“Today we had the pleasure of dining at Blue 42 Restaurant and Bar, located at 158 Market St, Elmwood Park, NJ, and I must say it was a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The security staff were particularly friendly and helpful, ensuring we felt comfortable and safe throughout our visit.
While our order did take a little longer to arrive than expected, it was truly worth the wait. Each dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The attention to detail in the preparation was evident, and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite. It’s clear that the chefs at Blue 42 take pride in their culinary creations.
We ended up spending a total of $78, including tips, and I felt that the quality of the food and the overall dining experience justified every penny. The combination of great service and delicious meals makes Blue 42 a restaurant I would happily recommend to others.

“We got seated right away. We were a party of six and they had no problems feeding us. The server was very kind and very nice. He continually checked on us and asked us if he needed anything. It took about 5 minutes before he took drinks and food. The OG was very good and it came with a Caesar salad that was delicious. I would not recommend the rigatoni with pesto unless you're getting it. As aside. It is very filling. Also, the tables were very sticky. Overall, I would recommend this if you need a quick place to eat.“

The calamari is hands down the best, and they even offer a gluten-free option! And let’s talk about the drinks… Omg amazing. The mango lemonade and mango tea are my go-to favorites. 🥭✨ The arugula salad is to die for, and if you’re looking for a weekend treat, their brunch menu is pretty great too! “Went there a while back with my boyfriend, and hands down, one of the best date nights of our lives. The food was delicious, the service was incredible. The host was so attentive, and personally came to our table to check if everything was good.
We typically don't order desserts, but that night, we called for their oreo cheesecake, I still get dreams about that.
All in all, I never leave reviews, but if you are in the area, please do give it a try. It's for sure to unlock some core memories for you.“

“Beyond expectations, which were high to begin with. The most welcoming and warm staff, very attentive and in perpetual motion. We were here celebrating our 40th anniversary, and they rolled out the red carpet, so to speak. They make you feel like a VIP. The food is perfectly prepared and beautifully plated. My husband said his short ribs were the best he'd ever had. My scallops over veggie paella were cooked just right (always tricky with seafood). Since we had pre-gamed with Prosecco, I can't speak to the cocktails. Ended with a lemon creme brulee - so light and creamy dreamy delicious with its lemon zing. And finally, the setting. How gorgeous - a light-filled atrium/conservatory nestled in the park, just magical. Can't wait to return. And what a nice surprise to be sent home with rich chocolate truffles and an anniversary card. Perfection at every turn.“

“I won’t lie, I took my partner here as a surprise after he got into the car and I had the very Kitchen Nightmare episode this restaurant was featured in. You know, the episode with Bobby the gangsta executive chef who was making $100,000?

It was a great episode, but the owners looked like very good people. Even though it’s been a couple years, I discovered Bask46 was not only still open, but thriving.

We didn’t get to set at Gordon’s booth, but we were right next to it. The service and food were fantastic!

My partner got the tacos, which he loved (the portions look bigger than what Gordon has suggested). I had the 46 burger. The first half tasted bland, but it seems because all the flavor was just on the other side — and when I hit that, I loved it.

The potato skins appetizer was OK, but still we had a great experience.

It was a Sunday night so we didn’t expect to see the owners, but we still had a great time, and it looked like things were running smoothly.

Fun experience, and who knows, maybe we’ll trek back again. Bask46 is one of the rare Ramsay success stories, and it truly is a success.“

The meat was so soft and it slid right off. I particularly liked the veggies in there. I also got the bibim guksu (spicy cold noodles). I told the owner I wanted naemyeon so he recommended the bibim guksu. It was really flavourful. Also - who can say no to unlimited kimchi! Highly reco this place. The portions were great for really good prices. And the owner was very nice!“

“This is the second time we’ve had Samar as our server, and he’s just wonderful! He’s so attentive, friendly, and always has a big smile on his face. We came in for the Triple Chocolate Meltdown (which is always a favorite!), but having Samar take care of us made it even better. The service here is always great.
