“I went here two weeks ago, very good food, I enjoyed my steak a lot, but there are couple things that I will point out, the music definitely must be more loud, you could barely hear anything it created the weird atmosphere since I could hear all what others around me are talking about, second thing they should inform you that the food will take a while go get ready, it definitely was worth it but just the server should be aware to inform us that it will be an hour wait for the food, also you can bring your own bottle of wine which is great!“

“Aroma de Cafe is a wonderful spot whether you're stopping in for breakfast or coffee with friends. I ordered the Colombian breakfast with scrambled eggs, arepa, and fresh cheese, plus a cappuccino that was perfectly made. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. The bakery case was full of tempting pastries, the staff was welcoming, and the cozy atmosphere made it easy to relax.“

“Great Peruvian restaurant! I've eaten Peruvian food several times, and I appreciate their elevated presentation and flavors. I saw some reviews speak of slow service. I don't know if that occurs during certain times, but I found the service to be excellent. Maybe the management saw the reviews and took action--if so, kudos to a responsive correction! Great food, excellent service, and beautiful atmosphere.“

The lunch special includes your choice of protein, two sides, and soup or salad, which I thought was a great value. They also have a nice variety of protein and side options to choose from.

We watched Costa Rica beat Paraguay in a Copa America game while eating pupusas, un Casado and Tacos Ticos and totally hit the spot. Especially since they served some salsa Lizano on the side.“

“One of my favorite restaurants! I’ve been here several times and I always have a great experience. The place is beautiful, the atmosphere is great, and the service is excellent. They have a great variety of food, everything tastes fresh, and the drinks are delicious.

It’s a great spot whether you’re going with a small group or a larger group. They also have a bakery section with different options, which is a nice plus. My personal favorite is the beef cachapa — definitely something I recommend trying!

“Had a great experience at Mesón Criollo in Ridgefield Park. This is the kind of place that really gives you that authentic, home-cooked Dominican food experience. The portions are generous, the food is flavorful, and there’s a great variety of traditional dishes to choose from.

I really liked seeing all the different options, from mofongo and empanadas to sancocho, different rice dishes, meats, seafood, and Dominican breakfast favorites. Everything has that comforting, homemade feel that makes you want to come back and try something different next time.

The owner was also a pleasure to talk to. I really enjoyed our conversation, and you can tell there’s genuine pride in the food and in the restaurant.

Overall, Mesón Criollo is a great local spot in Ridgefield Park for authentic Dominican and Latin American food. Great portions, traditional flavors, and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out!“

“I was looking for a specific type of soup, called a lot of the Spanish restaurants no one made it. Found this restaurant and from the first phone call they are truly amazing. They were very attentive to what I wanted. Quick and efficient.
