“I would like to pass along my review on Lefkes. Specifically, the extraordinary "ambassador"--the Lefkes manager--Eva who greeted our party. She greeted our party at the door, made our group feel special while making each individual feel recognized in a sea of humanity of guests. We were celebrating an office birthday party. She greeted each person with an elegance be-fitting of European royalty, with class and style. She ensured we were seated with a wonderful view of the dancing and action, while being able to enjoy our personal space. The food was to die for...she assisted the staff in serving the food and clearing our table to keep our dinner moving. When one of the people in our party requested a frappe, Eva asked one of the servers, "Dimtry" to prepare a classical Frappe. It was rich and creamy...Eva capped off our evening by having birthday pastries brought out with the flaring streamer...a memorable event from a very memorable person! thank you Eva and Lefkes! it became our Greek vacation! “Here's the review Spencer wrote for you: My family and I just visited to celebrate my grandsons birthday- we like to get a bunch of plates and share family style and this menu was perfect for that. You have to get mezze and extra bread (must try the kubane). We also ended up getting three orders of the shishbarak for the six of us, it is way too good! I got the salmon for my entree which was cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned. Spencer our server recommended the silan and the cheesecake for dessert so we shared those and boy were they something special- I can’t pick a favorite! He brought us a candle and we got some great pictures. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.“

“As soon as my sister and i walked in, we sat down, and i took a look around and saw how beautiful the interior was. The waiter came and took our order and maybe 20-30 after the food arrived. I ordered the truffle polenta while my sister ordered a burger. The food was really good. After we got dessert. We both got the tiramisu. It was great. The total was about $100 dollars, including the tip. The restaurant is full during dinner, so i would recommend reserving a table.“

Vegetarian options: Visiting NY and especially around Rockefeller, Diamond District, around 5th Ave , this is a definitely a place to dine in or have lunch , Mike is amazing and also the entire staff , they have Excellent salads for Vegetarians, definitely try their Humus and Babaghanoush. You will not be disappointed.“

“I had such a fantastic dinner with my business partner, who I also consider a friend! I introduced them to Mediterranean cuisine, and they absolutely loved it! They're from Virginia, so this was a delightful new experience for them. The food and cocktails were outstanding, and the atmosphere was so cozy. My wife and I got a bowl and we both loved it. If you are looking for a counter style Mediterranean place to eat this is a fantastic choice! All the food is made fresh. My wife ordered pita chips and falafel on the side and both were made fresh when we ordered. The pita chips were thick and super crispy. The falafel was incredibly moist too. Highly recommend!“

The location is very ambient relaxing I like the seating arrangements it feels very welcoming and not too overwhelming. “Every time we come to Manhattan and stay midtown we come back to this restaurant. Invited another couple to try it. Israeli salad ; salmon skewers were delicious. Humuus is fresh delicious. Matzo Ball soup great . Disappointed with the very sweet—-too sweet sorbet. They forgot to give us the chips we always enjoy. Had to ask for it. This was our forth visit in a year. May skip next time and try some other restaurant during our next trip to NY.“

“I'll focus on three main dishes of Bosnian cuisine: ćevapi, pljeskavica, and burek. This review comes from someone who grew up eating Bosnian food, my mother is from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Having eaten ćevapi and burek all over the Balkans, I consider myself something of an expert on this cuisine. If you have a similar background, keep in mind that this isn't your local Sarajevo, Banja Luka, or Mostar joint, so curb your expectations accordingly.

For what it is, the ćevapi and pljeskavica are a solid B+ compared to best I ate, probably the best you’ll find within a 500-mile radius of NYC. However, the burek (or more precisely sirnica, the cheese pie) is mediocre at best, bland and lacking flavor. It tastes like cardboard. I have a feeling it's pre-frozen and not made fresh on-site.

New Yorkers should definitely give this place a try - it offers a unique and interesting alternative to hamburgers and other fast food options.

Prices are reasonable, the staff are friendly, subway station is just around the corner. Four stars ****“
