From the moment my friend and I arrived, we were greeted with a warm smile by the maître d’, setting the tone for a truly special evening. The ambience is vibrant yet calm, with a stylish outdoor patio that adds a refreshing touch of open air and relaxation.
Sofia, our server, was absolutely phenomenal—polite, well-mannered, friendly, and incredibly thoughtful. She helped me choose the perfect drink, even bringing a wine sample that turned out to be a hit. Her descriptions were spot-on and made the decision effortless.
The food was outstanding. My friend’s Pre-Fix dinner was beautifully presented—her shrimp dish looked like a work of art, and the lime pie was perfectly balanced with just the right touch of sweetness and acidity. Sofia’s explanation of the chicken’s subtle sweetness was accurate and made the dish even more enjoyable.
Now, about the burger—I've had burgers all over, but this one was next-level. Cooked well-done (just how I like it), yet still moist and packed with flavor. The layers of pickled onions, Gruyère cheese, and sauce were absolute perfection.

Though I’m eyeing the Skewered Thighs for next time they look like a divine dine. Fortunately we’ve gotten in without a reservation, though I’m sure it’s good to have one.“

The place is absolutely beautiful: stylish, cozy, and with a really nice vibe. It’s the kind of place that feels perfect for a romantic date or a laid-back evening.
The music was a bit too crossover for the ambiance and my personal taste, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience.
The martinis were outstanding, easily the highlight of the night. I’d love to see a few snack options on the menu to go along with the drinks, but overall, it’s a great spot I’d definitely return to“

“Ended up here accidentally on a layover: Hands down, the best ramen I’ve ever had (springy, slurpy perfection), amazing cocktails (if you like gin the Japanese 75 is a must try!), and whatever the whipped cream, creme brûlée’d banana dessert was tasted like heaven. I even ordered another tonkotsu ramen to go (all the way to Florida) to bring back to my fiancé. “Went here on a Friday night with friends (reservation for 4, highly recommend booking ahead). We got there around 9pm and they had live music playing almost the whole night — such a fun vibe. The interior design and overall atmosphere really give you that speakeasy feel, stylish and unique.

We ordered the appetizer “tower” to share (mini burgers and snacks, solid but nothing mind-blowing) and a couple of oyster plates (just okay). Drinks were great, though most leaned on the stronger/earthy side — not many sweet cocktail options if that’s your thing. Still, the menu is creative and well-curated.

Price-wise, it adds up quickly — with the apps, oysters, and a couple drinks each, the bill was over $300 for four people. Definitely on the expensive side, but it felt worth it for the experience.

Service was attentive without being pushy. They checked in often at first, but later gave us space to relax and enjoy, which I really appreciated — no rushing to finish or leave.

One of my favorite neighborhood spots for smart cocktails, fresh charcuterie boards, and oysters by the dozen, I made a reservation for 4 this past Sunday and I arrived a few minutes early to find the table ready and waiting. Service was great, even with our server pulling double duties tending bar. We ordered up some beer and shot combos, sausage, deviled eggs, and, of course, dozens of oysters. There's not much happier a happy hour can get than this! We reveled in the good atmosphere, tasty nibbles, and refreshing libations. I always have a great time here and this was another perfect visit. 'Til next time!“

“My friend and I made a reservation for Gurumé at 7pm on a Saturday. I would recommend making a reservation if you are dining around this time, as it was packed! However, the crowd had dissipated by 8:30pm, so if you're looking for a later evening bite, it's definitely slower. I would also recommend not dining at peak hours because it was so loud. Decor is your average, upscale vibes, but the tables are really close together to maximize the amount of people in the space.

We ordered crispy corn and cheese ($14), oyster mushroom taco ($17), berkshire kimchi fried rice ($19), scallop crudo ($19), and pork & radish "bossam" ($19). We also ordered the black sesame bread pudding for dessert ($11). Overall, the food was flavored well and tasty. You're paying entree prices for appetizer portions, but it makes sense for the location. If I came back, I would skip the kimchi fried rice and scallop crudo. The fried rice was nothing special, and I have had better experiences with simpler ingredients; the scallop crudo was overpowered by the other flavors, losing the taste of the scallop. The bossam was so moist and juicy, with fantastic natural flavoring, though the other components did enhance the flavor. I would only recommend the corn if you are a corn lover and none of the other appetizers appeal to you. The mushroom taco had a great combination of flavors and the spice kick was mild. If you're a dessert person, the bread pudding was delectable, great black sesame flavor and the bread was also moist.

Service was outstanding. We were originally seated next to a large party, and they later moved us to a table further away where it was quieter. There were many checkbacks throughout the evening, and they definitely make you feel like you are valued as a customer. I would recommend Gurumé for a fancy night out and people in your party can talk loudly.“

I found Saar online, it was less than a block from our hotel so we figured we'd give them a try. So glad we did. Nice place. Great, friendly service (Karim is the man!), and excellent food. I ended up cancelling the reservations I made for night 3 and we went back to Saar. Give them a try if you like Indian food. It was amazing!“
