I was on the hunt for a place to surprise my husband he’s been craving real Moroccan food and this spot absolutely hit the mark! From the very first bite, it felt like a little trip back home. “The sandwiches such as the chopped cheese, lamb cheesesteak, and gyro was good. The tostones need seasoning with pink sauce, curly was well seasoning and delicious. The turkey bacon double cheeseburger was good. The pizza roll is terrible it is crap wrapped in egg roll shell. I rather get some real pizza rolls in a pizzeria than eating that garbage again. The service was okay however, when I tell the Muslim brother that rum raisin ice cream is haram because of the rum he acted all nonchalant about it. This is a halal restaurant no alcohol in all forms should not be allowed. Astaghfirullah to brother. The atmosphere was small people coming in and out there is no room to dine and enjoy the food so I glad I ordered to go.“

“First time trying both the Chicken & Beef Doner Boxes.I was pleasantly surprised how GOOD everything was! The flavourful meats with fresh veggies and feta, with or without sauces, all combined with the unique bread is a great new dinning experience unlike anything else. “I’m visiting NJ (lived here for a long time) and wanted to eat some of my favorite foods. I ordered dinner from port of peri peri and it was perfectly cooked but missing my fries. I let that be known to the restaurant and received a small refund. Next night, I ordered dinner again and I received a large order of fries on the house as well as a discount card for 5% for dine in orders valid for one more week. Amazing customer service. If I were in NJ longer, I would surely order again! The food is absolutely delicious 😋“

“Great service!
We both got chix shawerma platters which comes with 2 sides. Heads up, they come with side salad, and we chose tabbouleh as one of the sides. Had we known about the side salad it came with already, we would have chosen a different side. We mentioned this to the gentleman at the register and he offered us another side. We got tzatziki and baba ghanoush! Both were delicious!!

Kudos to staff for offering, this is true hospitality.

“I usually visit Dave’s Hot Chicken at 7th Ave Brooklyn.
This time we went so late that it was just 40 minutes left in closing and they had put all the tables and chairs away (means the dine in was closed already) but the girl at the counter was so nice that she not only allowed us to take the chairs and sit but also suggested us to rate them on app to get a free drink (everyone loves free stuff..right??)
The food and atmosphere is always always so good. We love to go there at least twice a month (as far from our place). Highly recommended especially if you are looking for some good halal food.“

“My favorite halal cart. Everytime I got Steinway I go there. The food is always fresh, chicken and lamb always flavorful and a lot of veggies included too. He offers me a falafel while I wait everytime. The falafels are great too! Very friendly, highly recommend.“

“Finally some good halal in midtown east! I got the chicken over rice with extra white sauce, it was really hearty and delicious. The chickpeas are a nice touch. Very reasonably priced for the area ($9 as of 7/3/24) and they take Apple Pay which is convenient. Definitely adding this to my office lunch rotation!“

“I had the chance to try the beef noodles here. Although the noodles weren’t listed on the menu, I saw a photo and decided to give them a try — and I’m glad I did! The noodles came with a generous mix of vegetables, and they used two types of noodles with different sizes and textures. The beef was tender and flavorful and u can choose spicy levels.The dumplings were also delicious. The restaurant is not very spacious, but it’s clean and neatly arranged. The service was excellent as well.“

“Royal Grill Halal on 44th & 6th Ave is a true Midtown gem (I've worked nearby for 30 years). He’s the nicest vendor you’ll meet and the chicken and rice is incredibly flavorful and fresh, with generous portions and speedy, friendly service. The jerk chicken is the most authentic dish I’ve had here in NY compared to having it in Jamaica and I have tried multiple places here looking for that Jamaican touch so that says a lot! “Just found it on the way to our hotel when we stop at dominoes pizza ,so I just enter the restaurant and order burns road chutney paratha roll and mayo garlic roll and falooda for me and my husband. And don’t regret at all . Amazing food. And having authentic falooda after so long. I must say falooda was actually the hit better than Toronto. (We are visiting newyork from toronto.) very near by to our uncle’s home. So we will definitely stop by next visit to newyork for falooda for sure.“
