I think his name was naddir (might be spelling that wrong, apologies). We only found out he was training after getting friendly with everyone serving us and he did a great job. “Looking for relaxing evening at a nearby place, I stopped into Empire Steak. Service was excellent and helpful with lots of recommendations. I went with the beef short ribs and I've never seen ribs this ginormous. The meat fell of the bone and through the folk - scrumptious.“

“​My husband and I stopped in randomly on a Thursday night and were blown away from start to finish. We were seated promptly, and the whole evening—from the ambiance to the service to the food—was truly excellent. There was even live music playing in the background; while I couldn't see the entire band, the performer on the piano and vocals set a fantastic mood.

​We started with the Tuna Tartare and the Lobster Roll, both of which were delicious. The complimentary bread service was fantastic as well (though I'm glad we didn't ask for seconds because the main course was enough!). For dinner, we shared the 18 oz USDA Prime Bone-In New York Strip and a side of Lobster Mashed Potatoes. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection, but the lobster mashed potatoes completely stole the show—they were loaded with massive chunks of claw meat and ended up being my absolute favorite part of the night.
​The hospitality was top-tier. The manager, Javier, stopped by our table to check on us, and multiple servers made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening.

The steak, I and my colleague got was lack luster. The steak was not juicy and tasted dry or old cut of meat, I requested medium rare but it was cooked more to medium. They are most known steak but has not shine in that department.

I didn’t give feedback about the steak to staff because I was at business meeting and did not want to ruin the mood.

The steak standard needs to be revisited at this location.“

The French fries however was disappointing- too skinny for a steakhouse standard; kinda feel like they are from McDonald’s

I had the Kansas City dry aged and wow I don’t know if I’ll ever have a better steak. Cooked to perfection, and the flavor is exquisite. I got it with the broccolini, and it was the perfect balance with the crunchiness and greens. Don’t even get me started on the drinks, the boulevardier is also the best I’ve ever had, perfect if you also are into Negronis but prefer bourbon. “Really great experience here. Lauren took care of us and was honestly a huge part of why the night was so enjoyable. Super personable, easy to talk to, and just made us feel really comfortable the whole time. My daughter loved her and keeps asking when we’re going back to see her again .You can tell when someone genuinely enjoys what they do, and it really made the experience stand out. Definitely looking forward to coming back.

“Omg absolute perfection!! My husband made reservations and told them it was our anniversary and they went all out. I had the filet with macaroni and cheese and who would have thought that was the best part. They did a champagne toast, had a “happy anniversary” card on the table and a candle in the cheesecake which was incredible. Our waiters worked as a team and made everything unforgettable. Ambiance (5/5): We were seated immediately on a Friday during lunch peak hours. There were very few occupied tables in the large establishment. The decorations provided a feeling of class and sophistication. Mood lighting is on the dark side but it was dead silent considering no guests in sight.
Service (5/5): Our wait staff was on the ready from beginning to end. Plates were cleared, crumbs removed, and often check ins.
Crispy Chicken Sandwich (5/5): Everything was done right!! the chicken had a lovely breading that had tons of flavor on it’s own. Not too much of it, not that oily, and a great exterior crunch to a juicy piece of chicken. The Korean BBQ glaze was delicious and paired well with the large cut house-made pickles and brioche bun. The sprinkled sesame seeds (white & black) were a nice artesian spin that also gave it an extra flavor!
Truffle Fries (4/5): The fries were truffle-forward and a light crunch to soggy (It needed more of a crisp for it to really knock it out of the park)

“Great pastrami sandwiches. I also tried the corned beef but didn't enjoy it as much. Corn3d beef wasn't bad just not as special as the pastrami.

Definitely stick to the pastrami.

Make sure you give yourself time. The line is long and they take their time with every customer. Very slow moving but worth the wait.“

Our steaks were cooked perfectly and tasted even better. The crab cake, broccoli and Mac and cheese were one of the best we have tasted. (I am very picky) the portions were plentiful. I didn't even have room for dessert (which is ALWAYS my favorite part of the meal) You will not be disappointed!“

“5/29 was my first time going to this restaurant for a birthday dinner and they did not disappoint at all. Its like they found a way to blend the astoria night live vibe with the service of formal steak house. Food was great, drinks were good but most of all the service was elite. My server's name was Chris. This man was on point with everything, professional and attentive so if you get the chance ask for Chris you wont be disappointed. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for great food with good music. I will be returning soon!“

“Niku X is definitely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in LA. The food is incredible—A5 Wagyu, king crab, and even tomahawk steak. The sesame cake, in particular, was a surprise hit. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients.
