However they didn’t serve us our bread and were going to serve it after the last course but I told them not to bother. They also were very slow to refill our waters. Other than that, it was great.“

We sat at the bar and had the pleasure of being served by the owner himself, Gabriel—a great guy, clearly passionate about his craft and providing exceptional service. We enjoyed the Gnocchi Sorrentina, Pappardelle Cacio e Pepe, and Mozzarella di Búfala Caprese—the freshest Italian cuisine we’ve ever had. 10/10!“

“This is the first time I have ever had such delicious food. It was the best dinner with the chef's detailed explanation. It's a perfect omakase for dates, friends, parents, etc. The service and accessibility are both excellent, and the wine selection to match the food was perfect. I highly recommend it.“

“Special cocktails. Outdoor seating available and is what makes a difference! Service is patchy the waitresses are better than the waiter however they still charged us full price instead of a discounted price at happy hour for our three wren cocktails which we only discovered afterwards. Also we found it strange that the wren cocktail which we learned to be a batch prep can be crystal clear one day and very opaque and milky the next day (the cocktail is a dark pink color) although the taste dows not change very much, still a bit strange!?

One of the desk staff at Franklin Hotel recommended Penrose! The staff, manager and bartender were so friendly. I have to say I was very happy. “Highly enjoyed my first time at the happiest hour! Came here for my anniversary on a Monday night. It wasn’t very busy, due to it being a Monday, but food and service were both excellent! Great vibes all around. We both got the happiest meal with the double smash burger and fries, was seriously one of the best burgers I’ve had! They made the night very special for me and my partner. We ended up staying for nearly 4 hours till they closed! Will definitely be back!“

Every employee, the hot dogs, ambience, prices, location, customers, and every in-between was spot on. We visited 4 times in the evening after sight seeing and it was the highlight of our day. Keep up with the first class job everyone is doing!“

“Here's the review Spencer wrote for you: My family and I just visited to celebrate my grandsons birthday- we like to get a bunch of plates and share family style and this menu was perfect for that. You have to get mezze and extra bread (must try the kubane). We also ended up getting three orders of the shishbarak for the six of us, it is way too good! I got the salmon for my entree which was cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned. Spencer our server recommended the silan and the cheesecake for dessert so we shared those and boy were they something special- I can’t pick a favorite! He brought us a candle and we got some great pictures. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.“

Amazing decor, great ambiance, it was packed and lively on a Saturday night around 10pm in contrast to the quiet streets of downtown brooklyn. We absolutely loved the Raspberry Shrub drink - the white vinegar added a little bit of a sour kick and made the cocktail one of the most memorable we’ve had. Super unique menu and fun food items. Henry , a manager , made sure the customer service was above and beyond and this is the day after New Years, so imagine a regular NYC day. Espresso martinis were on point , not to harsh and smooth. “The first time I heard about this place was when I saw their huge sign while driving. My friends and I decided to give it a try and enjoy the food. Since they were running late (or maybe I just arrived too early!), I ended up sitting at the bar and ordered a happy hour margarita with chamoy and Tajín on the rim. For $20, it included chips and guac or salsa—not bad at all. The margarita was delicious, and the chips were fresh.

Once my friends arrived, we ordered a few dishes to share: the enchiladas, tacos a la barbacoa, and tres leches cake. Everything was good, though the food itself wasn’t something we’d rave about, but we definitely enjoyed the overall vibe.
