“This place has an atmosphere almost unmatched of. The staff is so nice, gives you extra ice cream when asked, and overall couldn’t hope for a better experience. Their seafood is fresh and the presentations for the noodles is one not to miss. Will definitely be coming back all the time..

“This place is deceptively large. The door is so small, but once you walk in, you're really wowed by how large the place in. The decor is pretty interesting. I didn't expect that I would be walking into 6th century Tang Dynasty China, which was pretty cool. The food was so delicious and so tasty. Their mild spice starts out ok, but as the soup base keeps boiling, it becomes so intense, so I would recommend not letting any food sit in the soup base for too long otherwise it becomes way to spicy. Unless you're into that super spicy kind of taste. Their non-spicy broth is pretty tasty also, so this place is ok to take people who don't really eat spicy foods because my friends who don't eat spicy foods enjoyed their broth also. The only annoying this is the long wait time. We usually have to send someone who lives close by to go there to get a number and then kind of wait and guesstimate how long it will be until we get a table there.“

This is a solid choice for hot pot, but I think there are probably better hot pot places in Manhattan. It has decent hot pot and ingredients but everything’s pretty standard and nothing’s really special that makes me want to come back again. Also I came for Saturday lunch and there wasn’t a lot of people there… Next time I want hotpot in Manhattan I will probably try a different spot, but this is not a bad option if you are looking for a standard, little above average hot pot.“

“Me and my friends ordered Tomato half and spicy soup half! The beef tongue was my favorite. The broth was on point. Not too spicy and too numbly flavored, also by having tomato in the side pot, we could have both sweet and spicy flavor at the same time. It’d be better if they can get the customers sauces for free tho!“

“Beautiful space with delicious food. If you have never tried Hot Pot before this is a great place to share with friends or family. Jasmine and Cindy took care of us and made recommendations that we loved. It was hard to stop. Definitely be back to try some new flavors!“

“Came here for lunch because I’ve been craving some hotpot. I’m so glad I did. They have a wide selection of meats, seafood and veggies. I had the pork neck soup base which was rich and delicious. My favorite cut of meat so fat is the snowflake beef. It’s fatty, buttery and tender. The kimchi is amazing as well. Customer service is great. They leave you alone while still being attentive. And just in case they aren’t around, there’s a call bell. The seating is very private. They have booths that can close for even more privacy. The booths seat 6. Definitely recommend!“

“My daughter and I were big, big fans of the mushroom broth! We added chicken, beef, tofu, egg and even more mushrooms to it and enjoyed it over white rice.
Service was excellent and we were able to be accommodated without a reservation.“

“I had an amazing experience at this hotpot restaurant! The meat was high quality, the seafood was super fresh, and the vegetable selection was generous and vibrant. They also had plenty of unique dipping sauces and broths to customize the experience exactly how you like it. Overall recommend coming here!“

“Went there for lunch and dinner, I think the big hotpots are way tastier and flavorful than the lunch malatangs. My friend said the numbing peppercorns were too strong but I personally don't have a problem with that. I recommend going and sharing a giant pot with someone.“

“I've been to a lot of hotpot restaurants in the city. BeiJin Hotpot is a very average hotpot place. It's good, but hotpot is always good. Nothing exceptional for the price. The meat was good, maybe if we ordered different types of meat we would've had a better experience. There's nothing wrong with our dinner; we were just a bit disappointed. All in all, for the price range there are better places to go to.“

“Yesterday, on the Mid-Autumn Festival night, we brought our parents and children to have a meal together. We usually go to Flushing for hot pot, but we didn't expect such a good hot pot so close to LIC. There are many special dishes, all of which taste good. The bell shrimp slider and egg yolk shrimp slider are both good. The medium spicy base is just right. I will try the spiciest one next time.
But what makes me come back is the great service. The person who served our table was Tao, who was very attentive and provided us with soup and vegetables in a timely manner. One time, the soup accidentally spilled. They quickly replaced us with a new pot of soup and replenished various dishes. Before leaving, we were even allowed to taste the homemade soy milk in the store. Not because of these dishes, but because it can be seen from these actions that Tao really cares. He takes care of our family with intention. He hopes that we can eat happily and not be unhappy because of accidents. He only observes such subtle things out of kindness. , the service is so attentive. This kind of service is no longer common in fast-paced hot pot restaurants, and I hope that this original intention can be maintained. Thank you Tao for giving us the opportunity to take our children and parents to enjoy this wonderful experience. We will come back for food soon. I wish you a happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
In addition, the ladies and gentlemen in all the stores are very friendly. When passing by, they will subconsciously check the table to see if there is anyone who needs service. They will also say hello and say thank you for coming. It feels very friendly, like home away from home.
Thank you for your delicious food and beautiful hearts.
Kid-friendliness: It would be better to prepare some small children's plates instead of plastic boxes“

“Such a great hot spot place. And they are knowledgeable about gluten free and helpful in determining what can and cannot be ordered (though be sure to bring your own tamari if you want soy sauce). I’ve been here a few times and always have left very full and very happy“

“The broth in this place is flavorful, and the ingredients are fresh and relatively plentiful. The only complaint I have is the buffet items, they are tasty but in a slow day where they don't run out quick enough, they get a bit dry or soggy depend on the food type. Overall a good place to have shabu shabu with reasonable pricing. Recommend to give this place a try.“

“This authentic and yet upscale hotpot restaurant is fabulous, worth to visit again ( in which, I am returning AGAIN today with a party of 6!) Highly recommend Dolar Shop Manhattan to anyone who loves hot pot because of the following: -Excellent friendly service ( special thanks to Jason's exceptionally wonderful, attentive service, as well as the incredible professional manager Charles ) - Flavorful broth - large variety of food to choose from - high quality meat choice ( fine wagyu beef , USDA PRIME boneless short ribs, as well as fresh seafood ) Fresh and crisp veggies - clean environment“

“The “House Malatang” was sooo delicious. And reasonably priced! (How it works is you choose the vegetables and meats that you want, bring them to the counter, choose your soup, and they cook it all up and bring it to you) Definitely going again ?“

“I've been coming to this location for around 4 years now. Used to come once a week or so for dinner.
Recently my girlfriend and I decided to dedicate every Wednesday to hotpot, during lunch. Not only is the lunch menu more affordable, it doesn't take away from the experience whatsoever. Whether it's dinner, or lunch, we enjoy this location especially!
For our last few visits, we've came a little bit after opening, and have been sat with Damian as our server. Not only is he very friendly, he's also very patient and polite! Service with Damian is great!
Whenever we need something, hes very quick to get to us, and help us with whatever we need. The drinks he's recommended us, have been awesome as well. -- From what Ive experienced, he's been very understanding and makes sure we're comfortable throughout our stay.
He always takes our finished plates when he makes his rounds, and overall is very pleasant to be served by. I hope our next visits also allow us to be sat with him :)!
Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant has very spaced out rows of booths, allowing room for a wheelchair to attend a table without getting knocked into, or being in the way in any case.
Lovely to see!“

“Was in Flushing and craving lamb, so had to swing by Happy Lamb for some hot pot.
They have great AYCE options for diners, offering all kinds of meats, veg, seafood and other sides. The broth options are limited compared to some places, but both we got were incredibly tasty and fragrent.
The meat was delicious, and the veggies were fresh and clean. They have ice cream, but you have to ask (we didn't realize), so be sure to leave room! Overall, great atmosphere and dining experience - will definitely be back!“

“Ambiance (4/5): Plenty of seating and we were spaced far enough apart from other patrons. The sauce station is tucked away in a cramped corner. It felt like a no-frills hot pot place.
Service (5/5): We never felt rushed and felt like the service was on point. The time from when we order to delivery is definitely faster than competitors.
Food (4/5): The shared pot has 2 flavors to choose from. Meats selection tasted great and there was a variety of veggies and noodles to pick from. The AYCE also includes soft drinks (loved the grass jelly) and an ice cream bar with like 12 different flavors with toppings like M&Ms and pocky sticks! Orders are placed via a paper menu. There were no premium meats and there was a lack of sauce options. We did not try any of the seafood.“
