“Overall it's a great dining experience. The ambiance was cozy and stylish, with a French bistro style vibe. Staff were attentive and friendly throughout the meal. The pâté and bone dish stood out with great flavor, the Bánh Xèo was crispy, Wagyu Pho was solid and satisfying. Banh Beo was probably my favorite dish 🤤. Tables are on the smaller side, which adds to the intimate French style feel but may feel a bit tight for some. Would definitely come back to try other dishes.“

“Around 6:30 in the evening on weekdays, the store is almost full, business is pretty good, and the store also takes a lot of takeout orders.
The two of us ordered a bowl of mixed beef pho, a fried spring roll and a pork bun, and were very satisfied with everything. The fried spring rolls were very hot when they were freshly fried. They were crispy on the outside and filled with minced pork. They were delicious with the dipping sauce. There are three pork buns in a portion, and the fillings are crispy pork belly, pickled radish and sweet noodle sauce. This combination is unexpectedly harmonious and very satisfying. It is my favorite. The beef rice noodles contain beef tendons, beef slices and beef balls. There is not much meat but a lot of rice noodles. The soup is sweet and has a bit of Chinese medicine. It is just right for two people to share a bowl.“

“I personally believe this is the best vietnamese Banh Mi in manhattan. I always get #13 which is the OG cold cut combo.
If you want to Introduce your friends to Banh Mi... bring them here.
First timers would probably like the #1 sandwich. Which is just bbq pork. Or the #10 which is the lemongrass pork sandwich.
Fast friendly customer service and very organized“

“Saigon Vietnamese Sandwich Deli is the kind of place you stumble into once and keep coming back to.
The banh mi here is packed with fresh flavors — crisp baguette, juicy fillings, and that perfect balance of tangy pickles, herbs, and sauces.
It’s messy in the best way and tastes like real comfort food.
Fast service, fair prices, and zero drama — just good food done right.“

“The half hour wait was worth it the first time for excellent fish, tomato and noodle soup. Delicious flavors and the ingredients melted in my mouth. However my second visit was very disappointing. The fish was tough and obviously day-old. The tomato had been hastily cut in HALF without even removing the dark part where the stem connects to the fruit, and the GINGER was in such enormous chunks I thought it was POTATO. I was with friends from out of town so didn't want to complain to the staff. I am doing so here. Hope you're more careful next time.“

“Saiguette has a really excellent Banh Mi. The lemongrass pork shoulder is my absolute favorite, the spicy creamy sauce is delicious and the pork is juicy. The veggies inside are generously portioned and the bread is crispy and soft. I probably eat it once a week and its genuinely almost a perfect sandwich.“

“Sao mai is probably my favourite Vietnamese restaurant in NYC. The place is very cosy and no-frills, the food is always so inviting and delicious, and price point is so good (especially in the city nowadays haha).
My favourite dish here is the bun bo hue. The broth is sooo fragrant -- just the perfect mix of spicy and sour (the lemongrass and shrimp paste flavours both taste so vivid without being too dominant). The noodles are cooked to a nice texture (and come in a large portion size), and the beef slices are so tender and flavourful. So delicious ... I'm getting hungry just writing this haha.
I also really like the bun thit nuong for one of the non-soup noodle dishes. The mix of lettuce and carrots is always so crispy and fresh, and the veggies complement the perfectly-grilled pork strips so well. Adding a bit of fish sauces adds a nice depth of flavour when mixed into the dry rice noodles, and every bite, combining a bit of meat, carbs, and veggies, is wonderfully balanced.
The pho dishes are also fantastic. Pho tai is a particular favourite (the beef slices are so juicy and tender), and the broth is just so aromatic without being too salty or oily.
The price point overall is so good -- it's hard to find such a good value in the city nowadays. The appetisers can be a bit pricey, relatively speaking (I like their summer rolls, but it feels like I should just get another entree at that point haha), but each bowl of noodles is usually in the mid $10-20. So worth.
I can't wait to come back again :)“

“Saigon Social is an amazing Vietnamese restaurant in the LES of Manhattan. Owned and operated by Helen Nguyen who uses her wonderful restaurant to prepare food for those in need for various organizations in NYC. She is a wonderful person and an amazing chef using her classical training to prepare amazingly authentic and forward thinking Vietnamese dishes. It’s a must visit!!!!“

“Tried their OG Banh Mi, and WOW.... the baguette was incredible, easily one of the best Banh Mis I've ever had. The coconut cream coffee was also delicious and paired perfectly with the sandwich. Can't wait to go back and try more from the menu.
One tip: instead of waiting in line for hours, I ordered online for pickup. super quick and convenient. That said, I'd love to dine in next time to enjoy the full experience.“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Such a cute and cozy spot! The food was super yummy, the vibe was chill and comfortable, and the staff were so kind—especially Pim, who made us feel really welcome 💕
I had the crunchy spring rolls and shrimp summer rolls (no pics because I was way too hungry 😅), then the Pho Dặc Biệt, Hanoi-style Banh Mi, and finished with the most perfect Flan Cà Phê.
💥 I dare you to try the Pho—the portion is HUGE and totally worth it! Trust me, you’ll leave full and happy 😊“

“Really amazing food! We ordered Caramel Pork Banh Mi, Beef Bulgogi Bowl, and Kimchi Fries. Fantastic flavors and it just hit the spot after walking all over NYC. I ate the bowl before taking a picture because I could not wait. It just smelled so good. The spicy mayo sauce is so addictive and the fries were crispy and delicious. It's a small shop so there may not be enough space to sit if it's busy. But I would 100% be back the next time I'm in the city.“

“It was my first time trying Pho, and I genuinely didn't know what to expect. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! I had the beef brisket, and it was absolutely delicious. It made for such a comforting and enjoyable experience, and I'm grateful for the chance to try something new!“

“Omg this literally the best pho ever.
I had a LARGE beef brisket pho. The broth is to die for. That is a good thing after a hangover. The shrimp spring rolls are a good appetizer. The chicken and shrimp fried rice was amazing. The chicken noodle soup was the best ever. He had grilled chicken. My boyfriend needed this to revived himself. Chicken soup is good for the soul. The kind that says you matter and makes you feel you're blessed.
As soon as we got in they greet us with smiles and good tea. That's why we needed after a good night. Real soup is to the body what peace is to the soul. Soup is a symphony of flavors dancing on your tongue.
Thank you for having us and serving us with warmth greeting.“

“I had the beef pho, and it was tasty. The broth was flavorful, meat was tender, and I absolutely devoured it. (If you’ve never had pho, the beef is rare at first, but it cooks in the soup. That’s why it’s pink in the photo). The two friends I went with both ordered the chicken pho which they also loved.
I docked one star because the restaurant was sooo busy on the Monday evening when we went. We waited outside for 40 minutes, and I was getting hangry. In my opinion if you just want a plain bowl of beef or chicken pho it might be worth it to go somewhere less busy. As for their more specialized dishes, I would have to go back to try them!“

“My husband and I came to dine for a last minute Sunday night dinner, and we will now be regulars here! The food tasted great, the waitress and Marty were very friendly, and given that I cannot eat soy they were very accommodating. As the fried rice is made fresh, they could make it without soy, and same for the beef. And also the Pho that my husband had is soy free and made with amazing rice noodles. Highly recommend stopping by for anyone in the area looking for a tasty bite. (They even gave a sample of the jasmine green milk tea. Cozy welcoming vibe from the staff!)“

“We had been searching for a go-to Vietnamese place ahead of winter pho season and boy did we not have to look very far! Plum went above and beyond on all accounts. The plum platter appetizer was a must, especially if you’re bringing littles. The spring rolls were so incredibly fresh both inside and out, and the curry dumplings had perfect flaky dough that still held everything together.
Both the chicken and duck curry were hits. The perfect amount of spice for me (I enjoy mild to medium levels of spice but don’t seek out extra). The chicken was tender but could probably have been more so, but I’m just searching so something for them to improve at this point. It was all really well done.
Our wait staff was exceptional; they were cognizant of timing for our mains relative to when we finished our apps, and didn’t over-stay. They even provided an entire kid’s place setting for our two year old. A clean space, homey atmosphere, pleasant music, and DELICIOUS food. Coming again soon!“

“First time trying this spot, larger seating area than expected from passing by in the past and cute decor. My boyfriend got the grill beef banh hoi and I got the spicy lemongrass beef with fried rice. I also got the Thai iced tea. For appetizers, we had the spring rolls and Thai style fish cakes. We'd get every one of those dishes again and will definitely be back when it's cooler out for pho. The portion sizes were decent for the price as well, I think before I added on fried rice instead of white rice my meal was only $12. Service was great as well, so kind and attentive but not hovering!“

I live Vietnamese food and I always look for a hot rich large bowl of PHO 🇻🇳 here the flank and brisket pho, was large, love the broth and the noodles, It Came with a sprig of basil leaves, beans sprouts and a wedge of lime 🍋🟩 I added Sriracha sauce cause I love spicy 🌶️. The staff was nice and welcoming, it’s like a little treasure in Lower Manhattan“

“Fish banh mi is the best fish sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. The fish is SUPER fresh and tender/flakey, the fish fillet breading is not too thick, the fresh made house baguette is soft (not stale at all), the pickled carrots also tasted fresh and not like they’ve been sitting around like other banh mi spots. Love they have a wide delivery radius and go downtown. The fried chicken banh mi is flavorful too but spicy.“

“If you’re looking for quality authentic Vietnamese soups, it’s the place to go. Being familiar with Vietnamese food, even in Vietnam, but within the soup realm only familiar with Pho, I was recommended the Tai Gau. The broth is delicious and the staff super friendly. I was able to try a a new tamarind drink they offered me and it’s quite delicious! The atmosphere is simple canteen style. Highly recommended!“

“The most authentic and flavorful phở I’ve had in a long time. The broth is rich, clear, and deeply aromatic — you can really taste the hours of simmering.
✨ Pro tip: To enhance the authentic Vietnamese flavor, add one spoon of hoisin sauce and one spoon of Sriracha. It gives the soup that perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and savory that locals love.
Highly recommend for anyone craving real-deal Vietnamese phở — me Vietnamese approved!
and it’s just $15/bowl, such a good bargain!“
