“My partner and I love ordering from here. We live in the neighborhood and it’s so convenient to have a place like this we can walk to for something delicious at a great price. I don’t think you could go wrong ordering anything off their menu; their pizza is the perfect Jersey pizza, their burritos are huge and taste SO fresh, and their cheeseburgers are like In N Out but WAY better quality. “This place is so clean. You wouldn't expect it when you first walk in, but there's no dust balls or cobwebs or anything on the antiques on the walls. So impressive. The staff and owners are so polite and professional, I feel like I could do a full page review on them alone. Our waitress Lisa was a pure delight. A breath of fresh air. If you enter through the bar you get to have a "Goodfellas" moment as you pass through the kitchen to the dining room and get to greet the chef. Finally, the food. It was awesome. I had the steak cooked medium and it came cooked medium..."WHAT!!".... I KNOW, who does that anymore. Cooking a steak to the temp you want it. Innovative. Oh, yeah, my wife had some did too that she thought was delicious. Anyway, it's a cash only restaurant so stop at the ATM before you head there for dinner. Go soon, you won't regret it.“

“I typically avoid writing restaurant critiques, given my years of experience in the industry. However, my recent visit to Gramercy Tavern compelled me to share my thoughts due to the disappointing experience. I was excited to dine at the bar after waiting half an hour for a seat. I ordered my usual drink, appetizer, and main dish, knowing the restaurant’s reputation for excellence. However, things took a turn when I stepped away to use the restroom. During that brief moment, my belongings—two bags—were removed and given to the coat check staff without my knowledge. When I returned, I was unceremoniously escorted to the exit, which left me confused and uncomfortable. At the reception, I tried to express my concerns, but the staff was dismissive. I requested to speak with a manager, but the coat check attendant firmly stated there was nothing to discuss and closed the door in my face. This treatment was not only unprofessional but also disheartening, especially after spending $145 on my meal. It’s unfortunate that a great dining experience was overshadowed by poor service and a lack of accountability. I hope the management reviews this situation to prevent it from happening to others in the future.“

“Loved every dish- fluke with black tea, mint and peach(who knew raw fish and fruit went so well together?), amazing grilled artichokes and grilled eggplant. Barely touched my pasta with preserved lemon because I was full, but it was delicious. My daughter’s burger was iconic. The Platonic ideal of hamburgers. Coffee was also delicious. If we had not made a plan to go to La Cabral for dessert and more coffee, I am sure dessert would have been equally excellent.Service was excellent and our waitress was knowledgeable and interested in the food.The fluke reminded me of the first time I went to USC in 1988. I had a plate with raw marinated tuna, raw salmon and raw scallops. The little heaps of fish were so pretty on the plate with their contrasting colors.“

The food was excellent—we ordered the rack of lamb and gnocchi as our mains, both a 10/10. For appetizers, we had the tuna tartare and mushroom flatbread, which were solid 8/10.

We shared one of their tastings and it was enough for 2 people. We added a few side dishes as well and were graciously gifted dessert. The space itself is beautifully decorated. “Found this little gem and reserved for dinner. We were supposed to be in the Crystal Room but our host let us know that there was a big family with lots of kids so we opted to stay downstairs for a quieter meal. The main floor is decorated very nicely and while there were a number of other guests, it wasn't very loud at all. The food and drinks were fantastic, the service was impeccable, and the prices were reasonable considering the area. Lots of vegetarian and gluten-free options as well, for those with dietary needs. I would definitely dine here again!“

“The food and service at Robert is always exceptional! Tonight, a friend and I went there to celebrate her birthday. Initially, we were unable to secure a table by the window facing Columbus Circle. The lovely woman at the front desk was aware of our preference and, after a few minutes at another table, was able to move us to a table very near the window. My friend and I have dietary restrictions due to food allergies, and our server could not have been more attentive and patient. We started with the Spring Minestrone soup and the Tuna Tartare. Our entrees were the Spaghetti'd Squash and the Scottish Salmon. For dessert we shared the Molten Chocolate Cake. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented! The atmosphere is serene, and the restaurant is elegant. It is the perfect dining experience!“

“Had dinner there for the second time on Saturday night! It was very memorable. The food was absolutely fantastic. I had the eggplant with the Barata for an appetizer. It was so delicious and so tasty and my main course was the homemade linguine with lump crab and corn. We also got the meatball which was spectacular and then I got the cheesecake dessert which was one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever eaten. I absolutely love love love this place. Can’t wait to go back and eat there again.“

“Had a wonderful anniversary dinner. Food was excellent and the live music was great. They just so happened to play our wedding song which was perfect. My husband and I had the tuna tartar and scallops as an appetizer. The scallops were over this creamy sweet corn chowder with corn salsa and croutons - it was amazing and the best scallops I’ve ever had! Tuna tartar was delicious too. My husband had the pork chops with this mustard crust and eggplant sauce and I had veal milenase with an arugula salad on top. Both were really delicious meals. The veal was huge and definitely could have split that. Even though we were so full, we still managed to get the yummy Pineapple cake and hazelnut chocolate mousse for dessert.“

“One the best if not the best restaurant in Bergen County. The cauliflower appetizer is outstanding. I had the sole veronique. Perfectly cooked and incredible. My wife had the chicken Milanese and the chicken moist, not greasy in the least . Definitely recommend it.“
