“Absolutely delicious food! I had the chicken and rice dish and I loved that the chicken was shredded and mixed into the rice. Not over salted, perfectly seasoned. My toddler enjoyed it too! The empanada appetizer was delicious as well!Kid-friendliness: The tables are covered in white paper which was great for my toddler and my stash of crayons“
“Muy deliciosa! My daughter and I ate here based on a recommendation, and we loved it. The food was delicious (ropa vieja and lechon asado) and the sangria was perfect. Our server was very nice as well. The ambiance of this restaurant is cute, and had a good vibe going with lots of customers. It’s easy to find and close to the Eugene O’Neil theater where we saw a musical. It was perfect!“
“The Blended Bistro is amazing. Everything I’ve had has been absolutely delicious. My favorite things are the ham croquettes, the Cuban chicken sandwich, the pernil and I can go on!! If you haven’t been there this is a place you need to run and check out. Staff is great, place is adorable, cozy and feels like home. Owner Maddy, has knocked it out of the park with all her recipes.“
“Thank you for not disappointing. My friends and I had a girls' night, and they had not known this existed. They were happy with their meals and impressed with the place.I had been here twice, and the 3rd time was still a charm.Gives the other Cuban places a run for their money.“
“I want to thank Henry for taking my last minute Thanksgiving order. First time I ordered And it won't be the last!! The food was delicious and so fresh. I was hoping to have leftovers for the next day, but my guests had seconds and thirds and did not leave a grain of rice!!!!“
“I was intending to go somewhere else for dinner, but walked past this place and couldn't pass it up. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly and attentive service (shout-out to Justin), and above all delicious food--particularly the duck bao and ropa vieja. Would absolutely come back and tell friends.“
“Awesome place. Gorgeous decoration, with enchanting views of New York City skyline, live spanish music and staff is super friendly. Menu had awesome options that made it hard to decide what to order. Staff was super friendly, helpful and fun, they made us laugh and laughed with us. Dessert was also great. Prices are great, I was even worried about portions when I saw the low prices, but portions are big.Valet parking makes it easy for customers.Restaurant is on second floor, there’s a small sized lobby on the first floor, great for waiting if there’s a waiting time, I didn’t see an elevator but they might have one in the back for wheelchairs, but call to confirm. They have a lounge on the third floor, great space for events or larger groups.Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant in second floor. I only saw stairs, no elevators (call and ask, they might have one in the back)“
“We staying next door at the Muse and I walked the 20 steps to Margon to get a cafe con leche and tostada cubana. I was blown away. As born and raised Miamian, I can honestly tell you that the best cafe con leche is found at Margon in Manhattan. Hands down. And the ambiance reminds me of the old-school cafeterias and bakeries my grandfather and dad would take me to as a little girl. Keep doing what you’re doing .. loads of blessings and suerte, your way!“
“I think this place must have completely changed their menu, because it was absolutely not Cuban, except for an empanada appetizer and plantain sides. It was expensive New American. The description and images are wrong. Look at the latest menu before deciding to go here.“
“Cuban restaurant in Bergenfield, NJ Cuban family restaurant in New Jersey with ample parking space. My wife and I were greeted and served with great kindness by an efficient and bilingual staff. The restaurant is spacious, and its ambiance is refined. Its décor combines a display of original works by Cuban painters and Oriental vases. The menu, prepared by a Cuban chef, is diverse, with various starters, main courses, and desserts. As main course I ordered lacón, the kind I remembered eating in Cuba, which is not easy to find in New York. My wife had sea bass. Our dishes were all very good. We were very pleased. My wife favorite was a starter called “Discovery”. I particularly enjoyed the flan. Our only recommendation has to do with the music, which was only Salsa while we were there. In our opinion, the addition of other types of Cuban music could enhance the experience. The owners do not have a liquor license yet. Forewarned, we were able to bring our own bottle of wine. We had a great time. Highly recommended.“

“We tried the pabellón criollos (traditional Venezuelan breakfast) and pan con bistec guaro (Venezuelan steak sandwich), as well as the agua fresca de flor de Jamaica (Costa Rican sorrel wine, non alcoholic). Great dishes with a warm brunch ambiance.“
“Exceptional dining experience! Outstanding service, exquisite presentation. The Churrasco was pure perfection, and the desert was delicious. Christian the manager gave me a warm welcome. The waiter Agustin was very patient and Priofesional. I will definitely be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for this Amazing Restaurant.“
“This place was very awesome, Gus was an extremely nice and welcoming guy. He served us breakfast empanadas and insanely delicious coffee. The everything seasoning breakfast empanadas were THE best morning empanadas I’ve had in the area; and I would order that cold brew any day of my life. 10/10 experience will go there again ?“
“Delicious and authentic Puerto Rican food. The yellow rice is soft and tasty; it is very well made. The pernil is also very well cooked but does lack a bit of seasoning, it still taste good but I think they cook can add a bit more seasoning to it and it will be PERFECT! I always feel like I am back at home whenever I order from Mis Raices.“
“The only issue was trying to get someone to speak English on the phone when I called. After talking to 3 different females, the fourth one spoke English. And the valley people lost my car keys ticket. I had to go thru all the keys to fi d mine.“
“Let me say this is one of the best experiences I ever had in the restaurant: I felt so much like home there . I started the year with a great experience when I decided to go to this restaurant to celebrate my mom on one the coldest day in Jan 2024 and May I add I’m glad I trusted my gut . The lady and gentleman working there was so accepting and accommodating of me being late . Long story it was empty , clean and the food was excellent. I would encourage you to try their drinks which was strong and good ; the sauce for the bananas was amazing . I can’t wait to visit again . I felt a lot of culture and that is what we want , hidden gem Trust me if you went to just get wings on their happy hours I’m sure you will not be disappointed but even a romantic dinner would be just as successful“
“We came for a private event. The service was quick even though we were late. The ceviche was the one thing I didn’t like. The empanadas and skirt steak skewers were delicious. The mango butter for bread as well. I had the fillet Mignon and others had the skirt steak. Both of the meats were tender and tasty. The 4 leches cake was well made. Many times, in other places, the cake is lacking the “leche” aspect. The service for the food was excellent. Not so much for any other request. They had to be reminded to bring simple things like soda or steak knives. At the end of the evening we were still waiting on 2 sodas. This place is a lounge late Saturday nights as well. In the warmer months they have tables outside for lunch and dinner and you can appreciate the spectacular view of the New York City. All in all, I would come back.“
“I've been going to Rumba Cubana for years and I've been to most of their locations. The food is always good, served hot, and the customer service is always great. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience (and I'm really picky when going out to eat)“
“If you’re searching for authentic, delicious and reasonably priced Cuban food in Essex County, look no further than this gem in Bloomfield called Bodeguita Deli! You won’t be disappointed. Food is delicious, service is excellent and you perfectly priced.“
“My boyfriend loves red snapper so I am consistently seeking places that serve it - on the bone where possible. We just so happened to be in the area when I found it on the menu. Went once and now regularly drive an hour just to come here for the red snapper and Pollo al ajillo which is my favorite (huge garlic fan). I want to explore other items on the menu but I can't because I absolutely love that dish. The happy hour during the week is also fantastic, he drives and I indulge in mojitos, which is a huge win for me. The happy hour apps are great too! We've tried them all.“
“This was me and my friends’ go to stop for empanadas!! We would come here every sunday for lunch, but sadly they got rid of the fried ones and now baked and not nearly as good as the old ones :((( please bring back the old empanadas, we would look forward to those every week!!!“
“This spot will take you straight to the El-bario Chino right here in NYC. Can’t wait to go back for the *bottomless* brunch! Delicious & flavorful! Wanted several things off the menu & our server kept our glasses full.Food:Each dish is infused with Cuban and Chinese flare. Must-order apps: My friend and I ordered the Ma-Po Maduros (omg mouth watering thinking of it. Just get it. That’s it), the Cuban sandwich springs rolls (hands down best app on the menu! Unique & tasty take on the classic Cuban sandwich - Flakey & flavorful w/a zesty sauce), and the Crispy shiitake wontons (these were okay, needed more flavor for the veggie). For entrees we ordered the Cuban eggs Benedict (cooked nicely & tasty) & the steak and eggs (a classic brunch edition but the chimichurri sauce on the steak was amazing!).Drinks:Choose the boozy bottomless brunch. Only $29 with your classics (mojito, mimosa, margarita, sangria etc.. ) & also other drinks with a twist like a twist (guava screwdriver). Never disappoints, constantly refilled (getting your moneys worth for sure).Atmosphere:Adorned with Cuban/Chinese centric decor. BUT Venue is very very small, narrow and was super short staffed BUT our server did his best and was very professional! Only a few tables for large parties. They make do with the space they have.Overall - GO! Can’t speak for lunch or dinner but the brunch has me sold.“
“How I love this restaurant, just like his entire family, Juanito was of great support to me, he gave me work when I needed it the most, what kind of person I love them very much and their quality of food is incomparable, I am proud to appear in one of their photos that they have on your wall next to my great Mr. Juanito, 100% sure that as soon as I am in NJ I will visit you, a big hug for all of you and I remember Elena very much, my name is Ivan Orellana el catarcho. Greetings“
“My third order, the waiter took down the wrong order. I asked for boliche (pot roast) moros (rice and beans), and plaintains. I received boliche, plantains, and maduros Sweet bananas! I called and they delivered the moros (beans and rice)right away. Next time I will ask the waiter to read the order back to me! However, the food is fresh, the staff is polite. The delivery is prompt!“
“When I tell you I loved this place! Just wow! The food is absolutely fresh like a better flor de mayo. I’m sorry not sorry..the chicken was just so good, fluffy and airy. They have some of the best fried dumplings, same texture as the chicken. It’s like fried but baked at the same time lol so so good! The drinks were nice and balanced also, I really enjoyed my mealI would definitely come here again, the onlyyyyy thing thing is parking ! Finding parking is such a drag in this area. Either take the train or take your chancesKid-friendliness: It’s a family oriented restaurant suitable for children“
“There's is no better place to eat than at La Casona in Union City NJ. The price is reasonable, atmosphere, service and the food is fantastic. The price is right. Forget about paying 16 $ for arroz con picallado .Here at La Casona you will only pay $10.00 Check their daily price for the weekly cheap menu. No more that $ 11.00BYOB“
“Neat experience off NY Times Square. Busy so we headed for the bar to enjoy some sips and eats. Really neat atmosphere with locals and tourist alike. Bartender and staff super friendly and attentive. We enjoyed empanadas, shrimp ceviche, and bandeja vegetariana. Place pretty popular. Recommend reservation if you want table.“
“Literally the best breakfast place in Lyndhurst. The sweetest staff and delivery driver. Never met a better place full of the best people.Kid-friendliness: They host 11-12 lunch times for the nearest high school and middle school. They are so patient and understanding of all the hungry students.“
“I'd recommend pio pio to all my friends and family. It's one of the best restaurants in the area, in my opinion. Must try the caleo Gallegos, and the tamal en cazuela, it's by far one of the best in the are. Thank you guys for the great food, I truly appreciate it and enjoy it very much!“
“Moras Take Out is a culinary gem! From the Tequenos to the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, each dish is a flavor-packed delight. The attention to detail and commitment to authenticity shine through in every bite. The diverse menu, including Quesadillas and Vaca Frita, caters to various tastes. The Kids Menu is a thoughtful touch. With impeccable service and a charming atmosphere, Moras Take Out earns a solid 5 stars. A must-visit for a genuine taste. I’m really happy the location it’s in very close to me. Family owed which gives it that home cook meal feel.“
“Brunch Buddies had brunch on Sunday. The food was delicious, the oxtail is the best , meat fell off the bone and that gravy ,so yummy. The portions are just right. Try the green beans we ordered for the table and we all loved it. Staff is friendly and attentive and the wait for the food was very short. .“
“I have been visiting Did Amigos for over 20 years. Highly recommend the flavors in this steak sandwich. Make sure you get cheese and onions. Batido de trigo is also delishious. Cash only local spot.Parking: You can park in the lot above the restaurant for 1 hour , just make sure they stamp your card.“
“The most outstanding catering that I've ever ordered. You wouldn't think to go to a steakhouse for Rigatoni Bolognese and eggplant parmigiana but MAN! 354's version was next level. Every item that I ordered for my team was a 10 out of 10. The restaurant itself has a great vibe, but I'm telling you - the catering is where it's at! Great job 354. ??????????“
“An outstanding place, amazing and delicious food and lastly but not least the service was excellent. Thank you so much to Isabel our waiter and the rest of the staff for making our night and my aunt 60th birthday special. We will be back again!!!“
“Good Cuban food. Glad to find vegetarian options for Lunch. Staff is super friendly. Manny the host has amazing vibes. Loved the overall experience and a place to have a quiet sit down lunchVegetarian options: Some vegetarian options. Spinach Empanada was good“
“Never had Chinese Peruvian food before so was very intrigued. Came on a weekday night and was surprised that the store was packed. Was able to get seated quickly and they allowed us (2 people) to sit at a 4 person table which was very nice of them. - Complimentary Bread - I don't know what they put in this bread, but I was a huge fan. The bread was so soft and hot... and with the butter, it was just perfection. I also loved the crust as it was very flaky and crisp. I could just eat this as a whole meal and be happy. - Lomo Saltado (Beef) - I was not a big fan of the fried rice on the side but this was one of the best Lomo Saltado I've had in the city. The tomatoes and onions were cooked to perfection as they were very soft and packed with flavor. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The beef was also very tender but crispy at the same time. - Chinese Style Squid Fried Rice - Not a big fan. Feel like there was a strong oily after-taste like the fried rice in the Lomo Saltado. I did appreciate how many ingredients there were, but it didn't feel very appetizing. Overall, would just recommend the bread and the Lomo Saltado if you do come here. Also, I have to say that it's refreshing to watch all the servers play around, it made me very happy to know that they all are great friends with one another.“
“It's a small but charming little Cuban Cafe and Restaurant. Seating is limited to a cozy corner with a compact sofa and chairs. The coffee is delicious and Breakfast. The rest of the menu are fried delectable Latin meats like pork, fried plantain, longaniza etc... They also have options to order large trays, which is perfect for party's.“
“I loving everything. So delicious and fresh. The flavors melt in your mouth.. everything is done perfect with so much delicious taste. Everyone is so nice. And the place looks very nice and clean. I definitely be back. My son lovedddd the food too.. is really is so delicious. ?❤️“
“4 stars because you can't find this great of Cuban food for this level of service, amount of offerings, price, and portion size at another spot near East Midtown. I've Ordered: *Veggie Plate (3 sides): Maduros, Yellow Rice, Potato Salad (don't judge, i was craving it once i saw it lol) *Side Salad*Tostones *Cheese Empanada + Spinach EmpanadaNotes: *Potato salad is a skip.*Tostones were good/okay *Must get the fried fish or salmon next time *Yellow rice was so fluffy, perfectly cooked *Empanadas were crispy af with delicious cheese inside *GREEN SAUCE IS THE GOAT. ask for extra. the white, garlicky, toum-like sauce was amazing as well.“
“I like this place. They have good pernil. I like ordering the mini bc it's just enough food. They lose one star because they give A LOT of rice to fill the dish when they can be giving more plantains or vegs. I see that they're stingy when it comes to giving more plantains and other sides but rice oh they will load you with rice. The place inside has just enough seats if you're not eat here in rush hour. I believe it has about 5 tables.“
“This place is so good! It's good for homey Cuban cuisine and the the staff is really nice. The lunch specials aren't cheaply made and the price is right. COVID wise they do a great job maintaining the 6ft distance and use masks/gloves. Totally recommend!“
“I believe Flor de Mayo is a unique NYC chain mainstay. I love that they have multiple locations but I usually go to the same one lol. Last time I was here it was right before I was pregnant with my daughter. The staff is always on point and it’s always packed. Locals love the drinks and Chinese-Peruvian fusion. This place is my version of an upper echelon Chinese Food Restaurant!! There use to be something similar on Fordham Rd. MOVING ON!!I ventured out this time and ordered food I normally wouldn’t. I got the cilantro rice and wasn’t really satisfied. I thought the rice was a little mushy and not the flavor profile I was looking for. The chickpea guisado could’ve been better. It really just looked like they threw a slurry in a pan with tomato sauce and chickpeas. I will not be ordering either of those again. I will stick to the fried rice which is always exceptional! My grandmother accompanied us on this trip and enjoyed herself so I appreciated that. We just learned she has GERD so having something she enjoyed made our day. With love.“
“Nestled in the heart of our town, The Cuban Union City offers an authentic Cuban culinary experience that is both delightful and unforgettable. As soon as you step inside, you are warmly greeted by the vibrant atmosphere and the friendly staff, setting the stage for an extraordinary dining experience. The empanadas are a crispy delight, with a golden exterior that crunches satisfyingly at the first bite. Filled with a mixture of seasoned meat, each empanada is a flavorful explosion that captures the essence of Cuban cuisine. An unexpected surprise, the guacamole chips at offer a fresh and innovative take on traditional Cuban sides. The chips, perfectly seasoned and crispy, paired with three different style guacamole, make for an irresistible combination that's hard to stop eating. The drinks are great as well, don’t miss them out!!Overall, what sets The Cuban apart is not just its exceptional food but also its outstanding service. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcome and taken care of. Their recommendations are spot-on, and their attentiveness adds an extra layer of warmth to the dining experience.“
“This place is definitely hidden from the plethora of restaurants on bergenline. It’s basically a cafeteria with a bar, the waitresses are nice to the point - just know what you want.Only reason why the review loses is a star is the “cuban tamale” its not , no meat/pork - it’s basically an elote (corn tamale). It ain’t terrible for an elote but a traditional Mexican restaurant would be the ideal spot for that. The food is actually good , nowadays outside food especially “cuban” food is trash - nothing like abuela / mama / tia. It will hit the spot! The croquetas were soft, they could’ve been fried more to get them crispy. The mondongo was delicious, generous portions of tripe!Would definitely return, recommend (except the tamale)“
“The employees were friendly and it seemed like they have regulars seeing as they knew people's names. The food didn't take long and it was steamy which made it feel more like home cooked meal. I ordered an orange and carrots juice, and I was wondering if it was going to be freshly squeezed or concentrated and to my surprise it was freshly squeezed right in front of us, which made it even better. The empanada wasn't anything I expected which was good. It was a cheese and guayaba empanada and the saltiness and sweetness was a great combination. I would definitely come here again once I'm in the area!“
“Gilbertos has been around for a long time. So no need to say that the food is very good. The service also outstanding and the ambience. Well it's a cafeteria type place with a few tables and a full counter. They are Cuban sandwich is really good and so is the ropa vieja.“
“I would return tomorrow if I could. Dinner with a party of 6 people. The waitress was kind and informative. For apps we have empanadas, gauc with painting chips and croquettes. They were all delicious and fresh. I got the Havana Shrimp for dinner. The shrimp was succulent and plump. I got so full I ended up having to bring half of my dish home. It did not disappoint. It's BYOB. They mix our wine with the house sangria. It was delicious. Rebeca is truly a hidden gem and I would recommend to everyone “
“Best cuban pizza in NJ. I come all the way from elizabeth to come to this pizzeria, the service is always amazing and the owner treats my family and I like old friends. We have been going there since they first opened and my son Marlon loves his cuban pizza. Plenty of options on the menu and the milk shakes are amazing.“
“First off I love the remodel. I’ve been here several times and always enjoyed the food. It was my first time coming for dinner and we were seated right away. Our waiter was super patient and nice. For appetizers we tried the toston montado which is the skirt steak, onion jam with chimichurri sauce over a crispy plantain along with the yucca frita. The toston montado is a must try- so savory and yummy! For the entree I had the ropa vieja with beans and yellow rice- it was delish. Food is always spot on!“
