“The options for good and authentic Asian food in this area are limited. We have done Sakura for takeout a handful of times and they are pretty good for takeout/quick Asian food. The sushi is affordable and the fried rice portion sizes are huge. We have also tried a few of their appetizers including the seaweed salad and dumplings. All the food here tastes good and we have no complaints. Will order takeout from them again.“

“You’d never think this little spot in a strip mall area is anything, but it’s some of the best sushi I’ve ever had! Also the kimchi they give right when you sit down is amazing. I am a huge sushi fanatic and this is definitely Top 3 I’ve ever had. Service is wonderful.“

“The sushi was absolutely delicious, and the presentation of the food was beautiful. The rolls were also really good, with so many varieties to choose from. I also really enjoyed the udon and the salmon bento set—they were full of flavor. The atmosphere inside is warm and inviting, and the wall art is fun and memorable. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. It’s the kind of place I find myself coming back to often.“

“The food was delicious. It was a super cute little environment. We went there for my friends birthday. They gave her a dessert for free. I got a dancing eel roll. It was $16 and I was full so I was happy with it. I had so much fun and it was so so yummy“

“Honestly this is one of the best places I have been recently! I looked on a top rated place and found this one. It lived up to it's name! Sushi was fresh and delicious. We also had perfectly salty edamame and yummy mochi. They even gave us an extra one! If was a very calm place only sushi bar seating but YUM!“

“The sushi here is incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious- easily some of the best we've had! But what keeps my sisters and me coming back is the amazing staff, especially the head waitress. “Hands down better than almost all NYC yakitori. 💯
Recommendations:
- Chicken Oyster 😳
- Chicken Wings 😩
General Comments:
- Although it takes a while, it's clear that the time is used to deliver quality. 😌
- Perfectly cooked skewers with smokey flavor. 🔥
- I was afraid the chicken might be raw because the skewers are thick, but no, they were thoroughly cooked AND juicy.
- The mushroom and chicken thigh skewers were also great but the other two I recommended were even better.“

“Really fresh fish! Only had some yellowtail (I think) that seemed to be thawed so didn’t taste great. Otherwise, the Lover’s Boat was really good. All you can eat is another option I’ll try next time. Soup and salad are good as well. BOYB is a great plus, liquor store on the same block. Officially favorite local sushi spot!“

“I love coming to Wasai Bistro whenever I’m visiting the east coast. I’ve followed Chef Nelson since his days at Aozora and Wabi Sabi. His food quality, menu options, and value are unmatched in the area. Once you try his food you will understand why he has so many repeat diners. I highly recommend the Mes Reves Roll, Uni and bone marrow ramen, Miso glazed sea bass entree and salmon lover entree but it’s very hard to go wrong with anything Chef Nelson serves. Parking is street parking only but honestly I’ve always had a very easy time finding a spot. BYOB so you can drink what you love.“

“I had an incredible dining experience at this sushi place!
The food was fresh and absolutely delicious, with the fish tasting as if it was just caught.
The service was excellent attentive and friendly, making sure everything was perfect throughout the meal.
The highlight of the evening, though, was the mango panna cotta. It was the perfect way to end a delightful dinner—refreshing, smooth, and bursting with flavor. I cannot wait to return! Highly recommended!“

“Okinawa Sushi and Asian Food is a locally owned family restaurant. Although it is a small establishment with limited seating. The staff is friendly and attentive offering exceptionally high quality cuisine. The restaurant is known for its fresh, expertly prepared sushi at competitive prices. It has become a popular dining choice within the community. Our order included the Boston Roll, Dragon Roll, and hand-rolled California Rolls, all of which were consistently delicious and fresh.“

“For a long time, sushi was considered exotic and maybe a little scary. But now one can find it practically everywhere, even in the grocery store. Sushi is a Japanese dish referring to the sour flavor of the vinegared rice.
Translated from Japanese, meaning “looks beautifully flavored,” my partner and I decided to stop for a quick bite at this establishment situated on a busy Boulevard in Hasbrouck Heights.
Upon entering this clean and relaxed vibe as first-timers to Oishi Sushi, we had the entire place to ourselves and decided on a table by the window. They also have a small stool area in front of the sushi chefs.
Their extensive menu comprises a range of sushi rolls, sashimi, and bento boxes.
We opted for the Seaweed Salad, Avocado Roll, and Vegetable Lover Roll.
Food was excellent, presented well, and using the freshest quality ingredients. The Seaweed Salad was a tad salty; otherwise, everything tasted deliciously good. The price and portions were reasonable. The service was quick; the staff was friendly and courteous.
We can recommend this place.“

“Woman who takes orders is absolutely the worst. It’s my birthday she won’t even give a single smile or have any sense of being personable. You need to replace her or your reputation is gonna go down the drain. Ruined my birthday lunch. I had a feeling she might be awful every day cause this has happened before so we called ahead to warn it was my birthday and they assured we should come. Regret it! Seriously get rid of her!!!!!!“

“If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. That’s what this restaurant is built on, they’ve perfected what most couldn’t: late night eats that satisfy the soul. Each type of dumpling was made with extra TLC. The hibachi combos were delicious as well, loaded with flavor, I’d recommend the noodles. And lastly the star of the show were the bao dumplings and garlic soy sauce. It paired so well with the flavor palette given I was appalled. Simple options, spectacular taste, save money live better walmart“

“As a top reviewer who has tried countless ramen spots across NYC and beyond, I can say Hitto Ramen delivers a satisfying experience worth checking out if you’re on Staten Island. The ramen here is the star: the broth is deep and rich with layers of savory flavor that linger, the noodles are fresh with the right chew, and each bowl feels thoughtfully prepared.
The gyoza were crisp with a light, flavorful filling, a solid start to the meal. The pork belly buns were decent , tender pork, soft buns, though not the standout of the night, they still hit the craving. The portions were fair, and prices are reasonable for the quality.
The space is clean and welcoming with a relaxed, neighborhood vibe that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy your meal. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive without hovering, which I appreciate.
It’s clear this is a spot that cares about its food and its customers. Would love to see more variety in appetizers to round out the menu, but overall, Hitto Ramen is a reliable, comforting choice when you want a warm, satisfying meal without the trek into the city. Definitely worth a visit, and I will be back.“

“This is by far the best takeout sushi in at least a 20 mile radius, short of expensive sit down omakase. Fish is always fresh, never a “fishy” smell or taste, delivery and pickup orders always correct, very nice people. The fish to rice ratio in the rolls is perfect. Special rolls are a good value and delicious. Hope it stays in business for 50 years“

“Food, like always, was very very good. The serving was plenty and the taste unmatched. The menu offers plenty of choices. It was so delicious and plentiful that my wife and I, even giving it the old college try, were unsuccessful in finishing our meal. Well then a takeout is necessary. Something to munch on later.“

“Food was fresh and served very fast.
Personally for me there were too many options with deep fried crab/shrimp inside rolls.
Salads are good tho!
Definetly worth trying!
There was no waiting at a dinner time and the stuff was very friendly and attentive.“
“Absolutely outstanding! Best crispy chicken poke I ever had and was served by such sweet polite workers. I instantly wanted to return and am heading back the very next day for lunch again. “We've been meaning to to try so many of the new restaurants in the area. We finally got here for a late lunch today. Not surprisingly on a Thursday at 2PM and snowing, we had the place to ourselves. It was fortunate because the woman who took care of us explained everything to us in detail. I wasn't familiar with the Kurobuta pork. Apparently it's known as the, "Kobe beef of pork." All their pork come from Berkshire pigs. They come from a farm in Jersey. I'm guessing North Jersey. (Lot's of cool info if you Google them) Cooking is done using White charcoal which is used in traditional Japanese cooking. We started with the crispy cauliflower. It had crispy shallots & tahini vinegarette on them. They were delicious! Then the Shanghai bao. Filling was pork. (naturally) So delicious and juicy! When you slice them in half watch for the juice to squirt! We ordered six skewers. Two with pork jowel (cheek) Two regular pork and two fish. Again, delicious. i also had a bowl of spicy miso ramen. Our server explained how the broth is simmered for eight hours with pig bones and marrow. I could tell as the broth was very rich! That was it for us. We were both very full and i even took half of my ramen. We can't wait to return and bring friends! Highly recommend! ✌️“

“Authentic taste. The hot tea is excellent, and, the vegetarian options are plentiful.
Vegetarian options: The menu offers a lot of options for vegetarians in rolls with avocado, cucumber, mango, and others. Also, the noodles soup with veggies is of very generous quantity. The broth in the bowl is very flavorful.
The bottomless hot tea is great!“

“I read a lot of wonderful reviews about this place, but may be it hasn’t quite disappointed but at the same time I couldn’t find myself raving about it.
It is okay for what is is, although it could really have been great if it tried harder, both with food volume and taste.“

“The restaurant is located in the Dyker Heights section of Brooklyn. They prepare Japanese cuisine. I ordered the sushi bento box. It includes choice of soup or salad, three shumai, rice, and eight pieces of sushi. The sashimi bento box is the same with nine pieces of sashimi. The harumaki are Japanese spring rolls and were crisp. The vegetable gyoza are dumplings with a vegetable filling. The food was fresh, well-prepared and well-priced. Very friendly and helpful staff.“

“Itto Sushi has probably taken over my top spot for fresh Sushi in Hudson County and while it would be nice to have Sake choices at the restaurant, the ability to bring my own with their BYOB policy, I can easily pick up a decent Daigingo Junmai from several places nearby to the restaurant as Jersey Coties sake scene isnt pretty nice.“

“A cozy little Taiwanese joint in Harrison, NJ. I ordered the salt & pepper chicken bento — the fried chicken was super crispy and juicy, and the portion was bigger than expected. What really stood out was their homemade chili oil — rich, fragrant, and perfectly spicy. The side dishes were thoughtful and balanced, not just fillers. Great vibes, warm service, and a menu full of familiar flavors. I’ll be back.“
