“A hidden gem in Fi-Di that must be explored if you are interested in trying a new cuisine outside the usual NYC Italian, French or Japanese styles, why not go Austrian! The Schnitzel is calling, and it truly delicious being lightly breaded, pounded thin, and generous portions to enjoy dinner with. The salads were fresh and the cheese which came out as an appetizer was definetly very different, a mild brown cheese. The buttnernut squash was also delicious and the bread was drizzled nicely in oil. The ambience gets pretty tight, so prepare to be intimate if you are a party of two, or if you have a big party they have a long table where everyone can sit, very european. All together, a nice spot for dinner and I give it 4 stars.“

“This is a great spot for a date or special occasion. Dinner is Pre-Fix and the menu changes seasonally. The dining areas are very inviting. The staff was very detail oriented and just enough but not on top of you. Basically the service is impeccable. As for the food everything is timed great and everything we ate was awesome. I thought I might leave hungry initially but that was not the case. Must go to spot for a romantic dinner“

“To start, the food is absolutely delicious here. The unique Korean/French fusion had some interesting and tasty options. Will definitely go back to order things I didnt get to try. Unfortunately, it was evident that they were understaffed (maybe it was just this one night? Things happen). The person who sat us was also the server, food runner, and busser; with all these responsibilities, it was impossible to be as attentive as I know they could have been because they were very sweet and polite. Despite the service, I would still recommend coming here because the quality of food is outstanding.“

“I’m hesitant to even write a review because I consider this place a true hidden gem! With so many options in the area I find myself forgetting about Turtle & Wolf until after my recent visit it sprang to the top of my list!I went for a birthday celebration and my friends and I shared a bunch of dishes. Everything was so well executed, the portions were generous and we just had such a lovely evening. Cannot pass on this adorable BYOB.“

“Our Dinner club had a great time last evening. Food was delicious as expected, everyone enjoyed their dish. We received great service as well. The place had a modern vibe and lively ambience, perfect for a Friday night out. Thanks to James to work out a selective menu for us and ensure smooth service!“

“Still having dreams about my steak, the pataras bravas, and crispy golden brussel sprouts. Our waitress gave us a dismissive nod when we requested our steak cook preference - and I guess it didn't matter because it came out perfect. The space itself is small and intimate- perfect for any kind of gathering big or small.“

“A gem in the neighbourhood. A friend and I were visiting Jersey City from South Africa and NDP was just down the road from our B&B. We had the most wonderful dinner there, with James, the owner explaining how he and his wife started the little restaurant. The food was exceptional and we were able to order a bottle of wine from a winery close by, which was delivered in minutes. Absolutely worth a visit!“

“I came here for the first time a week ago for a friend's birthday and it was so good, I immediately made a reservation for a date night for the following week while still in the restaurant. The owner, who is lovely, charming and has a fun sense of humor, saw me seated at the table and waiting for my date to find parking. He came up to me and helped us find parking in a great spot. We very much appreciated the help. (note to self: leave yourself a little time to look before* your reservation lol)The servers there are knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to the patrons. We had the rigatoni special with pancetta and asparagus, short ribs (to die for) as well as the apple tart with ice cream and spiced chocolate mousse and everything was well seasoned, fresh and delicious. I look forward to returning and suggesting this restaurant to friends.“

“One of the best taco places In NJ right after you cross the Verrazano Bridge We were on our way back to VA, we were craving some authentic Mexican food and homemade guacamole which I love so much We didn't choose wrong. “A very cute place to have Sunday brunch! My first meal after the Jersey City marathon was right here! We weren't able to put in a reservation beforehand, but we were still able to get seated when we arrived close to noon. I had the sweet potato & andouille sausage hash withOUT the sausage. The server said he could add more brussels sprouts since someone else had requested the same before, and I agreed to it (though I wasn't too hungry and didn't care either way). My meal had a beautiful presentation. The eggs were perfectly poached and there was just enough hollandaise sauce. The brussels sprouts however just seemed undercooked flavor-wise and more could have been done to better their quality. Needless to say, I finished my plate except for the brussels sprouts. All-in-all, a great cafe in an excellent location of Jersey City---well worth the visit!“

“This was my very first time coming to Borelli's and I'm so glad I did, it features a wonderful staff, wonderful food and a warm & friendly owner who has 6 grandchildren! My lovely date and I sat at the bar and got the last two available stools; it's a cool, small U-shaped bar with a lot of friendly people that are regulars there and they helped us make wise menu selections as did the owner. We started out with Bluepoint oysters that were just splendid and progressed to Bareli's meatball dish, which is definitely a must if you go, a few lovely Chianti Classicos for me and Pinot Grigio for my date, we were happy as a lark, we'll back tonight to see Lonnie Youngblood perform which I couldn't believe, he's 87 years old and still gigging. Somebody buy this man a gold watch! We were also told that the Italian pork chop here is not mind blowing superb. Two. Thumbs up kiddos.“

“The steak burrito was the perfect mix of spicy, not too much rice, not too much cheese, and flavorful steak. The spicy noodle bowl is just that. On another level of spice! A tad much. The Thai curry wings were pretty flavorful but a little oily. Def want to try a few more things on the menu but now I know that when it says spicy, they mean business.“

“Never thought that there is a cool barn in town. My 1st impression was the woodenly rustic environment and decorations bringing the cozy vibe. Food and drinks were perfectly tasty. Our waiter that night was helpful and informative. This spot is voted for one of the most beautiful ones during the Christmas season. Can't wait to come back.“

“Came here for darts. Dart boards are in the back room which is great for the leagues. As each table is for a team. One server for the whole night which was great cause he came by very often. The food they served us wasn't bad at all. I haven't been to the restaurant side of it yet, but it seemed full for a Tuesday night for dinner.“

“Hidden gem in Bay Ridge. They have a delicious farm to table menu typically featuring seasonal items. The pastas are made fresh in house. Lots of options for the meat for their burgers. Great list of different desserts. It's run by a small team so please be patient if it takes a while. Highly recommend!“
“Visited this Function venue upon invitation from my daughter's in-laws to celebrate a birthday. I think it has at least 3 halls, with kitchens on site and full-staff service. the place is clean and sound-proofed. Loud music and celebratory echoes hardly reach outside.“
“The service during the dinner portion of our meal was very good. We had attentive servers who frequently checked in on us. Our table had two orders of the gaon and the premium set. The food was good but under-seasoned, especially the banchan. In terms of the drinks we enjoyed the cocktail of the day and the rosé. Once we were moved to the back (I assume because they needed our table for the next seating) we could not get the attention of a server. On 2-3 occasions I went up to the front desk to ask for a server, a menu, the check etc. The yuzu cheesecake dessert was okay. I was pleasantly surprised when the manager brought out a birthday dessert for me. The macaron on the birthday dessert platter was one of the best things I ate that evening.“

“Definitely a five star experience!!! We arrived just before happy hour ended (4-5:30) and they were kind enough to place a quick order of oysters!!! They were super fresh and delicious... favs were west coast (sorry NJ). Next, came the Parker rolls!!! Probably my favorite part of the meal, but then again, who doesn't like homemade, freshly baked rolls with buttered top and a touch of salt!!! Because everything looked so good, we opted for a bunch of other appys to start! The New Zealand angus beef bites were served with horseradish aioli and a Parker roll, the halloumi cheese was accompanied by orange slices, prosciutto, radicchio and dehydrated olives. The octopus was spectacular... crispy with romanesco sauce, fried chickpeas, cilantro and paprika breadcrumbs. Of course, we had to also try the OHS mussel pot... with chorizo, saffron, garlic cream, sun dried tomatoes... and an herbed garlic roll on top!!! LOVED THEM ALL! It's not often that so many different, but complimentary flavors are presented in each dish!!! We could have stopped our meals there and would have been pleasantly satisfied and full! Next, we chose a couple of the sirloin sandwiches with fries, and the squid ink pasta with Calabrian chili and Meyer lemon breadcrumbs!!! All was very good. The evening was finished with 3 of their delicious desserts... the lemon meringue tart was the perfect sweet with a pucker. The molten dark chocolate cake was decadent. And the trio of gelatos were each so uniquely flavorful and delicious! Wow!!! Given that 100 steps is a BYOB, it makes everything even more affordable! We had spectacular service in this beautiful restaurant with amazing food! It was quite a special evening!“

“This a 5 star review because it hit all of the check marks. You simply cannot get the same value you will get here anywhere else.Firstly, the staff is family, and very welcoming and accommodating. They Truly care about the restaurant, its legacy and there foodA very comfortable environment with 80's/90's country music playing and a homey feeling dining room. I felt like I went my cousins for dinner and coffee. Our waitress was one of the owners and helped me select some craft brews they offered. Very generous and appreciated. The Buffalo Wings are excellent. Cooked right and in a thinner sauce with a little zing but not overpowering. Our dinners were the Godfather Trio (Veal, Shrimp Parm and Eggplan Rollantini) and the 16oz Sizzling steak. The Italian Trio was a good portion and had a nice sauce, very filling and a very reasonable price. The Steak was better than some steakhouses and "higher-end" restaurants that like to charge $40-$60 for it.The steak was PERFECT! And for a price point under $30 is one of the best bargains you can find! Flavor was amazing and cooked expertly! We finished with coffee and the Chocolate Mousse Cake & Cheesecake. Well worth it and again; a price you can't beat.We even took home dinners for work the next day. It was that good. This is a Gem and a throw back to how things used to be and should be. Where your welcomed in and treated like a guest in a home and fed a wonderful meal.***Keep in mind - Cash Only But the have anATM on site. Not a big deal.Head in and enjoy. I'll definitely be back!!!“

“We tried a few items. To start we got the mushroom arancini which was really delicious and crunchy. There was a cheesy cream at the bottom of the bowl that was room temp but very delicious. We got the meatball which was amazing and the bread dipped in the sauce was so good. I was really excited to get the mussels but they were really unimpressive. Not so much flavor and not a lot of broth. The bread that came with it was great. We also got the charred Caesar salad. The dressing was really thick. Almost a hummus consistency and was on the bottom of the plate. The salad was very watery but still interesting. The table next to us got the arugula salad which was beautifully presented. For entrees we got the rigatoni which was missing something. It looked like an ideal pasta but was missing salt or spice. We also got the short rib which was highly recommended. Overall I would come back here to try some other items like the salads, sides and Mac and cheese. I'm taking off a star for the mussels. I'm also taking off a star because there was a really bad smell in the restaurant. It was a mix of seafood and sewage. I don't know if it was the bathroom and kitchen smells but either way it was foul. It was kind covered up at times by a slight fragrance but still disgusting.“

“This place is WONDERFUL. I came here with my son after spending the afternoon at Urban Air Adventure Park. We got two half box orders of boneless thighs (original crispy and soy garlic/sweet & spicy), fries, and water. The chicken took about 15-20 minutes to cook, but it was well worth the wait. My son (the pickiest eater in the world) LOVED the boneless thighs, and even the French fries. I thought everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The flavors were all fantastic, with the soy garlic being my favorite. The fries were also some of the best fries I've ever had. Super crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. The food also came with Cole slaw which was DELICIOUS, and I say this as someone who normally strays away from Cole slaw.Customer service was excellent. The woman at the front was very friendly and clear with describing the food. Their presentation was top notch also. The food was packaged beautifully and even the bag it came in was just really well designed. It was like opening a holiday gift of delicious food. I would highly recommend paying this place a visit, although you'll probably have to do take out since they have limited seating. That's probably the only downside I can think of, but they still deserve 5 stars overall“

“Amazing Irish spot. 1) The place is very cozy. It is a warm cozy spot on a rainy day. They also have couches, which is very nice. But, getting the couches is tough. There is always someone stilling there. Also, near some seats are changing stations, which is really nice if your phone charge is running low. 2) I will highly recommend the pasties, it is meat filled pastry with gravy. Unbelievable! 3) Their Shepard's Pie was great. But, ask for their gravy on the side. It makes the Shepard's pie go from a 7/10 to a solid 9/10“

“My partner and I love ordering from here. We live in the neighborhood and it’s so convenient to have a place like this we can walk to for something delicious at a great price. I don’t think you could go wrong ordering anything off their menu; their pizza is the perfect Jersey pizza, their burritos are huge and taste SO fresh, and their cheeseburgers are like In N Out but WAY better quality. They also have desserts and the chocolate cake I tried was great. Love Aileen’s “

“I adore this place. It is so cozy and modern. Great atmosphere. Great cocktails. Food is also really delicious. I would say it is a little pricey for Staten Island, but if counting delicious food and great service, it is not so bad. They only open for dinner and on Sunday for brunch. In the summer, they have a terrace open.. but i did not visit the terrace yet. I would definitely recommend visiting for dinner. Today, we had brunch here with my husband and we got a great service..food came out fast, salad was fresh and yammy. We got a complimentary sweet bread toasted with a tiny jelly jar..very nice touch. We also had a fried burata and two eggs Benedict. Everything and everyone was lovely. Definitely will be back.? “

I highly recommend the jackfruit croquettes and the sliders which I love that they have vegan options for someone like me. I'm not sure of the name it was a passionfruit cosmo type drink and I didn't even realize it came out with a dry ice bubble. 10/10 for presentation on everything and ambiance. “UPDATED 3/19/24 PM:The manager reached out and was fantastic about making this right. He said he’s investing time into improving their consistency and offered to buy me dinner to test their improvements later on. Give these guys a shot, they’re good people and do right by their customers.(2 stars) ORIGINAL 3/19/24 AM:I hate to do this but these guys just can’t get out of their own way. We order from here all the time - it’s convenient and generally has healthy options - but they cannot ever get it right. They are so inconsistent - I can’t remember the last time we didn’t have an issue with an order. Yesterday was my tipping point, they completely left out an item and my chicken came undercooked. I called numerous times to get a refund on those two items and was met with a “let me talk to my manager” with no follow up. Can’t get anything through their delivery app either.A few weeks ago we got two island bowls with undercooked hard rice. The food is good, they just aren’t consistent at all. We’d order every night from here if they could perform consistently.“
