Clean, well lit, open environment, offering plenty of seating and some fun selfie backgrounds.
The service was respectful and kind.
We ordered tacos (of course). Nick ordered the bulgogi tacos and I had a tofu taco and a bistec taco. Everything we had was exceptional. They also provide an amazing green salsa, but to be honest the tacos really don’t need it, they have so much flavor! We are so glad we gave this place a try and recommend you do too!“

“We had a great dinner tonight at Happy Vegans. We were greeted warmly and offered a taste of their special dish kofta, which is a delicious mix of spices, tomato and bulgur. I had the happy vegan burger which was huge with three patties made from kofka, lettuce tomatoes and a large serving of fries. We were given mayonnaise and ketchup to dip the fries in. Baklava for dessert. I highly recommend this charming restaurant. Easy street parking.“

“My first time going there and the food was good. I got the fried mushroom platter with wild rice, chickpeas and salad. I felt good eating the food. It wasn't greasy or had me feel like crap while eating it. I'm from Philly and was visiting Newark for the weekend, but when I come back, I will be going there again. #vegan #blackowned #italisvital“

“I’ve only ordered from here and the food has been good. I love their mac and cheese and their lentil sweet potato soup. Probably had a burger once and it was good — beyond burger, so you can’t really mess the up. The only thing I don’t like about this place is how OVERPRICED they are, especially with a lot of their portion sizes. I have to really be craving their mac and cheese to spend money here, but it definitely isn’t one of those go-to vegan spots in my opinion, unless you’re okay with constantly spending the money. But yeah very unreasonable prices for a lot of basic stuff.“

The box office team was incredibly friendly and helpful—from the call center to the castle—and made sure our large party was accommodated and seated together, which we really appreciated. Our server Michael was outstanding and went above and beyond to make my birthday special with a shout-out and dessert. The food was delicious! “I love coming to Tandoori Chef for dinner. The restaurant has 4 booth-like tables and has excellent service as well as a nice expansive menu with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. This authentic Indian restaurant has a very friendly staff that is accommodating when asked for recommendations or extra pitas or sauce. \n\nAlso a great take-out restaurant with food ready in 20 minutes or less. Plenty of parking in Maplewood Village.“

“This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Jersey City (and believe me, there are many). The staff is so lovely, the food is fresh and delicious and reasonably priced for the quality, the drinks are fun. I've brought babies, worked here, stopped by with my dog for takeout, and sat outside, and all experiences have been great. Highly recommend Hybrid!“

“We had a great experience at The Regular while in town for the marathon. The food was amazing and I can’t say enough about the friendly staff, they were all attentive and a big shout out to the barista in the front…she greeted everyone with a smile and was so pleasant going above and beyond to make everyone that walked in the door feel like so welcomed.“

“Few places are as accommodating as the staff here. The menu, although on available digitally, is extensive. Large selection of GF (gluten free) items. You can start with apps, choose from pizza or pasta as an entree. It is BYOB and that can make for a fun evening. They will accommodate to suit taste, we had someone that was sensitive to sodium, they adjusted sted the entree to suit. The place is small, the food tasty and seriously, the service is over the top.“

“This place is excellent. I bought my friend from Japan with his family and was happy to take them to Cornbread for some authentic soul food. Needless to say my friend and his family loved the experience. They were finishing a road trip throughout the US and they thought the food at Cornbread was some of the best they had in their month long journery. The turkey wings were particularly good and I'm saying this as a person who is mostly vegetarian. Service was also excellent with attentive help and the servers were conversational and friendly with my friends and I. Bathrooms were also very clean. I wholeheartedly recommend Cornbread Montclair as a solid business and a great place for delicious Soul Food.“

“A cozy little Taiwanese joint in Harrison, NJ. I ordered the salt & pepper chicken bento — the fried chicken was super crispy and juicy, and the portion was bigger than expected. What really stood out was their homemade chili oil — rich, fragrant, and perfectly spicy. The side dishes were thoughtful and balanced, not just fillers. Great vibes, warm service, and a menu full of familiar flavors. I’ll be back.“
