“CASH ONLY.
For the price, this is an excellent rice roll that is SUPER QUICK. No more waiting 40 minutes at any other location. The ladies working here will get your order in 3-5 minutes flat.
I highly recommend the egg rice roll and add scallions. They also keep sauces outside that are all delicious: hoisin, peanut sauce, soy sauce, and sriracha. I personally just added all 4 and it was delicious.
This is really great for the price and might now be my go to spot when I need this.“

“I came here with a foodie friend for dinner. We both really enjoyed the food, the service was excellent and friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant definitely took me back to Hong Kong - like I was in a new concept restaurant in the famous area of LKF.
Highlights / Our favorite dishes:
- Black Pepper Steak: the sauce was delicious and it came with broccoli rabe, which is a surprising and enjoyable twist (instead of Chinese broccoli). Love that.
- Crunchy Vegetable Fried rice: yes it stayed crispy and crunchy throughout our entire meal and with all our talking. The fried rice was flavorful and not oily. This is the best vegetarian fried rice I've had in NYC.
- H French Toast: This was a perfect dessert ending to our meal. Good for sharing. It is slightly different from traditional Hong Kong french toast which is completely deep fried. This one from Cha Cha Tang is fried crispy on the outside, therefore not as heavy (thankfully since we ate so much for dinner). And I love the ube cream inside!!
Highly recommend!!“

“Food was good. Sweet and sour chicken: chicken was cooked well and seemed like better quality than other places. Sauce flavor was not amazing. Everything else was pretty good and authentic Hong Kong dim sum. Staff look professional and you can tell they work hard. I have to be back on the weekend to try the baked pork buns! “

“I’d be happy to upload a picture before eating everything, but I forgot this time! I’m usually pretty frugal and try to cook at home, but I never regret coming here to enjoy this amazing food. It’s so good and delicious—hard to find anything like it anywhere in the vast city of NYC. Food made with love. I’m always happy to come back! Thank you!“

“Perfect place for a top notch meal! Wonderful service too! Our waiter was very informative and taught us about the various items on the menu we had questions about. Highlights were duck, Peking style, mushroom dumplings, shrimp rice noodle rolls, and the rabbit coconut pudding. Note: no rabbits were harmed in the making of the dessert!“

“Fun casual spot to grab a bite before heading to a Nets or Liberty game! The chicken was my favorite! It was so flavorful and the spicy level was perfect for me. It was just enough to kick but not overwhelming the flavour. The sides are fantastic too.“

““Wow, finally some real Cantonese food in Manhattan! As a Chinese person, I have to say, it’s rare to find a place that feels so much like home. The fried vegetables were incredibly fresh and cooked just right. If you love authentic Chinese flavors, you’ll want to try this place out!” The dessert also delicious!!!!!“

“An upscale Cantonese restaurant that delivers on both flavor and presentation, though with prices to match. The interior is sleek and modern, a perfect spot for special occasions. We were super impressed by the flavor of every dish: the salt-baked chicken was incredibly tender and flavorful, the hot stone mushroom rice had rich umami notes and a delightful crispiness, and the scallion oil steamed fish was simple yet well executed with mostly deboned filets, the snow pea tips was hearty with chanterelle mushrooms added on top, and the braised abalone and pork was rich and decadent.
Every dish hit the mark, and the service was attentive and thoughtful throughout the meal. Overall, it’s a great spot for splurging on a special occasion or for a premium Cantonese dining experience.“

“If you need to read reviews to decide to go to Congee Village, the order is wrong.. your family or friends should have brought you there before. No one visits Congee Village alone. It's just not the kind of place you go along. The food is tasty no doubt, and is so good you want to share with others, especially those you love and laugh together.“

“Got the brand sampler. A meal for $19.60.
Here’s what I thought of each item
Har gow / shrimp siu mai - 3/5, hard to get wrong, just didn’t love it, even with the soy sauce.
Chicken siu mai - 5/5, was my favorite
Sticky rice wrap - 1/5, mushroom and sticky rice was not my favorite
BBQ pork bun - 1/5, wasn’t my thing
Crispy shrimp roll - 4/5, pretty good“

“Cheap take out
And the food taste pretty good but very salty tho.
I like their broccoli beef or broccoli chicken.
Their fried chicken wings good too.
Crispy outside, very juicy inside.
And they got lunch special special around $6-8 with a drink.
Not bad at all!“

“I’m from China and had been long craving authentic good quality Chinese food. When I was in NYC this summer with my parents and boyfriend, we went to try this place out, and that was one of the best meal I had in my life! We tried Beijing duck and skewers as well as some vegetable dishes, everything was so delicious, nicely put together, and other items on the menu also looked authentic and delicious. Will visit this restaurant every time I come to NYC.“

“5 stars for the service they were very accommodating. 4 and half stars for the food. I had the club sandwich i wish it had a little more bacon but still good. We also had stirfried ramen noodles for the kids and they enjoyed it. I will come back again to try their rice dishes or casseroles.“

“Came here for a late lunch along with my infant son. Left impressed with the food and the value of their lunch portions. The salt and pepper pork and fish casserole dish were my favorites here. The staff were accommodating and took time from their own lunch break to serve us. The only downside is that this place is quite far from where I live.“
“Our favorite restaurant in UWS. The service is great. We 💗 the food with a friendly ambiance. The restaurant is clean and goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience.“

“Casual vegan spot owned by a mom and pop. With daily lunch specials and a full menu of food choices, every time I come, it's like I'm finding something new to try. Dim sum, dumplings and seitan skewers are highlights. My favorite dishes are the full entrees such as vegan duck, Vegan black sesame beef and any stir fry with baby bok choy. The flavors, cooking methods and sauces are familiar -- like a Cantonese restaurant. Must try the pumpkin soup!“

“Came here for dinner around 6 pm and had a seat pretty quickly, but at 7 pm, there was a line, so it was best to come here early. The food we ordered was tasty, but the fried fish was incredibly salty. The waiters were a bit on the rude side, but it's nothing that I'm not used to in a Chinese restaurant.Overall, it's not bad, and food is good. Great place with family or a big group of people.
Parking: Parking is tough here since it's on the main road. You can get lucky or drive into a residential street and find parking there. Better chance.“

“This place has great tasting Cantonese style Chinese food. Every we've ordered has been perfectly seasoned with lots of flavor yet not overly salty. We've had the salt & pepper pork chops, chicken & eggplant with salted dried fish, fried tofu, roast garlic chicken, beef and broccoli, clams with black bean sauce, and beef chow fun.“

“You cannot come here and expect Michelin style service. This is a old school local restaurant in Chinatown and is a good spot for a quick lunch or affordable dinner. I am a millennial but I frequent this restaurant because it is important to me to keep these local restaurants open for the benefit of the community. Their lunch specials are $8.50 everyday and there is a huge selection of dishes you can choose from. You can get walnut shrimp for dinner for around $20 whereas every other restaurant in the neighborhood charges $30 now.“

“Love the place, it’s cozy. Food is great. Cocktails are nice. According to food portion, recommending party of 4 to get a decent portion to share for each and able to get variety of food on the menu to try. Peking duck, soft shell crab (on special menu) and shrimp dumpling are my favorites.“

“We entered this small place, and the waitresses were very efficient, in contrast to the typical Italian calm. The wait was short and the food was very good, I personally took the noodles with chicken and I highly recommend them. The price is not high, even though we are in Times Square (€15-20), the portions are generous and a €15 dish filled me up. I would stay here again“

“THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE I' VE EVER HAD IN NEW YORK. FIRST,we are in line to wait for a table. A couple left and a 50 year old like woman waitress asked us to sit. But then, we were told by another young waitress to leave the table cuz the table should be for another couple. Ok we gave the seats to them. But I heard that old waitress said we lied to her that we were the next customer for seats. I was angry. Then we got the seats after we were called. Unfortunately we got the seats but we sat right next to that couple. That man kept noticing us and murmuring to the woman. They kept verbally abusing us with all bad words. I felt uncomfortable. I could hear that old lady waitress said sth bad about us to the young waitress. After they left, we ready to check out. The young waitress had ignored us like two times amd even she put her back facing to us and just pretended not to hear anything. I was like#%^*+-/^*+=[{{%^}*{+!!!! Finally that waitress came over with fake smile after I said I would not go there anymore. I gave them tips and they kept saying thank you and I just ignored them. My announcement: I definitely won't step in there any more in my life!!! The service is THE WORST and MEAN, that old lady waitress kept making people around misunderstood us and jut did not admit her fault. This person is not Honest and just pushed responsibility on other innocent customers which made us felt bad and sad!!! So frustrated as being same as Chinese, they behaved in this such a way!!! We order some food and they just tasted not as good as we expected. Just normal food which you can definitely get something better somewhere else!!! WILL DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR A GOOD MOOD YO EAT!!! IT WILL RUIN YOUR DAY!!! ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDING "LIKE CAFE" with the worst service I've ever received in my life!!!!“

“Went there with a group of 6 that included 2 toddlers and newborn. Table was more than spacious enough for us.
Food was fantastic. Duck bao was flavorful. Mushroom yee mein was also flavorful and a fantastic chewy bounce. The Walnut shrimp was seasoned differently than I’ve had at other locations, making it unique. Shrimp were massive. Beers were refreshing. Will be returning soon!
Kid-friendliness: Table was big enough to fit our children, stroller and 3 adults. More than enough space. It was also during the week. The restaurant was not overwhelmingly busy.“
