“I grew up in NYC so I’m no stranger to halal carts. Since I’ve moved to JC (which I know is only across the river, but the food scene really is different), I have yet to find my go-to halal spot… until now! I paid $10 for a chicken over rice. The chicken was so juicy and they were very generous with the chicken and sauce. So delicious but also so dangerous that I’m so close by“

“I ordered takeout from Kulchay recently and had a positive experience. The woman working there was incredibly friendly and helpful while I waited. I tried their signature naanizza which is a fusion of naan and pizza. Both the chicken tikka and super supreme naanizzas were delicious. Even though I got stuck in traffic and had to reheat them at home, they still tasted great although I imagine they would be even better fresh out of the oven. I also tried the halwa naan for dessert which was decent but not something I would order again. All the food here is halal and I definitely plan to come back to try more items from their menu.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​“

“Westside Shawarma is back with a vengeance. Never have I seen so much demand for a small food spot. Literal posts on the internet asking about this place. I was excited to see the G.O.A.T return, and more so with a proper shop. I got so excited, I ordered two chicken platters and only managed to finish one. Warmed it up two days later and it tasted just as good as when I got it. Great to have you guys back!“

“The food was INSANELY good! We had the Narkel Doodhe murgi and the Chingri Dopiaza. The chicken was flavourful but not too spicy - and our favorite.

They were also kind enough to throw in a complimentary potato bhortha which paired perfectly with the rice and curries! It’ll absolutely be a staple in my future orders.

We also got the mango lassi, which was not your typical lassi (it’s thinner and less sweet), so it might be a hit or a miss for some. I loved it!

I wouldn’t change a thing about anything we ate. Looking forward to our next meal from Korai kitchen (fingers crossed for snagging a Dawat reservation!)“

“Arguably a top 2 halal option in the Jersey City area, you can swap it from 1st or 2nd. They changed the lamb seasoning a few months ago, i did not like that but I ordered today and the lamb taste like how it originally did. 6 stars is i could give it that“

The bread was fresh, the meat was perfectly seasoned, and the sauces added amazing flavor. It was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in Jersey City. The staff was friendly and the service was quick.

“About 4 years ago, zeze cool truck used to park right next to the beacon buildings on Clifton pl. I used to live there at that time and made friends with the owner, I'm usually not a fan of middle eastern truck food but at that time, the food she made tasted homemade and it was delicious. My husband and I used to order from her all the time and she was so generous with her servings. I moved to a different state not long after but i still remember her and her food, great food and great human being.“

“I got a falafel hummus platter with tea and cookies later , the food was fresh the falafel was delicious just like a middle eastern food , pita bread with hummus too, I have to try their meat dishes too because it’s halal and made fresh in the morning“
