“I absolutely love this place. I have a very bad case of long covid since October 2021 where almost everything smells and tastes rotten or sickly sweet. I am able to eat the hot pot miso ramen soup with a lot of different vegetables, and I can have the chocolate cake/cupcakes. So delicious! I can also eat the white rice and the grilled pineapples. Before finding out that I can have all of this, I was losing a massive amount of weight, thank God for the few things that I can have here, I’m able to maintain my weight now. I just tend to go a bit crazy with what I can eat because I’m so hungry from not really eating the other days. The workers are amazing. The manager, Justin is really nice and very funny. The owner Darin is also very nice. Love the atmosphere and the music, I still can’t eat the other things and the smells from the other foods still bother me but I deal with it just so I can eat what I’m actually enjoying there. Thanks kpot for being the first restaurant where I’m actually eating some things that I can enjoy. Highly recommend this place, especially this location. Twenty stars“

“One of my favorite hotpot places in NYC! One of my criteria for judging a hotpot place is their fish fillet. Some other places have fish fillet that’s super fishy, but this place has super tender and fresh fish. The prices and service were great!“

“Unique Korean eating experience. Buffet style restaurant where you also cook your meats and vegetables on the burners at your table. I did not like the food because I'm not much of a meat eater but the customer service was very good. This style of eating is for the more adventurous eater and is not for everyone.“

“My partner and I had lunch at this place today. The restaurant bit itself was a tad scruffy, but we didn't mind it. The food took a while to come out, but as it was made fresh we didn't mind waiting. The food was delicious and fresh. “My friend recommended this place, but after reading so many bad reviews, i was skeptical. Somehow, some reviews looked fake, so I decided to come with my friends anyway. We came for lunch, and we were pretty impressed with the seafood selection. Most of them are very good and fresh. They gave us a small fresh lobster for the table and abalone per person. The shrimps were alive, but they said no more after 2 orders, which was hard to believe. But I got it, it's expensive. The drinks are included and as well as the desserts. The service was good. The waitress was very nice. We had a great time and will definitely come back again.“

“Love love the spot, and for $30 to $40, all you can eat family style Korean dining experience it's great.They do gwt pretty busy, so beware. You can't make reservations in anticipation. Kids do pay a reduced price since its family style dining & they also give you cool birthday perks. Go with an appetite so you can really enjoy everything, and the best part is the sauce bar in the back as you can nix up your own sauces to liking. Great data night , family or friend outting.“

“First time coming here for Palm Sunday dinner only 3 of us foods excellent and service was awesome and friendly. Waitress explain to us on the menu and clean our plate very often and add water to our hot pot when not enough water in it very often. I would recommend to my friends and family whoever likes to eat seafoods and desserts. You will be extremely full walking out the door after dinner worth the price.“

“I am a frequent solo hotpot diner, and while I have found that many places (understandably) seem less than thrilled by a table of one, Lan Ting Hotpot is always extremely accommodating and provides fantastic service regardless. Generally, I don't put a huge amount of stock in to how the service is at a given place, but with hotpot it is vital to have attentive servers. Lan Ting certainly excels in this capacity, as well as having a very solid selection of ingredients, a complete sauce bar, and a quite flavorful spicy mala soup base. Although I am not an expert, I believe the meat here to be high quality. Both the beef and lamb are very tender and the soup base flavors it adequately enough that I often forget to even use my sauce some of the time. The beer is cold, the prices are good, and the people are friendly and attentive. Although there's other hot pot places I would rank higher in certain categories, this is my favorite overall pick and I regularly travel over an hour to eat here. Highly recommended.“
