“My wife and I stumbled onto this location one day when passing through Queens. She just wanted to grab a quick cup of coffee, but what we got was so much better than expected. We had a “flat white” which was amazing high-quality coffee. And a piece of homemade baklava. I have to say this was hands-down, The absolute BEST baklava I’ve ever had in my life and if you’re a fan of this dessert, you absolutely need to go try it for yourself. I myself, have grown-up eating plenty of baklava. In my hometown, we have one of the highest Middle Eastern populations in the country so we have plenty of great baklava but I’ve still never had it this good. It was Perfect!✨ A large quantity, but not too filling, well-defined layers, very light & flaky but still moist, and just the right amount of nuts. when you bite into it, no part of the dessert gets lost or covered up. You can taste every element standing out with prominent flavor; from the freshness of the walnuts to the sweetness of the syrup and quality of the dough. After talking to the owner for a while, she explained to us how she bakes everything herself and how she refuses to buy her desserts from bakeries or skimp out on quality even if it makes her job easier. Let me tell you, it shows! I highly respect the integrity she brings to her baking and her café. She also gave us some cookies that were amazing as well.

Now let me tell you a bit about the owners of this establishment. They’re a dedicated hard working family from Montenegro and were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met in my travels. They were VERY kind warmhearted people who opened their business up to us as if it was their home and we were long time friends, stopping by for a visit. It was honestly surreal how comfortable they made us feel. We spoke for over an hour and enjoyed their beautifully designed and well kept Café/Bar. Whenever I go to a new location, I really pay close attention to how much the owners care about their business and the customers they serve. It is by far the most important criteria. With these owners, you can tell they really put their all into the business and it is truly a family affair. I loved how the husband and wife were both there working together and even their daughter pitches in. The daughter even drew this amazing Halloween picture on the board by the entrance and you can tell how proud her parents are of her skills. I truly admire the love and attention this family puts into their business, and I can confidently say they’re the American dream in action!🇺🇸 Please go pay these guys a visit I promise you won’t be disappointed. I know for us, It will be worth it to make the trip from New Jersey to visit again soon.“

The Maiko Special is always one of my favorites to order and share with a friend, but this month's specials were black sesame which I knew I had to try as well! I ordered the black sesame soft serve and my friend ordered the black sesame latte, and both were incredible! I'm a huge fan of black sesame flavored desserts, and these really hit the spot.

Also loved how the shop was decorated beautifully for Halloween! Amazing quality desserts, service, and vibes. I also appreciate how this location has a few benches outside, so when I visit with friends, we're able to sit together right outside the shop and enjoy our desserts. “I went into the Fantastic Foods store in Norwood, NJ for the first time and was amazed at the international food sections, as well as the cooking classes they offer. The owner proudly introduced me to the products. Before I left, as I was at the register paying for the things that I had purchased, the owner asked me if I’d like to try the pecan pie. She noticed that I was cooking tempting it. It looked so incredible I wondered if it tasted as good as it looked. When I tried a piece, I was astounded at how delicious it was! I’ve never tasted anything quite like it! I’ve never had pecan pie, but this must’ve been a cut above the rest. The cinnamon flavor was divine, and I immediately ordered a piece for myself to go. When I got into my car, I couldn’t wait! I immediately devoured my delicious pecan pie. My father used to say it was his favorite but I bet he never had anything this good!! I wish he was around so I could share it with him but it made me happy to know that I now can share his joy! I immediately texted my friends to tell them about my experience! The owner tells me that they also serve crêpes. I can’t imagine how amazing they must be. “I'm a Long Islander, I been lucky to have some amazing coffee places all over the states. But ironically I did not try their coffee nor did I give their lattes a try, I felt they were kind of small for the price and just a typical NYC thing, but let me just say it is probably worth it quality wise. The Croffles are AWESOME! I had a Tiramisu and Earl Grey one. Earl Grey cakes and flavors are making their way more onto menus and I am all for it! The early grey croffle was so good, and don't let the small size fool you, that thing filled me up. It is literally "something sweet" it was very sweet but so tasty. Tiramisu was really good too, I just felt it was nothing insane but it was tasty on the croffle. Maybe because also it had nothing to balance it with a bitter taste, Tiramisu lady fingers gives it that espresso taste, it did have some espresso beans and powdering on it but not strong enough for my taste. They also had matcha tiramisu they sell and have some cool pre-made stuff, a tasty Korean inspire one looked so good!

I love speciality coffee, but I have to give it to these places, they are smart to go into baking, this was so tasty and gave me a wake me up with it's natural tea and tiramisu did have a that espresso vibe.
Also shoutout to the workers, very friendly, super funny, not too casual friendly, professional and just very kind people. NYC is a fast place, especially around 55th it can feel like everything is moving quick, even a bit lonely the city that is so big, it was nice to just have a chill chat and meet someone nice and the workers were down to earth! I'm a bit of a fisherman hillbilly and NYC is too much for me when visiting to see family, but places like these keep me going!

“The egg toasts were delectable! Actually so happy my sister and I chose to come by. It has a tiny kick of spice which was a pleasant surprise. My sister got the vanilla flat white coffee and she loved it and finished it so quickly. The only thing I wasn't over the
moon for was the corndog. I got the mozarella hot dog corn dog and it was okay. I wouldn't get it again.

The space is small but offers some seating indoors and outdoors. I will definitely try to come again for the egg toast specifically.“

“What a delightful little breakfast/brunch place!!! We went here straight from the airport on our way into town, luggage and all, and it was perfect! We sat in the little outside area with the fans because the A/C was broken inside. My mom ordered the Grey Dog’s Breakfast with her eggs scrambled, French toast, and bacon, and it’s served with home fries. I ordered the egg and cheese croissant minus the parsley (not my fave) and added bacon. I’m picky about my home fries, so the server offered me french fries instead. We had exactly zero complaints about our meal. The portions are big, the eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly, and the French toast had this sweet butter with it that I can’t even compare to anything because it was so unique and delicious. The home fries ended up being DELICIOUS. The French fries were also good. I enjoyed the seasoning on them as well. I’m not a big fan of the thing shoe string fries, but these were good! The three employees we encountered were all very friendly and I would be more than happy to eat here again any time.“
