“My wife and I have been here 3 times now and each time it’s been great. Well run, friendly staff and the food, from appetizers to desert, were beyond what we expected when we stumbled into this place. Unassuming location for food this good.“

“Came here this weekend. I think this really should be a 3.5, but I'm rounding up.Chef Vola's suffers from one thing: being way over hyped. We went with friends so I didn't deal with the reservation part: I can't speak to that. But it's hard to get in to which feeds into the hype of best Italian in AC. I don't agree.Atmosphere is dark and moody in a good way. Except the bathroom, which is legitimately in their kitchen. That was incredibly off-putting.My biggest issue here is the food and the price. I got Milanese, arguably one of the cheapest entrees on the menu. It was humongous, true, for nearly 35 dollars but nothing I'd rave about after leaving. I didn't eat almost half of it and wasn't mad about it. A side of broccoli rabe, while delicious, was $14. My husband got a good, but again not marvelous, crab cake and shrimp for almost $60. Everything is ala carte and the plates of pasta who came with our friends meals looked messy. Everything looked over sauced.Overall, our large table came out to nearly $1,000, which doesn't include alcohol (it's byo): that cost I think you NEED to be a meal I'd rave about again and again: and honestly I just won't.“

“Loved this authentic Italian. The portion sizes are huge. We split a pizza and pasta dish between the three of us and still has left overs. The two workers that night were like a comedy double act with non stop banter between them. One of the best pizzas I have ever had and as previously stated huge portion size.I started with the Italian wedding soup and it was phenomenal.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome they don't get any things to do, however they are welcome.“

“I just had their pep. pizza for first time and it was the best pizza I've ever had! Seriously! I've been all over the country and Italy 4 times and nothing tops Roma's. Too bad it's not open year round. Can't wait until April!!“

“This Italian restaurant is in Northfield, NJ next to Pinky's nail salon. It's one of the restaurants I order from regularly on doordash because they are always consistent & their fresh homemade gnocchi is one of my favorites!! I always get it with the Chicken Vodka Burrata & that spicy vodka sauce makes me want to lick the plate clean! The breaded chicken is always perfectly done & I crave this dish on the regular. If you're dining in, this is a cozy, casual & alcohol free restaurant that doesn't allow outside beverages & has an extra fee for paying with a credit card. I do agree that everything is an up charge here, & nothing is included with their entrees. A regular bottle of water is $2 & a side salad is $6.50, but you do get a piece of bread lol. They'll try to sell you on their antioxidant juices that have no added sugar, but I always pass. Other than that, service has always been good & friendly. You can tell this is a mom & pop restaurant so I'm happy to support them and don't mind the additional fees on doordash when I'm too lazy to go in.“

“We have ordered from romans a number of times. never disappoints. the food is always better than the last time. the grandma style pizza is a delight to the taste buds, its just incredible a pizza, its very fresh tasting. the garlic knots are marvelous. they taste perfectly done, another one of our favs. The wraps are perfect, and we would say most people would like romans pizza house. the service is good, regardless of the reviews. the atmosphere is not the best, its kind of squished, and if their is a lot a people in the restaurant, it can get congested. better of going home and eating. overall, this place is a great option if you are in the area:)“

“Hands down best French onion soup in Atlantic County. I'm a long time customer and this is my neighborhood bar. The drinks are cold. The bartenders are feisty. There's not a bad meal on the menu. The hardest part about going is deciding what to eat, because it's all great!“

“Great experience from start to finish! We had the most amazing view of the ocean. The service was top notch and the food was incredible! I would definitely put this restaurant on your list as a must try!! The only problem we had was deciding what dishes we wanted to try. The menu has so many traditional Italian favorites but table next to us ordered the steak. It looks so delicious. I am coming back next time to give that a try.“

“Food was delicious. Appetizer: Thai triple delight , fried jumbo shrimp and crab cakes were large portions and all excellent. Server: Kimberly was a pleasure to have taking care of us. Famous Pizza bread was huge and tasty. Had alot to take home. We had an overall pleasant indoor dining experience. Sat in comfy side room in large booth ,,much less noisy away from the bar crowd loud talkers. On a negative note …Suggestion: just outdoor upon leaving back entrance of restaurant we encountered 6 smokers puffing away as we were blocked from walking around them and had to inhale an unwanted cloud of secondhand smoke. Not something we appreciated after a fine dinner.Didn’t see any signage of outdoor designated smoking area that would have helped in this area of concern.“

“First time coming across this gem. Came in as they were closing, grabbed a slice of cheesecake & cannoli. Both were phenomenal!!! As may girlfriend and I were outside eating our desserts, the man (I’m assuming the owner, I didn’t catch his name)was closing up shop and gave us a loaf of seeded bread, which was also terrific.. What a wonderful gesture. I can’t wait to go back the next time I’m in OC, they’ve gained a customer for life.“

“One of the best "random restaurant while traveling" experiences I've ever had in my life. Food was absolutely top notch. Our server (Tyler) was patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. Portions were plentiful, atmosphere was casual but spotlessly clean. And surprisingly inexpensive. Wholeheartedly recommend.“

“I'm afraid to leave a review because this spot already is so acclaimed. I've been trying to get a reservation for some time and was finally able to get one so here we were. This restaurant is always listed as the best in AC and a top restaurant in the state. I usually worry that places don't live up to the hype. We hear they truly delivered and everything was better than my expectations. If you eat hear you have to do the tableside experience other wise why are you here??? Every dish was fantastic. The tableside mozzarella was a table favorite The Caesars salad was tableside and great. My personal favorite was the Cavatelli. I can't stop raving about it. Was truly the best I have ever had and this is a must get in my book of you go here. The chicken parm was great and so was the halibut We will return I know this review will add to making it more difficult to get in here but it's well deserved Truly one of my favorite places to eat now“

“The only regret I have when talking about Golden Pyramid is not discovering its Egyptian, Italian, and Mediterranean blend of heaven sooner. The cuisine breathes the experience of a chef who's honed his expertise over decades and pours his heart into every meal. Chef Mohammed cooks with a masterful attention to the finest detail; every dinner here is made to order.Tonight I started with his Greek lemon chicken soup. There's no question the powerful lemon zest asserts itself as the star of this soupy show. It's bolstered by a cast of appetizing ingredients that play a passive yet impactful role. It's lightness leaves room in your stomach for delights to come without broaching a feeling of levity. Every bite offers a new perspective in taste, its flavors taunt you to find them.I followed with the chicken curry as my entrée, selecting garlic mashed potaotes and saffron rice as sides. The garlic mashed potatoes are wonderful. They inspire a sense of nostalgic familiarity without being offensive in their originality. The handmade smoothness complements an intentional amount of texture so as not to become machined mush. As with all of Chef Muhammeds cusine, I find it difficult to stop myself from hastily devouring what's before me. Not doing so would prevent me from appreciating the lifetime of complexity he's created.Likewise, the saffron rice demands to be savored with patience. Those who dont risk missing the subtle entirety of an artisinally crafted spice blend. It pairs incredibly well with his sweet chicken curry, an entrée largely, regretfully unfamiliar to the American pallet.Chef Mohammeds culinary brilliance is on full display here. The natural heat that often accompanies curry is assuaged by the addition of coconut and raisens. It's not fully absent though. He's designed a dish that dances an ever so slight tinge of heat, perfectly moist tender chicken breast, and creamy sweetness into a flavorful ballet.I find it easy to describe every entrée here in similar light, they all embrace a unique gourmet vision. Golden Pyramid is both a treasure waiting to be discovered and one to be cherished by those who already have. Cindy and Chef Mohammed work tirelessly to provide Mays Landing with a local, authentic dining experience and it's a better place for it.“

“my partner and I visited last week, in the hopes of having a nice last minute dinner while we were in town. we wanted something special but local, and this was the perfect choice!right off the bat I was optimistic about having a good meal, as the service was very personable, and the decor/music was just right. that was definitely a relief since it seemed like a slow night and that can sometimes be awkward.our orders were spectacular! we enjoyed literally every crumb off the dish. the artichoke was as good as mentioned in other reviews, despite that not always being a favorite of mine. I loved the crab balls too which were such a beautiful balance of rich and savory but not too heavy. and of course, the milanese I got as a main was magnificent - cutlet perfectly prepared, and the flavors all so bright and delicious. and a nice change from the red sauce I usually order at italian joints.all in all, I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place, and I hope to get the chance to revisit soon!“

“It’s hard to find a good pizza place, because everyone is making pizza now a days. So when I found Carluccio’s. It has changed how I like my pizza.Hands down one of the BEST locations to get pizza. I’ve always came here for their Specialty Pizza and I’ve tired them all and they are really really good.Couple of days ago, I arrived like 5 mins before they will close and their kitchen staff went above and beyond to make me a fresh pizza. Now that’s exceptional customer service. This is made me their loyal customer. No many business will do that. But Carluccio’s is one of a kind.“

“Fantastic restaurant! 4 friends and I were in OCNJ for a girls weekend. After looking at Yelp, we decided to try Joe's. Best choice that we made over the weekend. This restaurant is family owned and operated. Our waitress, Georgia, is Joe's daughter. She was so warm and hospitable. The entire staff is family! Now for the food! Chicken Parm was outstanding. I consider myself a chicken parm snob!. This was the best that I have ever eaten!! Chicken was flavorable and so tender. For pasta, I chose capellini, it was delicious. I also chose the homemade chicken pastina soup. It was excellent. They also put a basket of warm bread on the table, so good Friends were equally impressed. They chose veal parmigiana , spaghetti, turkey melt on ciabatta and chicken sorrento. All loved their meals. We were so full that we couldn't even think about dessert“

“It was good, not great. The bread was low quality, but warm at least. The calamari appetizer was rubbery and bland. My entree, the scampi tequila was outstanding. The sauce was very tasty and the shrimps were huge and cooked and seasoned perfectly.Service was outstanding. Friendly, attentive, and polite. It's a small place, and I loved the atmosphere. Noisy, but in a good way. Not stuffy.Prices were fair. It's local and I will definitely try again, but the details in the some of the dishes stopped it from being great this time.“

“Supremely tasty food and very friendly staff! We had the Masala Fries, which were perfectly crisp and tossed with a flavorful blend of spices. The Chilli Chicken was served in a tangy, spicy, and slightly sweet sauce brimming with soy and fresh ginger. We also ordered Kheemo, a shredded egg dish served with rounds of toast on the side, and it was just as tasty as the other two. We’ll definitely be returning soon!“

“It was very nice visit, server was very good! We sat at high tables in the bar area, The Ossobuco was delicious as was the grilled Mahi special. Steam clams appetizer was really good! Only disappointment was ceaser salad bottled dressing if I knew would of gotten blue cheese. Next time. Also got very loud party in a banquet room ended and the whole at least 100 people all crowded into the bar area, got very loud! Couldn't here D J anymore.“

“Yeah, in March but Palm Sunday and there was a long line even before opening. That says it all. I have been eating their pizza much longer than I will admit. The greatest thing is it has not changed in all those years and that is what makes Manco & Manco a must anytime you are on the boardwalk. Truth be told, I have eaten there sometimes for lunch and dinner in the same day.“

“First time at this place tonight, I've been all over for pizza but this place here tops them all! I've learned they also have a place on the boardwalk AC which was rated number 1 out of 6 places that were tested! I'll never go anywhere else again, this was just a quick stop on the way home from work.... I found a pizza gold mine. Also it's not just the pizza, it's family owned & the owner I met tonight is one hell of a guy. Can't give this place enough credit. Class A Class A“

“So many visitors to Atlantic City come to this block to visit White House Subs and miss out on the actual best landmark on the block that is Formica Bros Bakery right across the street. The bakery that creates the bread which is the real star of those famous sandwiches. Everything i have ever gotten from this tiny cafe and bakery is outstanding including the bread, pastries and baked goods and chocolate covered delights as well as their cannolis and tomato pie slices. The tomato pie actually deserves its own sentence to acknowledge how great it is; the bread and crust have a great crunch consistency and chew in all the right places and the sauce is exceptionally well balanced no too sweet and not too tart. just right and rivals any u will find in Philly or South Jersey. I also enjoy and the different sweet bread breakfast loaves and muffins. They also have several cakes that i have never tried but based on all my other experiences would no think twice about getting if need for a special occasion. Lastly I must say they make some of the best non chain store coffees, espressos and lattes i have ever had anywhere in the country and are a must pickup whenever i am driving by and need a quick pick me up for the ride home to PA. The staff is extra friendly and quick to help u pick the best item for your needs. And for such a small store it is incredibly comfortable, clean and well laid out to fit a whole lot of food and a few tables looking out onto Arctic Ave. Love these old authentic independent stores and will always be a visitor as long as we both are around.“
“I ordered a 3-bone prime rib for an early Christmas dinner and it was phenomenal. Very good quality/cut of meat and delicious. The employees were also very helpful and nice. I would definitely order from there again and I can’t wait to try the rest of their products.“

“I definitely enjoyed my big slice here on the Ocean City boardwalk! It's at least 20" and on the thin side. I liked the cheese the most out of the three pizza parts. I would give the nod to Manco and Manco overall, but this is still a great slice. Ambiance is nice - I would LOVE to try eating an entire pie in under an hour and earning a reward! Maybe next time I'm in Ocean City...“

“WOWSIE!! This place is a gem. Staying at the nearby Marriott and in need of an authentic Italian meal - superior pizza and antipasto combo in an aesthetic ambience did not disappoint- coming from picky relatives of the famous Julia Child. Please visit if in Galloway - and the waitresses were super sweet too. Overhead music could and should be switched to jazz - Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra, etc . music but won’t lower rating because of it.“

“I wanted to write a review for Nino's because I have established them as my pizzeria since moving down here 3 years ago.First off, the owners are the nicest, genuine people ever. I usually engage in small talk when i'm picking up a pie from them and I always get the impression that they know me and they appreciate my business.I usually just get a plain pie, sometimes I add stuff on it, but it is usually very good. I wouldn't say that there is anything particular about the pies that have a WOW factor, but on a scale of 1-10 I would give them a solid 7. All around, a very good quality pie.The only thing I would say negative about them, and hopefully if they read this, they take it as constructive criticism and not down talk at all, because overall I love these guys, but over the past couple of years I have consistently ordered, a handful of times, the pizza was a little inconsistent. I had a few dud pies.Overall, if you are in the area and are looking for a pizza, I would definitely recommend !“

“Loved, loved, loved it here... the atmosphere was exciting, fun, and different from the run of the mill AC restaurants. The random entertainers that popped out to visit and perform for us were awesome. That alone is worth 5 stars..Food..For starters we ordered the calamari and beef tartar.. They were both amazing and prepared well, the beef was fresh, and the calamari was light and crispy... we also had the crab meat pizza.. this was deep dish style and amazing as well.. now on to the mains..this is where the food got a little disappointing.. the featured fish was a cod I beleive it was, it tasted like it was either cooked from frozen and/or overcooked. They should probably take that off the menu to save face. We also had the steak, which was pretty good just needed a little salt and it was good to go.. we added on the truffle butter, it was pretty bad.. Next was the short rib, again underwhelming, it sat on a bed of artificial tasting creamy potatoes. For side dishes we got creamed potatoes, which tasted like boxed potatoes and lacked flavor, and broccoli rabe, which was a little underwhelming flavor wise.Drinks: were all awesome. We even got a couple free shots of the "pool boy" for participating in an impromptu performanceAll in all, we had an amazing time and would definitely be back. I think next time, I may just stick to the appetizers, pizza, and drinks.“

“Sal's is a great place for family, couples, kids and parents. They have another room in which you can have meetings, banquets, birthday parties, or any other affairs. My son's team won the Somers Point Street Hockey Championship and we had our banquet and celebration there. The staff was very accommodating, efficient, fast, friendly and very attentive for anything that we needed. I will be going back to Sal's again.Vegetarian options: I'm not a vegetarian but I would think that pizza would be vegetarian. And then you had to add green peppers onions and other vegetarian items.Dietary restrictions: I'm not a dietitian, I think they have some gluten-free stuff not sure.Parking: You pull right off on route 9 they have on one end either an entrance exit and on the other end of the strip mall they have another entrance and exit. Parking was very very easy.Kid-friendliness: Well we had our 13-15 year old championship street hockey team there. There were kids all over. It's a very very friendly place to bring your kids, family, mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, Uncle, Aunt, or cousins.Wheelchair accessibility: It would be very easy with someone in a wheelchair to get in and out of the parking lot and restaurant.“

“I haven't been to Luigi's in years, and WOW what a pleasant surprise! The restaurant is cozy and comfortable. The service was excellent but I was super impressed at the food. The brick oven pizza, great and the minestrone soup was so good. I ordered the pappardelle pasta in a rosa Alfredo sauce, absolutely delicious and a large portion. We also ordered shrimp Fra diavolo, the shrimp were large and butterflied, also very tasty. It was girls weekend in OC so they gave us each a cannoli for dessert. The menu offers sandwiches, kids meals, pizza and entrees. The staff were pleasant and the owner stopped at most tables to check on things. We will certainly be back. “On our way back from Atlantic City, we did a quick Google search for lunch spots with good reviews, and this pizzeria landed on our radar. Kinda tucked away in the back of the plaza, the food surely did not disappoint! The pizza was great, not greasy or oily, with a good crust. We had to try the canolis as well and they were wonderful as well. The woman that waited on our table was cheerful and friendly, and suggested we stop by Smithville on our way back, which we did and enjoyed. Thank you for the great time.“

“The food overall was very good. We had the eggplant appetizer which was excellent. The marinara was fantastic. My fiancé had the pappardelle which she enjoyed very much. I had the Lasagna which was a generous portion and the flavor was great but, it wasn't heated all the way through and cold in the center. The service was excellent considering only one waiter was working about 10!or so tables and also taking care of the hosting and bussing duties. He handled it very well but, because I felt bad he was working so hard I didn't want to bother him with sending the lasagna back to be heated. I would definitely recommend it and intend to try it again.“
