“This place is excellent. I bought my friend from Japan with his family and was happy to take them to Cornbread for some authentic soul food. Needless to say my friend and his family loved the experience. They were finishing a road trip throughout the US and they thought the food at Cornbread was some of the best they had in their month long journery. The turkey wings were particularly good and I'm saying this as a person who is mostly vegetarian. Service was also excellent with attentive help and the servers were conversational and friendly with my friends and I. Bathrooms were also very clean. I wholeheartedly recommend Cornbread Montclair as a solid business and a great place for delicious Soul Food.“

“The food here is sooo good. Me and my friend were recommended to come here and get something for our Halloween movie watch party. So we said why not? We were not disappointed in the slightest bit. You can smell the food down the street and the atmosphere when you walk in is 10/10. The staff inside are so nice. The portion are hefty and plentiful. The food was so delicious. I got their shrimp, fish and wings plate with fried okra, potato salad and sweet potato fries. My friend got the catfish, wings and fries plate with collard greens, candied yams and fried sweet plantains. We also decided to get their peach cobbler wings. Worth every penny.“

“The catfish was fried & seasoned to my liking. The collard weren't. But they were tasty 😋. And the potato salad was succulent. There was a nice vibe. I was a resident of the area until I moved 4 years ago. I rarely get a chance to visit. I was with my cousin who brought me there. I'll definitely be back.“

“I took food to my job and they loved I brought a pan of yellow rice cabbage and a $20 pan of potato salad and took it to my job cause we had a birthday party for a coworker. They loved the food they never had it before I live in South Amboy but I’m from Newark work in Matawan at the nursing home, and they never had the flu before they loved it. Good job, kings.“

“I like their wings,cakes,cabbage, beef sausage egg & cheese, and smoothies. I don't like the potato salad, macaroni salad was too sweet for me. Mac&cheese didn't have the flavor I was expecting although the texture was there.“

The food we catered (Mac & cheese, greens & cabbage mix, along with jerk salmon) were all delicious with the perfect amount of heat. The dishes were beautifully presented for us upon pick-up to warm easily for our gathering with specific warming instructions to prevent drying out. Our family appreciated the hands that prepared our feast. Chef Mo goes out of her way to make sure details are met with a smile! I would highly recommend everything on the menu.

“My order was quite enjoyable. I had some large fish that was topped with rice that had been seasoned and sauteed onions and peppers. Since I had never really had African food before, I ordered something that didn't really fit with my order, so I really appreciate that they phoned me. The ginger beverage was flavorful, zesty, and refreshing.“

“The food is delicious! My union had a black history dinner and Two Fish & Five Loaves catered the food! Very tasty and delicious! I don’t trust a lot soul food restaurants due to tons of sodium and grease but Two Fish & Five Loaves was just right! I will like to one day dine in. I highly recommend this place for catering!“

Parking: Maybe on the inside streets you’d have better luck but on the main road it wasn’t very easy per se“
