“Small place ran by a lovely couple with all the signature classic Romanian dishes! This place is a complete hidden gem! The eggplant salad starter is just like my grandmother and mother make, the meats are excellent - portion sizes are huge and everything tastes like a solid Romanian place on my visits to Romania. The star today was the Papanasi - a classic Romanian cheese donut! One of the best I had ever! Highly recommended! Will definitely come again!“

“I got the chicken jollof. The people are very friendly and nice. Rice was just okay but the chicken was definitely very good. I would definitely want to come back but I most certainly will not. I paid $27 literally for some chicken, rice, and cabbage. Call it a portion and a half but I did eat the entire thing. Really though, I can go almost anywhere in this city and get the same, if not better, for $12-15. I’ll be honest, I am not even sure how they remain in business charging those prices to people. Well, that’s my two cents minus 2,700. Up to you if you want to give it a go.“

Everything we ordered was delicious, but one of my favorites—unfortunately I forgot to take a picture—was the mixed vegetables. They tasted incredibly fresh with a subtle balance of sweetness and tangy citrus. It was the perfect palate cleanser and made me want to keep eating more skewers 😆

Their banchan are not super varied but all go well with meat. The restaurant space goes in deep and has plenty of air vents for grilling. It was clean outside and inside. The atmosphere was modern with plenty of 4 seating at a table for the room it had. It did not have Dominican souvenirs all over. Now the food. We ordered Chofan with churrassco and Maduro. Also, I ordered 1/2 baby back ribs and chicharron pork bellies. They were out of this world. The bone fell off that no meat was left on the bone. OMG it was so delicious. The chosen was so much, it was more served for 2 people. It is pricey, but you get what you pay for and more. Would definitely recommend.“

“I come here pretty often but cannot claim to have explored the menu thoroughly. I absolutely love their tteokbokki, which is just lovely: great portion size, perfect texture, and the subtle spice and sweet flavor of the sauce. Amazing with the addition of cheese.

I’ve also tried the tofu bowl, which I have not bothered with again, as well as the kimbap on numerous occasions, which is a great option for a snack or light lunch. The fried dumplings are super crispy and delicious.

I also almost always get a side of kimchi, which is a good size for the price and has a nice flavor and kick to it.

100% would recommend; I mostly get takeout, but the dine-in seating area is a nice setup. Sometimes they have a BOGO deal on the tteokbokki and it absolutely makes my day every time.“
