“This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. They know what they're doing and what they're talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is stunning!! Some italian classics and some twists, amazing wines and for their prices it's 100% worth it. Love this place and I can't wait to return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in NYC.“

“There's a reason this place has been in business for over 100 years. Worth the trip to Red Hook just to eat a sandwich. Trust me and take my word for it, you will not find a better sandwich anywhere in New York City, Philadelphia, or probably even the whole East Coast. Again, worth a special trip. ?“

“Another visit to Faicco's on another trip to NYC was just as good as always. We loved the Rice, Prosciutto, and Potato Balls. The only gripe was the Fried Ravioli. It was not good with hard ravioli and hard cheese even after heating up. We only ate half of the dozen we ordered and that was too many. Can't beat the prices though! Great service otherwise!“

“My new favorite sandwich shop in NYC, it's just perfect. The owners are actually French and all of the selections are phenomenal. Seriously, you can't go wrong, just try one. I don't know how they do it, but the ingredients are all the peak of freshness and quality. Each sandwich is made with care and love and the owner is a pleasure to speak to. Just writing this review makes me want to go get another sandwich. Personal favorite so far, Le Pate Rustic.“

“Little hole-in-the-wall place with a ton of character and good food. The owner was super friendly and accommodating (let me order a breakfast sandwich after breakfast hours). We chatted while our order was made and it made for a nice personal experience. We felt valued although we were "just tourists".
Check em out, good food, good prices, good service.“

“The service here is beyond excellent. The employees are very kind and respectful, and work in a very timely manner. When I mixed up my order, and realized that I didnt need pickles, they gladly took them off. I will definitely be returning to this place. Best place to eat if you don’t have a lot of time in all of NJ. All of their sandwiches are heaven on bread. Would highly recommend.
Kid-friendliness: Friendly

“The homemade mozzarella was delicious! The sandwich we ordered was loaded with delicious, freshly sliced cold cut meats. The were several topping offerings and the peppers were delicious. The bread was soft, yet chewy and held up to the sauces, oils and vinegar. This is a definite stop for an original, genuine Italian sandwich. The homemade bottled sodas were delicious. You must know there is nowhere to sit. This is a togo only establishment. While the service was helpful it was not overly friendly or didn’t go out of their way to make you feel welcome, even though we shared it was our first time. Again, still worth it to enjoy this amazing sandwich.“

“My favorite bagels in Brooklyn and I’ve tried dozens of spots. Not cheap but so worth the price. Wish they had a couple more chairs but it’s a small place. Staff is really nice too.
I highly recommend the pretzel bagel if you wanna switch things up.“

“Stopped in 90min before closing, around 5pm. First off, everything on the menu sounded really good and my wife were kind of torn... The owner literally immediately engaged us and was like "tell me what you're feelin?" - this gentleman steered us to sandwich paradise ?
We decided to split a large classic Italian sub with a couple changes and ended up with a 12" sub (but I'd bet someone it was more like 14") with ham, salami, pepperoni, and provolone. Added lettuce/tom/oil/vinegar/mayo with salt n pepper and some oregano. The cost was $17.05 ($8.50 all in with tax each if splitting) and this bad boy was plenty for the two of us!
They *only* use Boars Head meats/cheeses and let me tell you, it absolutely SHOWED!! High quality ingredients result in a high quality product and this was no exception! It was the absolute best f***ing sandwich either of us have had in a long time! This guy was a true artisan and master of his craft!
Stop in and get an Italian sub and I promise that not only will you not be disappointed but you'll be amazed and enjoy the best sandwich you've had in recent memory!
We plan on going back again real soon to try the Philly cheese steak, get another Italian sub and try the Mac salad which also looked amazing. Will update this review or post another one when we do!
EDIT: Went back the following morning and got a Taylor ham egg and cheese sandwich. ????
EDIT 2: Went back for the 3rd day in a row, SHOCKER dudes cheese steak is also ?
EDIT 3: 11/1/2024 - New special on Friday called " Philly Cheesesteak Fridays" - $5 for a cheesesteak and $7.50 for cheesesteak with fries and a soda! Just picked up 2 of them for me and the Mrs.! Guess what? AWESOME AS USUAL AND LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE!“

“Deliriously delicious shop in the East Village! The sandwich rolls were the best I've tasted in NYC and perfectly toasted. My love and I enjoyed The Hog, a vermicelli and meat salad with the best fish sauce, and a lamb taco. I especially was impressed with the cleanliness and food handling. Go to "about us" to read the interesting story of the two friends/owners who we were so fortunate too meet at Wheelers in Sheepshead Bay.“

“Holy crap the sandwich was good it was bursting with flavor and everything in between. The guy helping me gave me 70 free bags of chips and free cookies, of course. My life has been changed forever. The sandwich was so good, for a second I thought my dad returned.“

“Stopped at this restaurant by coincidence today and it was the best that could have happened. One of the guys there recommended the Americano sub, and i have to say hands down it was the best sandwich i had in a long time. They have a few options for this sandwich, I chose grilled chicken. The chicken was thin and cooked to perfection, the bread was not toasted but so soft, it really didn’t need to be. The toppings added the final touch, pickled onions and pickles along with the lettuce and tomatoes and an amazing dressing to finish. The sandwich was big enough that I shared with my sister, but honesty I could eaten the whole thing. 5 stars all around, I will dream of this sandwich tonight 🤌🏼🤌🏼“

“This place is hands down one of the best sandwich spots in NYC. From the moment you walk in, you can tell they care about quality! Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and sandwiches made with real attention to flavor.
The staff are friendly and clearly love what they do. Whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or looking for a great spot to eat in Bryant Park, this place is a must try. Highly recommend!!“

“Tony Boys is a sandwich lover’s dream! They have an insane selection of sandwiches — and as a vegetarian, I was so impressed by how many options there were for me. I went with friends, and the way we demolished our sandwiches says it all.
We tried the Eggplant Parm, the Angry Bird with eggplant, and the Lumpy with chicken — every single one was packed with flavor and seriously satisfying. My mouth is watering just thinking about it again. If you’re anywhere near this spot, do yourself a favor and go. You won’t regret it!“

“My favorite place in Hoboken! The owner is one of the kindest people I have ever met, and every delicious dish is made with love. Great coffee, omelettes and breakfast sandwiches! Cozy ambiance, good music and cool local artwork on the walls. Definitely give this place a try!“
“I order from here so much it was time to drop a review. Food is consistently good, fresh, and fairly priced. Matzo ball soup is the reason I frequent here and have since then expanded my ordering. Literally everything I've tried from soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts have been good. A great no frills lunch option that caters to everyone. Thank you for always being consistent with quality and getting orders right. My favorite lunch place!“

“Heard about this place online and wanted to try it. Price wise, its around the same price as the other food in the area. The paninis were okay. Honestly, if I gave you a panini from a local popular corner deli and this place, this place would be slightly better. Give this place a shot and you can decide for yourself. I had the Cubano and it was okay.“

“I was guided by a comment about the coffee (red in Colombia🇨🇴) and it is very good, I don't know if it is the best but on my trip it was the only one that didn't have as much water. The attention was very warm and the person who spoke to us spoke a little Spanish and made an effort to understand it, which was greatly appreciated. I had an egg sandwich, very good.“

“People talk about seeing Jesus in bread but I literally saw the very face of god in these sandwiches. Every day I walk by Lil' Frankie's Grocery and Katz, on one hand I am disgusted that Katz has a longer line than Frankie's, on the other hand I am thankful I can get the best sandwich in NYC with ease. This is the kind of restaurant instagram hype beasts ignore (because they are not paid to shill it) but it is the exact type of place that deserves more praise, and is the type of flavortown experience people are looking for when they come to NYC to sample the best food in America. Plus the people working there are so friendly and amazing!
The sandwich menu itself is a comprehensive set of finely tuned sandwiches. Each is unique, delicious, and composed of extremely complimentary ingredients that most 1 star MICHELIN restaurants in NYC fail to achieve. (I've been to many)
My favorites:
Classic - The Employee of the Month
Crowd Favorite - Brown Butter Steak
Neo-Culinary Perfection - Hot Thanksgiving Sandwich

“Prices are great as is the quality of the food. Place has the typical rushed NYC feeling so make sure you know what you want before you queue. There is almost no seating as its more of a counter take out kind of place. It was busy when I went but there is a ton of staff behind the counter so stuff gets done quickly.“

“Just ordered my full-sized #13 The Original Italian Giant sub through the Jersey Mike’s app.
The all female crew was just as busy when I got there ate half my sub and left.
I had no cash but tipped $1 / 4 quarters from my change purse, cause this crew earned it. Well done!!!
Thanks for making my sandwich my way (half to eat there and half to-go & eat later!
Tip them whenever & however you can, if you pay attention to the work that they always seem to be doing, they earn it on each customer that walks in there, however you order & they do such a good job, they always seem making their steady flow of customers great food just it was ordered.
Respect & thanks again. 🙏🏽 😎“

“Really cool spot to have lunch.
The grilled corn beef sub is phenomenal.
I get mine with provolone cheese, lotta mayo, lettuce tomato, & salt and pepper.
Add a 20 oz. Coca cola or Sprite on the side and I'm in there.
Oh yeah I always order an extra sandwich 4 later.“
