“A friend of mine extolled the virtues of Shake Shack back in the day when they were in the park in NYC and had cameras set up so you could see how long the line was. Now there are bunches of them and they're all pretty good; some are just better than others. This one at EWR Terminal A is one of my favorite airport Shacks and I think does a better job than most. The atmosphere is very chill and they serve beer. Grab a window booth and watch the planes arrive at and push back from the gates.”

The atmosphere was great, the music was a little too LOUD especially for some young children in my party and we the adults and young people we couldn’t hear each other speaking and my suggestion is to have the music at a moderate tone so we can hear each other at the table and also to make sure the waitress/waiter get the food order correct . The beef suya was also cooked to perfection. The plantains were ripe and tasty as well. & Can we talk about portions? You get a lot of food for the price. My husband said it was the best pastrami he’s ever had and my son had an “extra cheesy” grilled cheese. The owner visited our table and introduced himself. Cannot recommend this place enough!”

The sauce on the shrimp was great dipping for the bread. For the Entree the seafood pasta was fresh and a generous serving portion for 5-6 people alone in 1 serving. We also had the picadinho, which was my favorite- excellent... not too greasy! And had a good portion of salad with steak. It's not very big and doesn't seem to be popular for eat-in dining, but it is always busy with people getting take out. The pizza itself has rather thin crust and the sauce is great. I love their margherita pizza. If you eat there, be prepared to pay for drinks even if you get water. They only have bottled. The only down side is that because it's a small place and busy the service can be slow. Order in advance and then you can pick it up or have it delivered when you're ready to eat. Now there are bunches of them and they're all pretty good; some are just better than others. This one at EWR Terminal A is one of my favorite airport Shacks and I think does a better job than most. The atmosphere is very chill and they serve beer. Grab a window booth and watch the planes arrive at and push back from the gates.”

Food was great, they keep place clean and food always stocked. They even have a party room for special events. They also have a restrooms which is also clean and well maintained. We inquired about seating arrangements, and learned they shared space with a sushi and steakhouse. We enjoyed the pizza even more this time, but unfortunately, the waiter significantly overcharged us, with the extra money seemingly going to the steakhouse instead of the pizzeria. He charged $5 for a small cup of juice for my 2yr old, $5 for a can soda, and $4.50 for a bottle of Poland Spring water, This unexpectedly increased our bill considerably. Despite this, I left a tip, even though I'm going through homelessness i am not petty. However, I now understand why there were so few customers dining in; the bar was completely empty. I hope management will address this pricing issue, as it has unfortunately resulted in the loss of my business. 20 for the pizza and 23 for 3 drinks... Including tax & he sneaked in 6.23 service fee..
