“sitting, thankful i chose pita square for lunch. i was craving something to make me feel fulfilled, not full. balanced and fresh. i chose to be picky today and it went in my best favor. we’ll get into the food, but let’s start off with the atmosphere. pita square is fresh, clean, and airy. which makes it a great spot to relax and enjoy your meal in peace. colorful with subtle decor, clean bathrooms, great customer service, and an affordable menu. i got the $7.99 lamb platter: well seasoned lamb, rice, and colorful salad, drizzled with white and hot sauce. everything is very fresh. the best of all, perfect portion to eat some and pack for later. giving them their 10s, stop by and give it a try. i’m glad i did. i feel great after eating.“

“Food is absolutely delicious!!. Atmosphere is super casual, decent amount of seating, staff we're kind, and friendly. Everything made to order, so be prepared to wait up to 10 minutes for a hot/fresh/delicious meal. In my opinion the 6 piece grilled tenders are the best value for your buck, definitely ask for a side of their white sauce, it's out of this world delicious!!. Food is a tad spicy, but nothing extraordinary, the spice level is fine for casual spice tolerance individuals like myself. All around great place to dine. I've dined in/out Food was great either way. 10/10 easily!.“

“Humble seems to be the best word to summarize this restaurant. The men who run it seem to have a great rapport with their customers; they’ve been there for 20+ years and it shows. They were kind and accomodating. The food was plated carefully and was pretty taste. My only complaints were putting margarine on my pancakes without asking and the tiny plastic utensils, which left my hands covered in syrup. However both of those go to the restaurant being unpretentious. There’s no atmoshere to speak of but it was clean. I’d eat here again but probably wouldn’t go out of my way.“

“Excellent food. Ordered Chicken burger, fries and friend chicken. Food was fresh, tasty and warm. More than everything, had a great conversation with Mr. Javed while waiting for my food to get ready, who is the owner of the restaurant and a thorough gentleman. Will highly recommend.“

“I always order the chicken shawarma platter. It is served with my preferred choice of rice, pita bread, salad and their specialized sauce. The food is delicious, savory and a great dinner meal option. The portioning of the food is generous and healthy. I love eating at the Kebab House!“

This is one of the few line places that actually honors an extra meat portion. I don’t know if any other place in Newark that you can get basically a meal for two under $14. Disclaimer, I eat a lot.

“I am from Montclair but travel to Newark often for their chicken, mac and cheese, onion rings, pizza and shrimp. Yum. Their employees are wonderful. The restaurant is busy because their food is worth it. It is inappropriate for anyone to suggest that their location means they should sell their good food for cheap.“

“This used to be a full service restaurant before Covid but now only takeout and delivery available. Has good extensive menu and good service. The food is hit or miss based on my experience.

Vegetarian options: There are quite a few vegetarian options available on the menu“
