“For a $1000 meal I expect flawless service and unfortunately that was not the case. Drinks ordered during dinner arrived while eating desert. Two times they brought over the wrong drinks and one order they completely forgot.. Also when waiter brings over food he should know who ordered what and not have to ask again. Food was good but service needs improvement if those are the prices you will be charging.”

“First off, I was met with by a staff member in a cowboy hat (LOVE!) The booth was so soft and comfy and the table stands are ornate. I had the short rib and the meat was fall off the bone delicious! It was so tender and the sides were so plentiful and delicious. Each side had something a little different to pair well with the meat; sweet, salty, savory! I also had the shik Karak which was a delicious tea and for dessert, I had a banana crepe drizzled in chocolate. They do have a flair with food and I will definitely be back here!”

“I had the most incredible dining experience at Sakura last night! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere greeted me. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed throughout the meal. The sushi selection was out of this world - fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I especially loved the dragon roll; it was a perfect combination of textures and tastes. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes. Sakura is definitely my new favorite restaurant!”

The person working was a complete gentleman and kindly offered to make me another. It shows his character, and the values of this location to retain their customers. “Best pizza in New Jersey! I’m honestly surprised Dave Portnoy hasn’t come to rate this place a 10. Their pizza is incredibly crispy, and the ingredients are simple but high quality. They’re always making different pies throughout the day, so there’s always something fresh and delicious coming out.

The customer service is impeccable. I’m not from New Jersey, but every time I walk in, they treat me like family. They also have a great lunch special—two slices of any kind. I usually go for the vodka cheese and a pepperoni slice, and it never disappoints. Oh, and you have to try the sugar-free cream soda—it’s so good!

100/10 would recommend!”

“Wow! The dining room is awesome. Ordered Pineapple fried rice and the dish was nicely presented actually in the pineapple shell. They made it medium heat and brought the chili sauce for me to burn as much as I wanted. All the veggies and meats were chopped, cooked and packed into the pineapple. Definitely my most interesting presentation and is probably one of the best Thai dishes I have ever had! Short time in area but I will go back several times before I leave. And the service/server was attentive, fast and very friendly!”

“Sol is one of those rare neighborhood restaurants that really brings a community together. Good food, excellent vibes, and wonderful care and service from the owners and staff is reflected in the many smiling faces I see here every morning, evening, and on the weekends when I pass by.

I finally got the chance to stop in for a proper meal (normally I grab a reasonably priced breakfast sandwich and a coffee here while I'm running for the bus) and I was delighted with my experience. The Sol Breakfast Platter hit the spot with a bold, hot cup of coffee! The music and general vibrancy of the room added to my pleasure of the experience. I look forward to coming back again with my wife in the near future to try out more of the delicious sounding items on the menu!

Parking: Free street parking on Livingston Ave or Stevens Street, but in a tight neighborhood

Kid-friendliness: The restaurant is very family friendly. I often see full families enjoying meals together.

“I've always enjoyed the food here. The falafel is great. The potato wedges are wonderful. I've had friends and relatives get the burgers and chicken platters and they all loved them. Nice selection of desserts. You should go in and see the selection which is more than what is available on the website. The workers have always been very nice. I wouldn't try eating there. Just get takeout. It's a little hard getting in and out of the few parking spaces in front on this very busy road but it's worth it. The pizza is okay, but if you really want pizza I would go to a pizza place. You can't be all things to everyone, but their falafel, chicken, sides, and other meat dishes all seem to be spot on here.”

“Best grandma pizza that I have ever had and I eat alot of pizza! Nice crunchy crust, delicious pizza sauce on top of a nice bed of mozzarella. If I don't get the grandma pie then I go for the grilled chicken on foccacia. Their Focaccia bread is out of this world. After I'm done eating I always wish I ordered a second panini it is really that good. Highly recommend this restaurant.”

“China Garden is definitely one of the best spots around if you’re looking for affordable and delicious Chinese takeout. The food is consistently good — flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. When you pick up your order directly, the prices are very reasonable. I spent about $18 for two full meals, which is a great deal considering the portion sizes.

Just a heads up: if you order through Uber Eats or other delivery apps, the total can get pretty pricey with fees and markups. So if you want to keep it affordable, picking up is definitely the way to go.

Today when I paid I used my debit card instead of paying cash like I have every other time this was around 12:15pm today. The employee made a big deal about it being a NASA Card (my mom worked at Nasa & I have had an account there since 10th grade) By 1:30pm someone had attempted to use my card for a $1,339 AT&T purchase that was declined three times then used some Delta D account to charge $799.60 and unfortunately the second attempt work. I just came from the location and and all I had was smoke blown up my but. Either an employee or patron did something and they have a camera inside the store but was told the owner has the key. If the owner would just let me know when he will be there I will show up and we can handle this like gentlemen. I have been going to this place for over 5 years and work near by. For the record the card has been cancelled and NASA is tracking where charges are being attempted from. Paul”

“I absolutely love this place. And their desserts are delicious to eat especially the cheesecake and cream puffs ! The staff are friendly and very kind people. It’s a friendly environment and very comfortable as well!

But one issue, although yes I used to work in retail and i understand that people work long hours and deals with customers all day long. And i completely understand what is it like to be in their shoes.
But I noticed that two of male cashiers (9/20/24). They don’t seem that friendly with me. I’m not saying it has to be all sunshine and rainbows and for them to be all smiley or whatever lol. But still, I was friendly with them when I paid for my things at the register and they looked at me as if they were annoyed by me. Again understanding that they were tired and worked hard and I do appreciate all of them for their hard work to provide best customer service! But still they need to practice being just a bit more friendlier ? !

But overall , I have the best experience there!”

“I just discovered this location and I've been eating from here everyday ever since. Today I made my order online like I always do and 30 mins later went to get my order, I was told it's not there and I overheard them saying the order was prepared and it seems someone grabbed the order. Now the previous times I went to get my order I was asked the last 4 digits of my phone number, so why did they hand my order over to someone else this time without asking for the last 4 digits of the phone number is very questionable... Anyways other than that, the food was great as always.”
