“My family arrived at Sushi and Kimchi late in the evening right before their closing, but the host welcomed us and informed us what was available. We were so grateful. “We decided to try this sushi spot under its new ownership—and we’re so glad we did! The sushi was incredibly fresh, and the menu had a great variety of rolls to choose from. My daughter ordered the Udon noodles, which were packed with flavor and served with crisp, fresh vegetables.

The sushi chef even surprised us with a complimentary roll as a thank-you for coming in—it was almost too beautiful to eat! And to top it off, they gave us each a serving of mochi ice cream on the house, which was a perfect sweet ending.

However, our meal was disrupted by a group of unaccompanied children who were very loud, constantly changing the restaurant’s music, and playing with the volume to the point it was hard to hold a conversation. One even mentioned their dad owns the building. Another diner actually asked if they were ours because it was that disruptive.

I really hope the owner addresses this, because it’s not fair to the staff or the guests if the children are being truthful about coming three times a week being this disruptive. Otherwise, this place is wonderful and I’d absolutely return when I’m back in the area.“

“We absolutely love it here at Kobe. We’re local to New City and used to go to another Japanese restaurant until we discovered Kobe about 4yrs ago. Since then we are regulars, we all love it - my husband and 3 daughters. We celebrate almost all of our family birthdays here - it’s always a good time. They always have something fun going on, most recently we attended their Anniversary party and everyone who attended had the opportunity to win a prize . They really appreciate their customers . The fish is fresh, the martinis are strong, the staff is always so gracious and pleasant. I can’t believe I hadn’t left a review sooner . We love KOBE it’s the best restaurant in New City in my opinion.“

“Best Sushi in Yonkers. All the rolls are absolutely fresh and decadent. The quesadillas are excellent as well. A fun mix of Sushi & Mexican. A must go to if ever in Yonkers. I even dare say it is the best sushi in the Bronx. They are located less than 1/3 of a mile from the Bronx border and they deliver to the surrounding neighborhood in the Bronx. “I just found PJ Sushi in Fort Lee recently (first heard about it on Facebook), and I've already been back twice in one week. Their lunch special is PROBABLY the best sushi deal around. Plus, the owners are super sweet. I called in a pickup order today but ended up deciding to eat some sushi right there in the restaurant. My baby started fussing and I had to feed him, and the owner noticed and was so kind. She even walked me to my car and helped me get my takeout settled while I put the baby back into the car. It was just such a thoughtful gesture. Definitely coming back whenever I can!“

“This is the place if you want authentic, high quality, Japanese food. The small dishes on the separate menu are really delightful.

Prices reflect food quality. Be prepared to pay for the best all around Japanese food in the area. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

They run it like fine dining, not like a casual sushi bar. So they have strict rules around noise, noisy kids, and cell phones. Don't expect to bring your kid and set him up with an ipad with the volume on. Seems reasonable. No outside food, no exceptions. Seems reasonable.

The servers were polite, no issues in this department.

“Such a lovely experience here. Great value and really tasty food. I got the teriyaki salmon and a veggie tempura, and the server was so friendly and patient—she suggested I switch to the smaller tempura so it wouldn’t be too much. I’m glad I listened because the portions were generous.

The salmon was crispy and tender, and the rice was delicious. As a true salmon lover, I was really happy. The only little drawback was finding a small bone in the salmon. The tempura was authentic and worth trying. I’d happily come back again.“

“The food was very fresh. You can savor all the vegetables. Decent portions. My fiancé had the Salmon Hibachi along with the Volcano Roll rolls and I had two special sushi rolls; Godzilla roll (Really good!!!) and some other one I forgot the name.
Very little traffic so service was great. The lady who attended us always had a smile and was very friendly.
We stopped by around 7 pm. Bathrooms were clean. For us two we spent about $65

I’d definitely return for the lunch specials! $13 hibachi and have 2 rolls for $12!!“
