“This place has been around for over two years, but I finally got to visit. Honestly, it’s been a long time since I’ve had a Korean spot where even the kimchi impressed me this much. The fresh kimchi tasted just like something my mom would make!
I thought the prices were a bit high compared to spots nearby, but the food was so good that I’m glad I came. After enjoying the gamjatang, I even came back for the ajusshi gukbap because it was that good!“

“Saw it on Instagram and had to try — totally worth it 🔥😋 The spicy broth was perfect, not too hot but super flavorful!
Lots of toppings too. The clam kalguksu had tons of clams 🫶 but the noodle portion felt a bit small. Overall, so good! 🍜✨”“

“By far my fave kbbq spot. The meats are high quality and the servers are always very friendly. Their marinated short ribs and house special spicy pork are my absolute faves. Love how the charcoal flavor gets into the meat. Their mool nengmyun (buckwheat noodles in a cold broth) compliments their bbq meats really well, and their broth is the real deal. The Korean-style beef tartare (over seasoned sushi rice) is phenomenal and my must-eat every time I go.“

“The lady at the front desk has a great smile and very friendly! We loved the food here and it’s the perfect spot right after a day at hot spa sauna next door. The seafood pancake was so crispy and it’s cheaper than anywhere else in the area.“

“Great spot if you want authentic Korean soups and stews. The side dishes (banchans) are tasty (but a bit salty to cater to the american palette). It’s also a tad less casual so it’s a nice spot to say, treat your in-laws or bring guests.“

“I went there by myself and order the grilled mackerel and seafood tofu soup combo. Everything tasted great. The seafood tofu soup was flavorful and not too spicy. I love the side dishes too. I wish I had a bigger stomach to finish everything. I saw other tables doing KBBQ, the meats seemed to be of high quality and offers table side service. The service staff were very attentive.“

“Clean and welcoming space.
The Gomtang Delux had a balanced savory flavor with a clean broth as well as thin cuts of tender brisket, chuck roll, and beef heel.
The potato, kimchi, and seafood pancakes each were crispy and tasty in their own way but a bit too greasy.
The kimchi/radish and pickled soy sauce onions pair well with the Gomtang Delux and pancakes.
The Seoulleongtang was light, creamy, and mildly seasoned.“

“Yook92 in Palisades Park is a standout Korean BBQ spot that I’m eager to return to. I visited at 425 Grand Ave, and the clean, welcoming environment set the perfect tone for a delicious meal. I ordered the Sweet and Spicy Chicken, and it was amazing—authentic, fresh, and perfectly cooked with a balanced kiss of heat and sweetness that reminded me of home-cooked Korean flavors. The chicken was incredibly juicy and tender, and every bite carried vibrant seasoning. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout, making me feel appreciated and well taken care of without being intrusive. The overall vibe was warm and inviting, and the attention to cleanliness was evident in every corner of the dining area. Given the quality of the food, the freshness, the excellent service, and the spotless setting, I would confidently give Yook92 five stars and highly recommend it to anyone craving authentic Korean BBQ. If you’re in the area and love spicy-sweet poultry, this place is a must-visit. Would absolutely visit again to explore more menu options and relive that same comforting, homey experience.“

“Excellent food. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Ordered the Vegtable beef stew and Spicy squid hot pot. Everything was fresh and served quickly. Came three times in 2 weeks thats how much i loved this place. The owner is very kind and friendly as well. Also BYOB, which is a plus!“
“While eating bossam here, I asked to take the leftovers to go. At many places, when you box food after starting a meal, they usually only pack the main dish.
But here, they thoughtfully packed everything that goes with bossam — the garlic, peppers, ssamjang, shrimp paste, and even the kimchi. It may seem like a small detail, but it honestly meant a lot to me.
I know this could be inconvenient for the servers, yet they did it without hesitation. That level of care and consideration truly impressed me. Excellent service and attention to detail — I’ll definitely be coming back.“

“I really love Dakgalbi, and this is one of the restaurants I went to in NJ. I would say that they do get really busy and it’s worth the wait. I usually spend over an hour here on each visit due to the wait times the food. But they give a lot of complementary dishes like corn and cheese, steamed egg, and a salad if you go during lunch times. I went during dinner and didn’t ge the salad. I love getting the cheese Dakgalbi with rice cake, minari, and sweet potato fries. I love how they give ricr after or have fried rice after. In the photos it was for three people. Would definitely come back because the Dakgalbi is so good!“

“New owner!
Very nice atmosphere, super comfortable. The food is delicious and menu is affordable for the quality of the food you are getting. My husband and I had the Agedashi Tofu, Pork Sirloin Katsu, Tuna Kimbap, and Potato Croquette. For dessert we had the Mango Bingsoo.
The bingsoo is probably the best in the area! Full of delicious mango, and syrup. It’s very tall too, so it’s a good deal.
The owner is very nice. Always provided a quick hot water refill.
It’s really very comfortable here. I could see myself sitting here for a while to just decompress. Will come back!“
“사장부터 직원 매우 불친절..자리를 기다리는 사람들에 대한 관리가 전혀 없고 중간 중간 여사장이나 직원이 아는 손님이 오면 중간중간에 슬쩍 끼워 놓음.한시간 이상을 기다리는 손님에 대한 기본 예의 조차 없음..“

“I absolutely loved the food here. it truly captures the cozy and rich flavors of authentic Korean home cooking. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the restaurant has such a comfortable, homelike vibe. I tried the soups, and every single one was delicious. If you enjoy a good mix of tender meat and fresh veggies, the stir-fried pork is a must-try. I’ve also heard their raw crab is famous among Korean diners, and I can see why! Everything here feels fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Highly recommended!“
“This is a small catering business/food spot that only local koreans know about. There is no seating, so you come here to buy your food and bring it home.
They are known to have the best flavors in town. They have authentic Korean soups, meat dishes, side dishes, and more. A must try for anyone looking to bring food home to eat.
Hands down the best 잔치집 in NJ!“

“I’ve tried several soy-marinated crab spots in New York, and this one really stood out. The crab wasn’t overly salty at all, and the seasoning was perfectly balanced and very well done.
The sumac duck broth was on the pricier side, but absolutely worth it, especially in winter. I had been outside all day, and after one bowl of soup I instantly warmed up so much that I started taking layers off. The abalone porridge was also comforting and flavorful. And honestly, one of the best surprises was the free pancake SOOO GOOD.
We really appreciate that the front desk still allowed us to dine even though we arrived just one hour before closing. We ate quickly and even ended up finishing some of the food in the car on the way home 😆
Before coming, I was debating between several restaurants since we live on Long Island and don’t get to Fort Lee very often. I’m happy to say I have no regrets choosing this place.
Huge thanks to the Mexican girls who served us, everyone was super friendly and welcoming.“

“I wasn't going to share this place with anyone because I don't want it to get crowded but I have to bc I love it so much. Presenting my new watering hole in Bergen! The location is where the old 21 used to be, on the top floor of the Son Jjajang building. Great happy hour everyday 4-8!! It's a steal considering how good the food is. Happy hour all types of soju are $8.99 and beers are cheap too. All the big dishes on the happy hour menu are between $14-$18 and I think the portion sizes are the same! I have yet to try something that I don't love on the menu. Their: Cheese buldak (fire chicken w/ mozzarella cheese.. ask for medium spicy if you can't do heat!) Jogae sujebi (Korean version of.. gnocchi? in clam broth..I always order another side of sujebi) Donkatsu (breaded & fried pork cutlet) Tofu & kimchi Ddukbokki (spicy rice cakes... I usually ask for cheese on this also lol) Tong dak (whole fried chicken) Gaeran mari (Korean cheese omlette w/ fried garlic on top) Budae jjigae (Korean army soup, goes great with soju!) and weirdly enough their giant plate of FRIES (idk what they do to those fries they're just fries but they're so good lol) are among some of my favorites. However, the food tends to be on the spicier side which isn't an issue for me, but if you can't handle too much spice be sure to tell your waiter. I can't say enough about how good the food is. The chef apparently refuses to use anything but the best ingredients and it shows in the taste of the food. Portions are big too! Obviously I eat here a lot... lol Oh and the servers and manager are all so nice!! One time we had a big party of 10 but they didn't have space so they put us in their only karaoke room in the back. We wanted to watch the US Open but we couldn't figure out the TV in the room so the manager found an HDMI cable and hooked his own cellphone up to it so we could watch. How sweet?!! At the moment they only serve soju and beer but I have been told that they will start offering liquor soon :) Like I said, I don't want this place to get crowded but they deserve the business with food and service like this. I hope they stick around and become a new staple in Pal Park! PS. The menu is entirely in Korean so bring a friend who is fluent or ask the waiters for suggestions! I will definitely have to mention to them that they should make an English version of their menu. Will be back with pictures later!“

“Stopped by on a Saturday at around 10:45 to pick up a few rolls. Everything is premade, so it makes for a nice, quick lunch. Rolls are $7-$8, which is cheap especially since they're made fresh in the morning. I think that's even cheaper than the fridged Hmart ones. Plus, it's packed with ingredients. They don't skimp on the meat and it's a good filling to rice ratio. We tried the grilled pork, beef, and fish cake kimbaps. They all tasted kind of similar but it was pretty good. We also had the dumplings, which I would skip because they just taste like the frozen Hmart mandus.
Definitely would come back the next time I'm craving some kimbap!“
“This restaurant, located inside Pine Plaza, down the hall from the bakery, always changes owners. The restaurant is currently called MatSaLang. My husband and I have been here twice during lunch. Their menu has both Korean and American dishes. I tried the seafood bibimbap and thought it was delicious but serving it in such a large pot made it seem like a kid's portion and it really was! Wish there was a bigger portion! I was sad when I was done after like 5 spoonfuls. My husband had the hangover soup or blood pudding soup and it was piping hot all the way till the end and very good as well. The second time we visited we decided to try the American food options so we ordered a house pasta and pork cutlet. We noticed the banchan or side dishes varied slightly which is great. The house pasta was just ok but the pork cutlet stole the show. The gravy was different from the usual tonkatsu sauce. It was very tasty. When the owner lady came by she was surprised we cleaned our plates and said she will give us a bigger portion next time. Haha. This is a nice new place in Pal Park. I hope they stay awhile!“

“Tried Totowah Plus for the first time because of their all you can eat promotion and was really impressed. The price was reasonable and the food was very good. Even the non all you can eat menu items are well put together. The restaurant is clean and the staff are super friendly and attentive. I personally value good service a lot no matter how good the food is, and this place definitely gets it right. I would come back again even without a promotion. ❤️“

“Best gimbap spot in the area. I’ve been to three other nearby spots and this one is by far the tastiest. The lady who is usually working there is also the most polite and courteous person I’ve ever met. I would give five stars just for her!“

“I would describe this place like a warm sweater on a cool day. We discovered this place by accident. There are only 3 tables inside, I think there are a few more in the back outside. This is some of the best grilled eel I've ever had, including in Korea and Japan, but at Palisades Park. The eel soup was surprisingly hearty and feels very home like. As I was eating everything, I felt like I was at someone's house. The side dishes are second to none. They have their own spin on things and they did a great job. This really feels like you're eating at someone's house. It's on my top Korean restaurants now“

“Hands down my favorite Korean Fried Chicken joint in New Jersey. The Pelicana at PP delivers the most consistent sauce flavor and portion size among all other KFC places in my opinion. In addition, they always run promos which significantly helps the wallet. I’ve never eaten at the restaurant but it has the typical KFC vibes, fun, good music, with plenty of booze. About to place my weekly order here!“
“Probably the best Korean Food found in NJ. I have frequently bought the Lunch Menu for my Kid and I was never disappointed. They prepare a various kinds of menu each day. I strongly encourage you to try this place if you’re looking for the best Korean Foods.“

“To Sok Chon is a reliable spot for traditional Korean comfort food. The dishes are classic and well balanced, with familiar flavors that feel homemade rather than overly commercial. Soups and stews come out hot and satisfying, especially on a cold day, and the side dishes are fresh and thoughtfully prepared.
The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, making it a comfortable place for a simple meal without any fuss. Service is straightforward and efficient, nothing flashy, but everything you need is taken care of.
Overall, a solid choice in Palisades Park if you’re looking for authentic Korean food at a reasonable price.“

“I didn't even know I liked rice cakes until I had the ones at Arirang. Rice cakes are typically dense, chewy blocks that, to me, never seemed worth the blood sugar spike. But my mom and sister have been raving about the rice cakes here for the longest time, and I finally managed to give them a try recently.
In short, they're incredible. I guess that's to be expected from a store that specializes in just one thing, but I immediately noticed a stark difference between these and the ones they sell at Asian supermarkets. Rice cakes (especially ones that have been on the shelves for some time) can be hard and tough, at worst erring toward the experience of chewing gum. Arirang's rice cakes are incredibly soft, both to the touch and in the mouth. Imagine the softest mochi-like texture giving way to a cloud of sweetness (the level of which depends on which kind of rice cake you get).
I'm a new fan of the fruit rice cakes, the likes of which I haven't seen in any other shop. The outside is powdery and tender, with a sweet, fruit filling that I found extremely moreish. My mom ordered a variety pack of red-bean filled rice cakes, which were also excellent.
The variety of rice cakes in this shop are a little overwhelming, but they're reasonably priced (especially for a specialty shop), so if you're fiending for some rice cakes - or are interested in trying them for the first time - I would absolutely recommend stopping by Arirang.
(Note: no seating space inside - takeout only)“

“I’ve tried in store and takeout (Jjajangmyeon, jjampong, 탕수육, 깐풍새우). The food is amazing and portions are okay compared to the price. The only thing is when it gets really busy like around noon, it gets very crowded in the small space.“

“This is one outstanding Korean BBQ place where they have the coal fired tables and enough ventilation that you don’t smell like charcoal, but the pan-char dishes too begin with are amazing and kept coming, good service followed by attentive waitresses that explained which meats to order and what side dishes that would accompany them made us feel that were we in Seoul again.
Wow we really enjoyed the kabli BBQ and the scallion pancake and the kimchi Jigee, the Pork Belly was very good and the steamed egg appetizer that was complimentary was amazing, the friends tried 4 types of meats and 3 sides a great selection and we will be back with more friends, also delivers and there parking behind the restaurant.“
