“This place is GREAT!

We were craving for some ttukbokki and kimbop, decided to try for a new place.

Their kimbop is delicious, great fillings and well seasoned seaweed.

Ttukbokki came out nice and hot. Rice cake was nicely cooked and seasoned. But come on, look at the boiled egg, it’s not one of those overcooked yolk!!

Ramyun and udon was also delicious, noodles were done jussssssst right. I will admit that I was a little thrown off by mixed greens on ramyun.

Donkatsu was one of the best as well. Pork was just the right amount of thickness and crispy.

I also don’t feel like crap after eating the food there, not over seasoned with high sodium or MSG.

People were also great there, highly highly recommend it!“

“We had korean bbq. It was pretty costly, but the meat, as far as I can tell, wasn't cheap meat, so all was good.

They also give you a good variety or banchan and they'll make fried pork belly rice if you leave some pork belly pieces after having the kbbq (add. charge)“

“My family’s go-to spot whenever we’re up in palisades park. The noodles are absolutely amazing, I actually prefer the sujebi over the noodles and it is equally as good. The starters are also good and the side dishes are always fresh, portion sizes are good and definitely worth the price!“

“First of all, the food is clean and delicious. The appetizers were oyster pancake, tteokbokki, and shrimp dumplings. The main dishes were galbijjim, samgyetang, gukbap, naengmyeon, and soy sauce marinated crab, and they were all really delicious. It's a good place for family meals and to bring guests.“

“This restaurant takes your order like fast food, but with Korean food, and the system is so easy. The food comes out relatively quickly for Korean cuisine.

I always get the mul naengmyeon and pork combo, perfect for the summer.

The vibe is nice and quiet, and while it might get busy, people come in and out fast.“

“Potato pancake and cold noodle are great. Suyuk is an excellent choice if u like boiled beef slices. Price is way cheaper than manhattan. Ox tail soup portion is about half compared to Korea. Decent taste. Ask for mustard sauce for those meats.“

“Among the crab combo, the soy sauce crab was just soso.. It was disappointing that there were no crab shells, and it had a slight crab smell..? Still, this crab paste seems to be good in the US, the abalone and shrimp paste are really delicious, and I ordered roe rice, but the roe rice was soft, so it goes really well with the abalone paste and shrimp paste. The green onion pancakes given as a side service were a bit greasy, but the flour was very thick and crispy, so it was totally my taste..🥰
I wasn't able to try Baeksuk because it requires a reservation 90 minutes in advance, but I registered it as a restaurant I want to come back to eat later!“

The rose tteokbokki wasn’t too spicy and had a rich, creamy sauce.
Bingsu had soft milk ice with a good amount of strawberries.
I’d definitely recommend trying their bingsu.“

“For a town with so many places to get kimbap, it is hard to earn the reputation of having “the best” kimbap in town, but they’ve done it. They consistently make the best kimbap in town fresh everyday, and they can even make kimbap to order, too.“

“The best authentic Korean restaurant hands down! The food is always delicious every single time. My two year old daughter also loves it just as much as I do. Great fast service. The Korean bbq ribs, raw marinated crab, and spicy udon octopus is a must every time I go. Not to mention their kimchi is the best I’ve ever had. The owners always greeting us with a smile. “I wasn't going to share this place with anyone because I don't want it to get crowded but I have to bc I love it so much. Presenting my new watering hole in Bergen! The location is where the old 21 used to be, on the top floor of the Son Jjajang building. Great happy hour everyday 4-8!! It's a steal considering how good the food is. Happy hour all types of soju are $8.99 and beers are cheap too. All the big dishes on the happy hour menu are between $14-$18 and I think the portion sizes are the same! I have yet to try something that I don't love on the menu. Their: Cheese buldak (fire chicken w/ mozzarella cheese.. ask for medium spicy if you can't do heat!) Jogae sujebi (Korean version of.. gnocchi? in clam broth..I always order another side of sujebi) Donkatsu (breaded & fried pork cutlet) Tofu & kimchi Ddukbokki (spicy rice cakes... I usually ask for cheese on this also lol) Tong dak (whole fried chicken) Gaeran mari (Korean cheese omlette w/ fried garlic on top) Budae jjigae (Korean army soup, goes great with soju!) and weirdly enough their giant plate of FRIES (idk what they do to those fries they're just fries but they're so good lol) are among some of my favorites. However, the food tends to be on the spicier side which isn't an issue for me, but if you can't handle too much spice be sure to tell your waiter. I can't say enough about how good the food is. The chef apparently refuses to use anything but the best ingredients and it shows in the taste of the food. Portions are big too! Obviously I eat here a lot... lol Oh and the servers and manager are all so nice!! One time we had a big party of 10 but they didn't have space so they put us in their only karaoke room in the back. We wanted to watch the US Open but we couldn't figure out the TV in the room so the manager found an HDMI cable and hooked his own cellphone up to it so we could watch. How sweet?!! At the moment they only serve soju and beer but I have been told that they will start offering liquor soon :) Like I said, I don't want this place to get crowded but they deserve the business with food and service like this. I hope they stick around and become a new staple in Pal Park! PS. The menu is entirely in Korean so bring a friend who is fluent or ask the waiters for suggestions! I will definitely have to mention to them that they should make an English version of their menu. Will be back with pictures later!“

“This is a small catering business/food spot that only local koreans know about. There is no seating, so you come here to buy your food and bring it home.

They are known to have the best flavors in town. They have authentic Korean soups, meat dishes, side dishes, and more. A must try for anyone looking to bring food home to eat.

“I’ve tried in store and takeout (Jjajangmyeon, jjampong, 탕수육, 깐풍새우). The food is amazing and portions are okay compared to the price. The only thing is when it gets really busy like around noon, it gets very crowded in the small space.“

“I'm a regular here. Jjajangmyeon is delicious. It doesn't taste like sugar and tastes like Miwon. It feels healthy, right? Anyway, it's delicious. It was like that for a while after the store moved, but it seems like it's back to its old taste. In particular, the Jjamppong sweet and sour pork is generous and the best in New Jersey!“

“I really liked the food that I got here. When we went, the hotpot stuff was not available so the owner just told us to order off the menu. He reco'ed the gamjatang and it was really good. The meat was so soft and it slid right off. I particularly liked the veggies in there. I also got the bibim guksu (spicy cold noodles). I told the owner I wanted naemyeon so he recommended the bibim guksu. It was really flavourful. Also - who can say no to unlimited kimchi! Highly reco this place. The portions were great for really good prices. And the owner was very nice!“

“I recently went to a Korean BBQ place in New Jersey for the first time with my boyfriend, and it was a really fun experience! We went there for dinner, and overall, it was a nice spot to try something different. The price was on the expensive side, but I guess they do things a bit differently here, so it felt special.

The meat tasted super fresh and was cooked perfectly. What’s cool about this place is that they cook the meat for you at the table, so you don’t have to do it yourself. It’s a great way to enjoy the food without worrying about overcooking it! The unlimited side dishes were definitely a win. There were so many to choose from, and they kept refilling them, which was a nice bonus. The side dishes added a lot of variety to the meal, and everything was fresh and flavorful.

The service was really nice, too. The staff was friendly and respectful, and we even had a little chat with them, which made the experience feel more personal. They were attentive and made sure everything was going smoothly.

While the food was delicious, I did feel a bit hungry after the meal since the portions weren’t super big. For the price, I expected to leave feeling full, but that wasn’t quite the case. Because it’s a bit expensive, I think this place is better for special occasions or important events rather than a casual dinner.

“I saw this place and decided to grab some fresh mandoo (dumplings) as a snack. I got a pork and a kimchi dumpling. The portions were huge and it was one of the most delicious mandoo I have ever had. I immediately went back in to buy a pack of the frozen pork mandoo. They are also so nice there. I am obsessed and will buy some every time I'm in the area!“
