“My family and I come here all the time for large family gatherings. The food is absolutely phenomenal here, especially the pecking duck buns and sweet and sour pork. We also love the soy sea bass, crispy chicken, ginger scallion lobster, pork chops and corn egg drop soup. One time we brought them king crab legs to cook and they cooked all of our king crab legs to perfection!! I don’t usually write google reviews but this place is so special to me and my family and adore this spot. The service is so fast and attentive and they are kind enough to provide free dessert whether that be fresh oranges, fresh fruit or even sometimes sweet red bean soup! Please consider coming here and supporting them! They’re so deserving, hardworking and kind!!“

“Was looking for a good authentic Chinese food in this part of Jersey, and this place clearly delivered. Incredible minced beef soup to start. Then had the fried rice, braised duck with mixed vegetables, and pan-fried flounder. Delicious. The service was good and attentive, though quite pricey, especially the duck ( $38), and there wasn't much meat, just more vegetables. But the flounder was worth it, $32.95.“

“I have not been to Hunan Noodle House since I was a kid, but came back to see how the noodle soup is. I got the spicy beef noodle soup and it's still very solid. Many large chunks of tender beef and tender noodles. I ordered pickup, the inside ambiance is nothing fancy, but the woman there guessed who I was and handed me my order right away. Overall still a good place for noodle soup.“

After several miss steps with mixed up orders, Dao is now cooking on all cylinders. We recently were there with friends and everyone loved it. Moreover, they have successfully accommodated my need to eat gluten free (I have celiac) several times, and have been pro active in suggesting what is easier and safer to make gluten free. “I’ve been ordering Chinese takeout back to living in Brooklyn for 20+ years. In almost all Chinese restaurant reviews, people always complain about delivery and how many shrimp they got. Just order pick up and don’t go to pricy places if u want to avoid being disappointed. I’ve bought from Madison Wok for 15 years now and never had a late order when ordering pick up here (usually 15 mins). The food tastes exactly as my local restaurant when I was a kid, so I can’t complain. For the price, consider how little you are paying for the amount of work and manpower going into it •• esp since it’s done so fast. Dao nearby has slightly less oil and flavor for a lot more money. I wanted to like it but just poor value since your deliver or pick up order price needs to support the wait staff. No American style Chinese food is healthy for you so stop thinking you’re doing something good by paying someone extra to do less oil, msg, etc. in summary, this is an old school place that gives you the standards for the least amount of money you’ll pay in this zip code. Not something to eat everyday, but when you need your fix for this kind of stuff. I recommend the pork dumplings, fried wings, curry chicken, wonton soup and any fried rice, plus the chow fun and generals chicken. My 3 kids never complain and no one has ever been sick. Sometimes I’m not crazy about the amount of meat but remember that I’m not paying $15 or $20 for a pint here, and the low prices are supporting a skeleton crew.“

It is Americanized Chinese food, and I have been to China. Now for Amer. Chinese food, the scallion pancakes were bad, doughy not crunchy at all, a 1 star. The basil beef was pretty decent, with enough basil and flavors, although my medium spice was more mild, but that is very subjective at each restaurant. The important thing is that the base dish was flavorful, a 3.5 to 4 star. HnS soup was a 3 star. Pretty std for American Chinese HnS soup. Important question: Would I go back? If it was more local, yes, I would probably have this as my std place. But with a 20-minute drive, I can go elsewhere.“

However, I was displeased to see that we were charged for six portions of rice when we ordered four dishes totaling $90. I believe that one rice portion should have been included per dish, making a charge for two extra portions fair. “For once, a Chinese takeout restaurant is aptly named.

When my family and I crave Chinese takeout, this is our go-to spot. Not only do they churn out large takeout orders in good time (our orders are typically quite large, and we've never had an issue in the thirty or so times we've ordered in the past), but it's always hot, well-seasoned, and well-prepared.

Our orders typically include a 'something-and-broccoli' dish, and they always manage to cook the broccoli to perfect tenderness. I'll also add that this is the only takeout place (ever) where I've actually liked the sesame chicken. In most places, it's either too sweet, mushy, or overly sauced; here, it's dependably delicious.

We especially love the combination plates on the menu, which offers certain entrees with a choice of fried rice or lo mein and a side of egg rolls.“

I called for delivery 1/2hr before closing. They were very kind on the phone and at delivery, even though it was at closing. The food arrived hot and VERY DELICIOUS!! The only downfalls were that the General Tso's were a bit soggy but that was from the steam in the container. I understand that. The other downfall was that I wish I ordered more!! The General Tso's, egg rolls, pork fried rice ( it had plenty of veggies for fried rice) and cheese wonton were all very tasty. THANK YOU for the great food and service!!
