“The people that work here are pretty friendly especially the ones that work the night shifts.

Only down side is that the prices are pretty comical if you are used to regular food prices. The owner has jacked up the price of fat sandwiches by almost $5 in within the past 2 years. I shouldn’t be paying $20 for a simple foot long sandwich that has a few fried foods in it.

Maybe have a student special meal as most of the business is from the High-school down the street.“

“We threw a drop-in Buffet dinner for family and friends at Houlihans for 30 to 35 people. The room is spacious and accommodated everyone comfortably. Our server Eileen was excellent and the food was delicious. Michelle who assisted with the catering was very detail oriented and help me plan a great event. Sebastian the manager as extremely gracious and helped ensure our guests were taken care of. I would definitely do it again and highly recommend..“

“Stumbled upon this gem and haven't looked back, since before covid, during covid and to this day! My favorite pub, I recommend all, never disappoints! “Had a wonderful anniversary dinner. Food was excellent and the live music was great. They just so happened to play our wedding song which was perfect. My husband and I had the tuna tartar and scallops as an appetizer. The scallops were over this creamy sweet corn chowder with corn salsa and croutons - it was amazing and the best scallops I’ve ever had! Tuna tartar was delicious too. My husband had the pork chops with this mustard crust and eggplant sauce and I had veal milenase with an arugula salad on top. Both were really delicious meals. The veal was huge and definitely could have split that. Even though we were so full, we still managed to get the yummy Pineapple cake and hazelnut chocolate mousse for dessert.“

Her experience behind the bar should never go unnoticed. I’ve been coming here for over a decade and she’s always stood out among anyone else back there.“

“My wife and I had a wonderful dining experience. The lamb chop special appetizer was delicious. Our entrees were fresh and tasty. We had the salmon and the red snapper special - brilliantly prepared by our chef. And dessert - oh my, must try the pistachio crème brûlée. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. It was a perfect evening for dinner. We will be back!“

“Wow, what a great restaurant ?
This was our first time here and we were blown away with how wonderful EVERYTHING was.
We went here for the wife's birthday and they had set up a special table just for the two of us.
Whoever designed the decor did a great job with the colors, etc. They made one completely forget about the surrounding neighborhood. While it's not a bad area, it's just not really picturesque by any means.
Wonderful fresh rolls and a super pesto spread started the meal. Next I had a mushroom soup to die for and definitely unlike any other I have had before.
For dinner, my wife had the pork chop which was delicious and cooked perfectly. I had the short ribs with a light brown sauce, mushrooms, spinach and mashed potatoes, which was great, to say the least.
We shared the First "mounds" which was vanilla ice cream, dark chocolate and coconut and should not be missed. Lastly I want to mention that the waiter and the rest of the wait staff were all courteous, accommodating and very professional. We felt that they were among the best we have encountered in our area by far.
We will definitely be dining here again in the coming weeks and I would suggest that anyone living in Bergen county or northern NJ should do the same. EXCELLENT ?

The sea bass was cooked perfectly and the skin was so crispy, a first for me as I've never had fish skin before. Others had the filet mignon which was also cooked to perfection. “Excellent, a close place to grab halal food. Tried gyro and falafel platter. Rice was cumin forward, gyro lots of flavor and falafel crunch but soft on the inside. Falafel is spiced a little bit differently, not overly vegetal. White and red sauce available too. Will be go-to lunch place. Prices are average but portion is decently sized. Dining tables inside too.“

It’s a BYBO, especially for brunch Ali and her mom do outstanding job of cooking and servicing their clients. The staff is respectful and always attentive. If you’re in Hohokus stop by Just Janice. “We have been shopping here as our main grocery store pretty much since it opened. While it is a smaller Whole Foods, it tends to have a good stock of a good variety of items, both fresh and packaged. It is generally clean (with one exception, see below) and most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is an Amazon Locker here, so you can get your Amazon packages delivered to this locker, do your shopping, and then pick up your package all in one trip. There are a two issues I very much wish they would fix. For one thing, the restrooms are consistently not clean. This is a suburban store and doesn't get the volume of customers that an NYC store gets, but they don't seem to be able to keep the restrooms in good order. My other issue has to do with what they choose to stock in a couple of categories. The first is orange juice. I always look for organic orange juice not in a clear container (so as not to compromise Vitamin C). I just want organic orange juice in an opaque container the way it comes -- not pulp-free, not extra-pulp, not with Vitamin D added, etc. They never stock this. My other stocking issue has to do with ice cream. They have all kinds of interesting flavors, several kinds of dairy-free options, etc. but I just want a pint of premium, organic vanilla ice cream, straight up. This can sometimes be found but often they don't have it on the shelf even though they carry all kinds of great brands that would offer it. If only this store remedied these two issues, they'd be five stars for sure!“

“The staff were all so very kind. They came to wish my husband a happy birthday. Our waiter was patient and funny. Both of my kids were in a terrible mood until they ate their food which was amazing (skirt steak and Caesar salad with salmon), so that perked them up. My husband and I had scallops which were perfectly cooked and very tasty! Last, everyone ordered a yummy dessert and ate every last bite (puddin', pannacotta, and cheesecake - everything was tasty). “Patrick and his staff were amazing, as always. His daughters work with him and assist in Ensuring everything is running smoothly. Patrick does his very best never to lose a customer. I have noticed this on many many occasions, he is gracious and although a group may have walking on a Saturday pm @ 7 demanding a table, Patrick always manages to keep everyone happy and satisfy everyone's requests. It is an art and very obvious he has been in the hospitality industry, in management levels for quite some time. He is an asset to F&O, and all of Upper Saddle River patrons or those that have been to F@O speak so highly of Patrick, and enjoys being there on days they know he is working. He keeps a tight eye on tables and guests and ensures people are well taken care of.“
