“So I just had iftaar with their tikka paratha roll that I had got last Sunday evening. It just tasted so good even though I ate it cold straight from the fridge. 😊 It didn't taste as good when I had ordered it on site. Then, without me even asking for anything, they remade it and gave it to me to take it home with me even though I had told them I was full. 😊😊 The largest portions I have ever seen anywhere, good food, clean, best interior and decor, excellent service. I have yet to see a BETTER or even equally nice place in NYC. 🤍 Jo baat hay. Food makes/breaks the mood.“

“The food and prices are very decent and the person at the counter are very nice all the time. I buy food every weekend and never had any stomach problems like other places that get you sick because of the place not being clean properly. So far I give them an A+.“

The flavourful meats with fresh veggies and feta, with or without sauces, all combined with the unique bread is a great new dinning experience unlike anything else. Since I’ve moved to JC (which I know is only across the river, but the food scene really is different), I have yet to find my go-to halal spot… until now! I paid $10 for a chicken over rice. The chicken was so juicy and they were very generous with the chicken and sauce. So delicious but also so dangerous that I’m so close by“

“The halal combo here is up there with some of the best halal carts in the city. It’s my go-to option here in East Harlem (as well as their chicken loaded fries). They recently went through some renovations/branding changes so the atmosphere here is nice. The staff are also very friendly.“

“I’m visiting NJ (lived here for a long time) and wanted to eat some of my favorite foods. I ordered dinner from port of peri peri and it was perfectly cooked but missing my fries. I let that be known to the restaurant and received a small refund. Next night, I ordered dinner again and I received a large order of fries on the house as well as a discount card for 5% for dine in orders valid for one more week. Amazing customer service. “I’ve tried over a dozen Halal carts in the city, and this one has by far the best chicken over rice. Once you try it, you’ll go out of your way to come here every time you crave halal.

The chicken is juicy and always perfectly flavored and cooked. All ingredients are fresh. The sauces are great, and the red sauce is VERY spicy (love it)

The folks running it are super friendly and the cart is kept clean.
