“I was looking online for a Chinese food place with great reviews when I first heard of Bamboo House. It’s only been a few times that I’ve been able to stop in since I don’t live close, but whenever I’m in Ridgewood, I like to get something to eat here. It’s tough to find a truly great Chinese restaurant & this place lives up to the hype. The portions are generous, the dishes are saucy & flavorful & fresh. What really seals the deal for me though is the service; they are kind & friendly in a warm, sincere way. Bamboo House has been in business for a long time, for good reason. 10/10“

“I came here for lunch with my swim team and everything was amazing. The atmosphere, the service, the company, and the food. It’s like a Chinese style Chipotle, where you can customize your own bowl or try a signature dish. The staff was super friendly and the artwork on the wall was eye catching. Would recommend coming here! The only thing is it’s a little pricey and if you want to add meat or seafood to your bowl it costs a few cents extra.“

“Little disappointed at this place. Saw they had Crispy Beef with Fresh Honey Walnuts Beef with a bed of steamed broccoli in a sweet brown sauce topped with sugared walnuts. Not crispy as from can see in pic. Was this really beef also? Walnuts were plain as well.Steamed Spinach Dumplings were a bit dry . Hunan Dumplings Spinach and beef dumplings topped with spicy peanut sauce. Spicy. I got not spicy but were very good. Would I try again. Yes think I would.“

“Fantastic food and service. This is exactly like the food I enjoyed at similar Chinese lamb skewer restaurants in Korea. I went in expecting to have to use Korean because a few reviews said no one speaks English, but instead I encountered non Korean servers and had to use English. They also spoke Spanish. There are menus available in Chinese, Korean, and English. You can get served here regardless of language. I highly recommend if you want something different from typical Korean barbecue. It’s also BYOB.“

“I haven’t eaten such authentic Hunan cuisine in a long time! The boss is from Zhangjiajie and the homemade wine is delicious! The pickled radish in the "soy skin" hot pot is also delicious and the beef is very tasty. I wish the boss a prosperous business!“

“We ordered like 5 or 6 things. Everything was very good to excellent. Essentially the same quality as Soup Dumpling plus, a smaller menu/seating, but nowhere near the same crowd. Service is very good, we love the manager! You cant find better soup dumplings than here in this area without having to wait. Everything all homemade and legit authentic. Their spicy szechuan dumplings are the best you can find in NJ and they offer rare and delicious sauteed snow pea leaves and watercress... Their crab/pork soup dumplings are slighty larger but have a thin chewy wrapper, lots of broth - are phenomenal.“

“Came here for lunch, they have a lunch special Monday-Saturday 11am-3pm. I had the general Tso chicken. Overall my food was good. It was spicy, fresh, and flavorful. The restaurant is clean and tidy, although, they should make it look prettier with some Chinese decor. Food was served fast. No complaints or issues. I would recommend this restaurant.“

“I've lived in Fair Lawn my whole life and never visited up until a couple months ago. I went to a place in Saddle Brook which is also great. But that place was closed on a Monday so I came to Great Wall. Very happy. Reasonably priced and delicious. NOT SALTY! I can't tell you the difference in the quality of food. “Walked in and ordered a large chicken and broccoli rice. Total was $13.06 plus tax.It was packed with food and the rice was separated which I kinda appreciated bc I got a value for my meal. If you’re new to the area and trying to find your Chinese food spot, definitely give this one a try. We ordered Wonton soup, General Tso combo with pork fried rice, wings combo with house special fried rice, boneless spareribs, and egg rolls. To me the wonton soup was perfect, not super salty like you get from other places, and the wontons were hearty and tasty. The general tso combo was the perfect amount of food, it made two meals for me and had the perfect amount of spice for me as it’s normally made. If you like spicier you could probably request that. My husband loved the wings and the house special fried rice. The boneless spareribs were really really good, I’ve ordered them from other places and there’s always an after taste, here they’re cooked perfectly. The only thing we noticed was the egg rolls did seem to be a bit oily inside, but other than that also very tasty.“

“Great delicious chinese food I had pork fried rice and General Chaos Chicken with wonton soup and an egg roll . Everything was very good as far as the food . The bathroom was smelling like mold and area where you eat was ok atmosphere not great but food was great . Service was good lady brought our food to the table which was nice of her. its not a place where they have waitresses its order at the counter only to go or eat in . Place is open later than most restaurants in the area too and alot of parking on the street.“

“The BEST tasting take-out joint. And if you're looking for extra spicy/hot food, they know how to hit the spot. Being a vegetarian, I always order Vegetable Lo Mein with Fried Tofu and Vegetable Fried Rice with Fried Tofu. I ask to make it extra spicy and it's so delicious!!

“I can’t say enough about this place. We have been ordering from them for 25 years. Never ever had a problem. Food is always great. We usually pick it up but get delivery every so often. The food comes so fast it’s unbelievable! And they are great about diet restrictions too!

I moved out of Passaic and they don’t deliver to my area now but the food is worth the drive so I keep coming back once in awhile on my days off. Plus the staff is very nice and friendly. “It's the only Chinese food restaurant i order from. Recommend getting their chicken wings and chicken and broccoli with pork fried rice. One thing I should mention from time to time they might accidentally forget to put hot sauce or forks but as long as you remember to mention it or take a quick check before you leave. “The food at this Chinese restaurant is super good. I recently moved to Fairfield and needed to find a good spot for Chinese takeout out. So, I tried joy wok. I ordered sesame chicken combo and the Mongolian beef. They were both super good. I don’t normally like my sesame chicken a little spicy and they made it just right for me.
The customer service is also great. I had accidentally ordered white rice with the Mongolian beef and when I picked up my order they switched it to fried rice right away with no extra charge. Everyone there is super nice. Definitely recommend if you are in the area in search of a good Chinese spot.“

“I have ordered from here several times and it’s always been pretty tasty. Today I ordered to work and upon delivery I got chicken instead of beef with broccoli. I called and they told me that they would fix my order a little later when the driver has a nearby delivery. I wasn’t sure wether or not I’d get my dish, but eventually they did come and swap the dish….not something you can take for granted these days when gas prices are through the roof. So tasty food and great service. I highly recommend east wok and will order from them again for sure :-)“

Everything was delicious, had great flavors and nothing was too oily.
