“Wait staff was friendly and you were not pushed to finish dinner. We had the shrimp po' boy and the grilled ribeye open face steak sandwich. I asked for my French fries to be extra crispy and they were delicious. After driving for almost 5 hours, sitting in rush hour traffic and construction, this diner made our day and on a really great note.“

“Here's the review Spencer wrote for you: My family and I just visited to celebrate my grandsons birthday- we like to get a bunch of plates and share family style and this menu was perfect for that. You have to get mezze and extra bread (must try the kubane). We also ended up getting three orders of the shishbarak for the six of us, it is way too good! I got the salmon for my entree which was cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned. Spencer our server recommended the silan and the cheesecake for dessert so we shared those and boy were they something special- I can’t pick a favorite! He brought us a candle and we got some great pictures. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.“

“First, I need to preface this was a Thanksgiving dinner. It is almost always the case that holiday dinners (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Eve etc) there is a usual penalty the diner takes in quality and elevated price. It is not a criticism of Empire Steak House, just how things work in the industry to set the context.\n\nWith that stated and considered, the overall meal was better than I expected. My only real criticism regarding the food was the pumpkin soup was a little thin. \n\nWe each had filet mignon. They were well prepared and of good quantity and quality. Staff were accommodating and friendly. We even received a little complimentary port after dessert, which was a nice gesture. \n\nWe had the set Thanksgiving menu which gave you multiple choices for starter, principal plate, and dessert. We had the pumpkin soup and calamari to start (see prior comments on the soup. The fried calamari was fine). We both found the vegetables well prepared that went with our steaks. For dessert, the pumpkin pie was tasty and well portioned along with the sorbet.\n\nIn addition to the above food, we had three glasses of wine. The total price with tax and 20% tip was $365. All in all this was a good value. We may return. Even though we generally don't go out for steak very often, this may be a safer bet in the theater district since the ingredients at Empire Steak House seem to be of good quality and charming service.“

Each dish had its own layer of perfection with unique flavors and exquisite presentation. I’d say a restaurant on its way to becoming Michelin…..bravo! “We had a great dinner tonight at Happy Vegans. We were greeted warmly and offered a taste of their special dish kofta, which is a delicious mix of spices, tomato and bulgur. I had the happy vegan burger which was huge with three patties made from kofka, lettuce tomatoes and a large serving of fries. We were given mayonnaise and ketchup to dip the fries in. Baklava for dessert. I highly recommend this charming restaurant. Easy street parking.“

“I don't live near a good Chinese restaurant anymore (in my area the Chinese is all low-end take-out places with barely any vegan options) and the vast menu at Ginger Root was a delight. We loved everything we tried, including mushroom dumplings, fried king oyster mushrooms, cold green tea noodles, beef chow fun, sauteed baby bok choi, and the chocolate peanut butter bundt cake. Wish we lived nearby so we could try everything!!!“

“After eating so much (pizza etc )we needed to eat something different, spicy and booked this gem,as it as near to our hotel. It was also our 40th wedding anniversary. We are from U.K. This was amazing perfectly cooked tasty home made authentic Indian cuisine. We had mocktails ( lavender was refreshing ). The tandoori lamb chops x4 were full meat seasoned beautifully and delicious. All other sides perfect too. Now in U.K. we hate restaurant Indian puddings they are usually bought in and awful/failure. After finding out the chef is the owner and a recipient Michelin star we were convinced to stay,try and this was the first time we have had authentic home made puddings; try Kulfi with rose water & also Indian rice pudding. The whole meal was exceptional great value and we will recommend this restaurant to anyone else visiting New York. Easy to find off Times Square /Broadway. “We finally got to check this place out when in the area for a book signing. OMG... EVERYTHING was so delicious. It's all slightly under-seasoned, which is typical of restaurants to remain more neutral, but easily remedied. I was just beyond thankful for all the gluten-free options and versions of the non-gf offerings. I had the gluten-free Country Fried Chick’n, w White Gravy Bowl, Chick'n Parm Hero, and Buffalo Chik'n Mac n Cheese. All of them were SO good and well-made. The sandwich needed no seasoning, but the white gravy was lacking salt and pepper and the mac n cheese was a bit dry and needed more buffalo sauce. Thankfully, I had some extra cheese sauce and buffalo sauce at home. I may have to buy extra cheese sauce from there next time we order. All of the flavors I wanted were there, overall. My husband had the regular versions of the Sausage, Peppers & Onions Hero, Kielbasa and Sauerkraut Hero w mustard, Cheesesteak Empanadas, and Corn Bread. He couldn't say enough good things about the sausage sandwiches and declared them the best he's had post AND pre-vegan! He loved the empanadas so much he's going to grab a cheesesteak sub next time. He described the cornbread as fluffy, flavorful, and one of the best he's had. He sliced it in half and topped it with some chili the next day. It took us a few days to get through it all, but it was so worth the big order. I wish there was some tables so you could enjoy it hot and fresh, but it was a nice night and we got some air as we ate outside. The owner was very kind and obviously puts a lot of love and effort into his food. It's 45 minutes away without traffic, but we'll definitely make this a destination from time to time. Absolutely worth it!“

“I stopped by Venchi Chocolate Place and had an amazing experience. I want to give a special shoutout to Gina — she was super helpful, super sweet, and incredibly patient. I didn’t know what to choose, and she guided me through everything with such a friendly attitude.

She recommended a few chocolates, including the pistachio one, and wow… I absolutely loved it.
The chocolates here are top-quality, but Gina’s service made the visit even better.
