“Was there last night celebrating a friend’s birthday and we all had a time. The food was amazing, the music was fantastic, and the owner is the sweetest. The restaurant is fairly new so, when you walk in please be patient. It’s only the owner and one other woman working there at the moment, but I promise the wait is worth it! Sasha makes you feel a part of the community the moment you step foot inside her restaurant. You just have to be there to understand!“

“I walking into this restaurant looking for a quick but fresh lunch. The space was very clean and orderly. The staff is attentive and personable. I ordered a burrito with pernil, corn salsa, pickled red onions and cheese. As a side, I got the chickpea and cucumber salad. I really have to say I was very impressed with the freshness and flavor of the food without being over seasoned. Next time I will remember to write a review before I devour all the food. ?“

“The vibe is amazing as soon as you walk in. Staff is friendly to the T. Food's worth what you pay for, 8/10 in taste. Me and my girl go for dinner, a quick session at the bar or something to go. Overall, I vouch for Johnny's. No pictures because I'll be back.“

“The best ribs I have ever eaten in my life… I can't go to Perth Amboy without eating my favorite ribs there… and the service is unique and above all personal since it is direct from the owners… I recommend them 100%… change your way of thinking by eat their delicious, fresh and healthy 100% charcoal grills and the best thing is their low prices and the abundance of their dishes...“

“The Owner and Staff were so Kind, helpful and welcoming. The most welcomed I’ve ever felt in any restaurant! Ever. The Location is spotless clean, and you walk in and the smell of fresh Grilled Jerk Chickenhits you instantly.I Had the Oxtail meal as well as the Jerk wings! Both were so good!! & fresh!The jerk wings were Crispy and sauced very well! I also purchased a homemade strawberry Ginger drink, that was amazing as well. This was my first time, but I’ll definitely be back, the entire experience of this restaurant is just that! An amazing experience, even for takeout! “I went there today with my mom and dad and had a great lunch.They had the oxtails and I had the red snapper steam fish. Both dishes were delicious. Very authentic in seasoning and presentation of the meals. Made me feel like I was back home in jam down. Real yardy style. We were very satisfied and the owners were very warm and inviting.“

“I come to Y.U.P.P. just about every week and I have to say it’s one of my favorite places. The food is excellent, the drinks are great, and the staff is always very welcoming.My favorites are the YUPP Curry Chicken, Hearty Beef, and the Spicy Oxtail. I’m always on the go so this is the perfect lunch time meal to have. If you want an excellent patty and you want to hear some great music or even play PAC Man while you wait I highly recommend checking out YUPP! I also frequent both locations and I look forward to seeing the next location open.“

“We drove 40 mns to Bon Appétit Caribbean on a Saturday afternoon. I was not disappointed!Great customer service.The food was fresh, super delicious, i ordered a large duri Djondjon with chicken, they gave me enough food to feed 2 people. The macaroni salad was great, duri djondjon was awesome, and the chicken was well seasoned.The next day i went, i got again a large duri Djondjon and fried turkey, Once again, everything was DELICIOUS. If you're in Irvington or close by, this is one spot that I'd definitely recommend! They have REAL SEASONED HAITIAN FOOD“

It is so hard to find real authentic Jamaican food and a plus side to this is the service provided and atmosphere is always amazing! The place is clean and the owner is also very nice. They are very generous in the way they portion the food giving both quality and quantity. 1000000/10 highly recommend. The young lady serving the food is also such a sweetheart“

“This was our second time having dinner there. We had a great dining experience the first time which caused us to celebrate our wedding anniversary the second visit. They sat us in the same booth from our original visit which gave us the same server. She was excellent the first time as well as the second. The food was wonderful and the executive chef came out and introduced himself to us (nice touch). We plan on taking some friends with us the next time we go. Nice job Coco's!“

“The experience was outstanding! The waiter Ramell was amazing! He was super attentive and polite, also recommended things to our tasting. Truly a great experience! We also got to talk to the manager, Aisha, who welcomed us at our table to make sure everything was well. Overall this place is a 100000000/10. “I visited Sarrah's on a trip to NJ with my son and it was such a pleasant, happy experience! I felt like being at an aunt's house in Trinidad. Sarrah sat us down and served us her delicious doubles! She brought us an Apple J to go with it then kept checking on us to make sure we didn't need anything else. Her hospitality was impeccable and I was left with total admiration for the service and quality of Trinidadian food I received. I will definitely return.“

“An honor to eat food from this location and eat j*** chicken from here for the first time. The lady taking my order was incredibly gracious and helped inform me about the menu. The mac and cheese was great. The food was hot even through the bag so I knew it was fresh.“

“We visited the restaurant on New Years Eve, 12/31/20. We were greeted by very friendly staff and they took time to answer our questions about Caribbean cooking. We decided to order the Ox Tails and the Curried Goat. Both were incredibly good. The Ox Tails was served with rice with beans in it. The rice seemed to have a mild coconut flavor and there were two beans, one small and the other broad. Also served with it was a very nice steamed cabbage and sweet plantains. The cook on the plantains was great, with the plantains being cooked well but short of being mushy. Unlike other plantains we've had at other restaurants which were too oily, these weren't. Perhaps they were baked instead of deep fried. As to the Ox Tails themselves, there were probably about 10 segments of tail. They were in a very flavorful brown gravy and cooked to a nice fall off the bone texture. The Curried Goat was our favorite. It had many chunks of goat (with the bone) in a spicy curry sauce. Wow, it was good! It actually reminded us of the Curried Goat we've had in Indian restaurants. Like the Ox Tails the meat was very tender and fell off the bones. The rice that came with the goat was different than the Ox Tails. This rice was spicy with flavors similar to the sauce the goat was in. It also came with the cabbage and plantain side that the Ox Tail had. We also had their Macaroni and Cheese. It was baked in the store and cut to a serving size. Since it was cut, it maintained that nice cheesy crust on the top. The flavor was nice and cheesy and we enjoyed it. When we go back, we'll probably order sides of cabbage and plantains because they were so good and we wanted more than what came with the dinner. As we were waiting for our food, we noticed there was a lot of whole red snapper being purchased. One party had about 7 fish for their New Years Eve gathering. The fish looked nicely prepared, but unfortunately we haven't tried it yet. Next time, we hope. So in summary, we really enjoyed Sashey's Kitchen and will be returning multiple times.“

“Drove about 25 minutes just to get some chicken roti. Decided to try this place based off the reviews and I am so glad we did. The food here was so tasty, fresh, and cooked with so much flavor. The service was good, it seems to be family- oriented. I would call ahead if you don't want to wait too long. They have a table inside but I would recommend to take the food to go. Definitely will be coming here again and hopefully trying the stew chicken!!!!!“

“Really good flavor kind customer service and really quick to get me out the door. I got one large order of oxtail and one small curry chicken, their portions are a good size and you get bang for your buck (also updating my review years later) got their curry goat and oxtail this time. The consistency remained. My DoorDash order arrived still hot and tender. Definitely recommend“

Grant it this is my first time eating at this restaurant (at work and needed something to eat and it was across the street) but this cabbage and carrots (has a light sweet-spice) taste like gold. “Minus one star for the hairs kind of a turn off (gross) but hey doesn’t get any fresher than that as if they killed it in the back lol… good food tho I was recommended by a customer and this is my honest review. You walk in it def old school vibes the smell of burnt smoky goodness! The pork was good the sauce was good. They have huge amounts of chopped meat in the back on the bone which was cool! I also had the bread pudding but ehh hard pass.. definately one of a kind place everyone should visit all the restaurants over 4.0 ratings in east orange it means they are doing something right!“

“The cook was so nice, I asked, "Do you have any vegetarian dishes?" She replied, "No" but she put a few things together for me because it was close to closing time. The food was very delicious! I didn't expect the carrots and green beans to be soft and flavorful, especially the mashed potatoes.“
