“I literally just ordered from here; the diri djoun djoun with fried chicken and a side of macaroni au gratin…. They also gave a fresh side green salad. Out of the whole meal my favs were the fried chicken(well down like I like it) the diri djoun djoun was bomb!!! And the salad was soooo fresh and delicious. TO ME AND I SAY TO ME cause everyone’s taste buds are different I didn’t like the macaroni au gratin too much cause one it had ground beef or turkey in it hard to tell being that it was well marinated into the macaroni au gratin and also in my opinion it was a lil dry (once again this is my opinion cause some might find it to be just right, whereas I like that oily and fattening macaroni au gratin taste). “I was nearby and decided to Google a Jamaican restaurant. Holland Bay did not disappoint. Right now, they are only doing take out but that's totally fine because it's a small place anyway. I ordered oxtail with rice and peas, and jerk chicken with rice and peas. He even let me try the spinach, which was so delicious and got me regretting not ordering any today. My orders came with three sauces, all of which were very yummy. I got a chicken patty because it wasn't spicy and it was $3.00 the coco bread was $1.00. The beard to the patty was nice and flacky but wasn't falling all over the place it had a decent amount of filling and the coco bread had a nice fresh taste to it, the only issue I have was I tasted more of the coco bread and the outside of the patty more than I tasted the filling of the patty there wasn't much flavor to it.“

“We visited the restaurant on New Years Eve, 12/31/20. We were greeted by very friendly staff and they took time to answer our questions about Caribbean cooking. We decided to order the Ox Tails and the Curried Goat. Both were incredibly good. The Ox Tails was served with rice with beans in it. The rice seemed to have a mild coconut flavor and there were two beans, one small and the other broad. Also served with it was a very nice steamed cabbage and sweet plantains. The cook on the plantains was great, with the plantains being cooked well but short of being mushy. Unlike other plantains we've had at other restaurants which were too oily, these weren't. Perhaps they were baked instead of deep fried. As to the Ox Tails themselves, there were probably about 10 segments of tail. They were in a very flavorful brown gravy and cooked to a nice fall off the bone texture. The Curried Goat was our favorite. It had many chunks of goat (with the bone) in a spicy curry sauce. Wow, it was good! It actually reminded us of the Curried Goat we've had in Indian restaurants. Like the Ox Tails the meat was very tender and fell off the bones. The rice that came with the goat was different than the Ox Tails. This rice was spicy with flavors similar to the sauce the goat was in. It also came with the cabbage and plantain side that the Ox Tail had. We also had their Macaroni and Cheese. It was baked in the store and cut to a serving size. Since it was cut, it maintained that nice cheesy crust on the top. The flavor was nice and cheesy and we enjoyed it. When we go back, we'll probably order sides of cabbage and plantains because they were so good and we wanted more than what came with the dinner. As we were waiting for our food, we noticed there was a lot of whole red snapper being purchased. One party had about 7 fish for their New Years Eve gathering. The fish looked nicely prepared, but unfortunately we haven't tried it yet. Next time, we hope. So in summary, we really enjoyed Sashey's Kitchen and will be returning multiple times.“

For the doubles, you'll want to check the boxes for the pepper and tamarind sauces. One negative review complains about the amount of salt fish in the bake. I thought this was a brilliant sandwich. The cabbage and other vegetable items indeed have more surface area but everything was in harmony. I'll remind you that Hannibal Lecter was only in The Silence Of The Lambs for 16 minutes.“

I left a surgery and decided to go to lunch with my friend to eat since we both didn’t eat… the place was busy but there was enough staff too help with the whole place. When I tell you we sat down with soda and waited about an hour for our food and ir was ICE COLD .. mind you.. the food is ready in heated pans. I asked for warmer food she took the food and NEVER brought it back I was sitting there watching my friend eat . We asked for 2 empanadas and the empanadas were hard and definitely not fresh they were so disgusting. We ALWAYS come here this was such horrible service and we will not be coming back. I should of took a picture of how hard and old the empanadas were. We were starving and ate them anyway. Again out of surgery starving. Unbelievable seriously“
