“After visiting Marie’s for lunch one Saturday afternoon, we decided to have her do the catering for our son’s graduation party. When we had lunch there, the food was simply spectacular - you could taste the care it was made it. The jerk chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender and juicy. The rice and peas were perfect, the cabbage surprised me because I wouldn’t have asked for it to be added to my plate but I’m so glad it was because now I’m forever a fan of her cabbage side dish. The sweet plantains were SO GOOD! The patties she makes have a dough that is flaky and SUPER tasty - they were a hit at the party. I have never tasted catering this delicious - Jamaican food or otherwise. Hands down the best. We will be back. Highly recommend!“

“Whomever is cooking the food at this golden crust is amazing!!! Over the years the golden crust’s Brooklyn to Jersey the food salty & dry. This Plainfield NJ location is CONSISTENTLY cooking good food. When the steamed cabbage sliced up thin I know it’s going to be good. Oxtails sooo good not full of sugar and salt. The fried fish always good. Today had a curry chicken roti. So good!!! Also sliced into my Easter bun and cheese before Sunday. Fresh fresh fresh!!! This location is not close to me but worth the drive!!! One Love!!!“

“came across this little gem while working in the area. Did a handy little google search & came across Tierra Mia. I am glad I tried it. The restaurant itself is large enough, very clean looking and visually pleasing. The waitress was very sweet and was on top of her service, without hovering. The food though…oh my goodness! I ordered the Compańado, with the bistec encebollado (steak w/onions), which came with white rice, black beans, egg salad, sweet plantains & fried egg. I paid what I would consider pricey for a lunch portion ($20), but that is not a complaint considering the portion & variety the dish offered. The size was generous and the flavor was deliciously on point. I highly recommend Tierra Mia for anyone in the area or anyone looking for delicious Spanish food!“

“Stopped by during the Rahway Arts Festival. Fantastic food!!! Fresh, flavorful and delicious! I had the fried fish and my daughter had the curry chicken empanadas. She later went back to get the Jerk Chicken empanadas. Highly recommend!“

“I visited Sashey's for the first time on April 23 and I must say the food I ordered (curry goat with rice and peas and a brown stew fish) was excellent! In addition, the customer service was on point. I definitely will return again. Take my word, if you want good, authentic Jamaican food, Sashey's is the place.“

“I usually go early morning so its not too crowded, love the pastelitos, I think these are my favorites from the whole array of restaurants on my way to the train station lol also love the pupusas revueltas (the salsita roja needs a lil work tho), also they had taquitos -similar to Mexican flautas, which were reaaally good!
The girls are super nice and attentive -you can see them working hard making pupusas right in front of you- and this place is always clean (including the restroom)“

“The jerk chicken platter is the best. I've tried many different spots in DC/MD and NJ, but Cool Runnin's jerk chicken is top. The location right on Easton ave is tough to find parking and I wish they were on doordash or one of the other delivery services.“

“I had lunch at Caribbean Café while on jury duty next door. I ordered the pollo guisado with white rice and kidney beans. The food was excellent—very flavorful and cooked perfectly.
