“Auntie Ann's usually earns a five-star rating from me, but I'm compelled to raise a serious concern about this particular location inside Walmart, where I've enjoyed their pretzels for years. Recently, over the last two months, I've noticed a soapy taste to the pretzels. This isn't a one-off; it's happened more than once, and my palate is quite sensitive—I can discern individual ingredients in my food. Could someone from this store or from Auntie Ann's corporate office please investigate? I wouldn't normally take the time to write about this, but it's become distressing as it's now affecting my enjoyment of what used to be a favorite treat.“

“I love the food here. But i went there tonight around 730 and it was frigid outside. Just as we were sitting down to eat our food the worker decided to open the doors to carry all the outdoor furniture in then kept them open while he changed trash outside too. Not a care in the world for how freezing it was for his customers. It was extremely disappointing. We drive like 25 minutes to eat here. May be a while before we do that again.“

“I’m obsessed! Found this bakery on too good to go & took a ride over (from jersey) I came home with 4 different flavors of the banana pudding & my 16 year old and I tried each one. I can’t even pick a favorite because they are all so good. The Magic flavor name makes complete sense when you take a bite because different flavors seem to magically appear in your mouth (peanut butter being the last to hit…) hard to explain but if you taste it, it will make sense! I got 2 large puddings in my order than bought 2 different small ones in different flavors & i regret not getting the 2 extra cups in large! Driving in Philly stresses me out but I’ve never wanted to drive back over there so bad! For more pudding! I will be recommending this bake shop to everyone! The guy behind the counter was super nice & welcoming and helped me pick out some favorites. It’s a nice Friendly shop with amazing puddings & I will definitely be back!“

I recommend their breakfast sandwich, quiche, and literally any pastry (donuts and tahini blondie stand out). Their savory danishes are incredible as well. And the bread of course. I stopped by Mayflower Bakery & Cafe while I was in Chinatown and I’m so glad I did. The pastry case was packed with options and everything looked super fresh. I grabbed a pineapple bun, a roast pork bun, and a coconut tart, and honestly all three were delicious. The buns were soft and fluffy, the fillings tasted fresh, and the coconut tart was perfectly sweet without being over the top. I also ordered a Vietnamese-style coffee, which was strong and smooth and paired perfectly with the pastries.

The place itself is small and simple, but the staff were really friendly and even offered to warm up my pastries, which made them taste even better. Prices are very reasonable, so you can try a bunch of different things without breaking the bank. Overall, it’s the kind of spot I’d happily come back to whenever I’m in the area, tasty food, good coffee, and a welcoming vibe.“

“I have never been to the storefront, but I have gotten various things from them several times at the East Falls and Fairmount farmers markets. Their cheesecake bars are absolutely the best bar of any kind I've ever had, I can't even describe them properly to do them justice, but it's insane to me that so few reviewers mentioned them (must be because their sandwiches are THAT good--I will have to go to the shop to try one apparently!). Their focaccia bread is also the fluffiest, spongiest, freshest bread I've tasted, and can easily be eaten plain by itself. Their chocolate cake is perfect--rich chocolate flavor and not too sweet. So I wholeheartedly recommend trying pretty anything they make!“

“This is classic South Philly - big ol oven built into the wall , multi generation family operation , such a cool spot. I went for my first time and the owner Steve could tell I was into bread and pizza and history and stuff and invited me back to check out how he bakes everything and showed me all the old machines, the mixer, the dough separator. I haven’t had an experience like this visiting a food establishment in ages . The pride and labor of love Steve has for this are evident in all he does. His colleague Albin was awesome too! “I LOVE and 100% recommend The Famous 4th Street Cookie Company! Someone had their cookies mailed to me as a sympathy gift back in 2021. Since then, I myself have sent them to so many family and friends. Here are my top reasons for loving this company: 1. Their chocolate chip cookies are seriously so amazing! (and I am very particular about my chocolate chip cookies), 2. Their service is amazing! They respond to emails and phone messages really quickly and do what they can to help, 3. They are military friendly - whenever I need to ship to my nephew's military base in Alaska (which is very hard to get companies to deliver to by the way), they always help me out, get the shipping done quickly, and are super helpful. When my nephew gets the cookies in Alaska, they are always amazing. This is a great company that I will continue to use to send friends and family delicious gifts.“

“My teen is obsessed with the cookies of the week at Crumbl . Our love language is food and I'd do anything to see my girl smile so this location and all it offers is our favorite Crumbl. The staff is kind ( even in mad rushes- like the 2 hour wait for their birthday a few weeks ago) The staff is mostly teens and I’m impressed with their ability to run it as uniformly as they do.
I usually wait in the car while my daughter runs in, so I’ve never ordered. The staff was helpful picking flavors and showing me the ropes of ordering. We will be back again soon!“

“If you try the cookies at Downtown Cookies and say they aren’t the most delicious things you’ve ever eaten you can’t be telling the truth! Morgan and her bakers are artists with these cookies. These are massive, dense, delectable cookies with some classic and some unique flavors that Morgan has added her own flair to. She does a flavor of the month which are always on theme for a nearby holiday and they are so fun and absolute works of art. For our wedding, Morgan did an assortment of 5 cookie flavors of our choosing, plastic wrapped each, and then packaged them in individual boxes with ribbons of our color choice (to match our theme!) and then she made stickers and adorned them to each box. It was service beyond what I expected and the presentation was immaculate. We had the cookies placed at each table setting to ensure guests wouldn’t forget their favors and, walking around at our reception, we noticed more than a few cookie boxes had already been opened and sampled before the night’s conclusion. Couldn’t even blame them! Having been set on edible favors, we’re so glad we chose Morgan and Downtown Cookies to bring a sweet end to our special day.“

“We used Ramona Susan's for cupcakes for our wedding! Setting up a tasting was easy, and once we'd decided what we wanted the ordering was easy too. Several of our guests had specific dietary restrictions (celiac, dairy allergy, soy allergy, etc) and Ramona Susan's did a great job making individualized and clearly marked cupcakes for those folks in separate containers without any cross contamination. Everyone was happy, many people had more than one cupcake, and my new spouse and I were glad to eat the few left over 😁 we got classic wedding white cake cupcakes with vanilla frosting, red velvet with cream cheese frosting, and pumpkin cupcakes with spiced frosting. During our tasting we found we didn't really enjoy their buttercream; it was a little oily and bland for our tastes. The vegan soy frosting however was delicious so we went with that!“
