“This is our fourth visit to I Gemelli. We had not been here for about a year because our last two meals were only OK. This is a BYOB so bring a bottle. What a difference a year makes. The food was excellent. We ordered the Portabello alla Griglia - a portabello mushroom served over thinly sliced potatoes. I had the Pollo Saporito - sauteed pieces of chicken on the bone in a white wine sauce with sun-dried tomatoes and capers. The pignoli nuts added a lot of flavor to the dish. Service was wonderful too. The waiter took the time to explain the specials and answered all of our questions. We will be returning.“

“Had to leave a review - excellent meal! Burger was homemade and not a thawed out patty from a food supply box - even the tomato was freshly cut and juicy. The apple pie and coffee were perfect. My five-year old loved her burger and fries! Also - great attention to little ones here - very sweet staff. Would absolutely eat here again with my family.“

“We staying at the Hilton Hasbrouck Heights/ Meadowlands and Foodies Diner is about 1 miles from the hotel. Cute little place. My Wife and I we like th atmosphere. This is our first time here for breakfast. We order Greek omelet and Fruitie tuitty fresh toaste with 2 coffees. The fresh toast is very good but the omelet need more meat in it. “Great Italian food and a decent menu, not much choice but not too much. It's located next to Post Office 34 and is very trendy. The view and service are great, but it's noisy as there isn't much to absorb the sound. We ordered focaccia, roasted peppers and pasta. Everything is great and super fresh.“

“Ordered a pepperoni and the truffle cashew cream. I enjoyed the truffle pizza more. Ordered via UberEATS and unfortunately the delivery guy put my pizza in a backpack vertically. This of course made the pizza look like a mess. Still good though.“

“The Japanese and Italian flavors mixed well and are to come back for. I stayed in the hotel where the restraunt was attached. In the area, with a focus of cocktails and table service for an upscale environment, it was delightful.

I love cocktails, and the servers were personable. Nothing pretentious. They focus on service and taste! Our food was excellent and the drinks were even better. It's a pleasant experience.“

“This was a fantastic experience! From the moment we stepped inside, the staff was courteous, engaging, helpful and knowledgeable. We had a party of 3, and ordered 6 dishes. Each dish came out as it was made and each dish was absolutely delicious. A person in our party had a gluten allergy which was no problem and accommodated with ease. We come to NY every year and this will absolutely be a place we revisit again and again! Vegans, vegetarians and omnivores alike will appreciate the dishes and be amazed with the taste! Each dish had its own layer of perfection with unique flavors and exquisite presentation. I’d say a restaurant on its way to becoming Michelin…..bravo! “Here's the review Spencer wrote for you: My family and I just visited to celebrate my grandsons birthday- we like to get a bunch of plates and share family style and this menu was perfect for that. You have to get mezze and extra bread (must try the kubane). We also ended up getting three orders of the shishbarak for the six of us, it is way too good! I got the salmon for my entree which was cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned. Spencer our server recommended the silan and the cheesecake for dessert so we shared those and boy were they something special- I can’t pick a favorite! He brought us a candle and we got some great pictures. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.“

“I typically avoid writing restaurant critiques, given my years of experience in the industry. However, my recent visit to Gramercy Tavern compelled me to share my thoughts due to the disappointing experience. I was excited to dine at the bar after waiting half an hour for a seat. I ordered my usual drink, appetizer, and main dish, knowing the restaurant’s reputation for excellence. However, things took a turn when I stepped away to use the restroom. During that brief moment, my belongings—two bags—were removed and given to the coat check staff without my knowledge. When I returned, I was unceremoniously escorted to the exit, which left me confused and uncomfortable. At the reception, I tried to express my concerns, but the staff was dismissive. I requested to speak with a manager, but the coat check attendant firmly stated there was nothing to discuss and closed the door in my face. This treatment was not only unprofessional but also disheartening, especially after spending $145 on my meal. It’s unfortunate that a great dining experience was overshadowed by poor service and a lack of accountability. I hope the management reviews this situation to prevent it from happening to others in the future.“

“Because of the many options, it was very hard to decide. We had the Philadelphia Roll (not on the pics), Chefs choice Roll, Sweet BBQ pork bun and pancake combo. The kimchi pancakes were labelled spicy, but really are not! We liked everything, the least the Chefs choice Roll. The sizes were as expected, but for lunch fine. Really nice staff, and nice atmosphere. Highly recommended (but pricy).“

“I have to say this restaurant was absolutely delicious!! So glad we tried the only Mexican Michelin star in New York!!!

We went here for our anniversary and were very pleased! Our reservation was for 9 and our table was ready exactly at that time.  Service was fantastic! Our waiter was really friendly and very knowledgeable about all the food items.  He answered all of our questions about flavors and portion sizes quite thoroughly which made our decisions easy!

Their tequila and mezcal varieties were very extensive and they had great cocktail options as well! For appetizers we decided to choose the smoked mangoes, tuna tostada, and the punta verde caesar.  All were so tasty and had such amazing flavor, we even ordered another tuna tostada!!  I would say we felt the mangoes were more of a snack/dessert and not an app but we were not mad about it at all because the smokiness they were able to get into the mangoes was amazing!

For the main course we went with the lamb and swordfish tacos (it comes with 2 each).  They are average sized, nothing too big or small especially since we ordered so many appetizers between the two of us!!  Both dishes were so flavorful!! I would highly recommend trying everything you have room for since the choices we made were bursting with so much flavor!

We chose the Oaxacan chocolate cake and the tres leches for dessert.  The cake and ice cream had a strong espresso flavor, maybe because I don't drink any coffee/espresso at all but it was still very tasty.

Overall this was a very affordable Michelin Star restaurant and we were extremely pleased with every aspect of our dining experience.  We would absolutely return to try more menu items and highly recommend paying them a visit if you are a fan of big, bold flavors!!

“Our server Katie, hands down the best person I have ever met, sis came over with the most energetic attitude, filled my water within 30 Seconds of me sitting down, she answered any questions I had about the menu (there were quite a few) she was so attentive and made this experience one of the best ones. “My most anticipated stop in nyc as I found this place months ago on instagram and it greatly exceeded my expectations! Every dish was exceptional. I got there and immediately ordered the green mango salad. I was recommended the tasting option which meant I got served 3 smaller portions of dishes from the menu picked by the chef. Each one that came out was a surprise! The first delicious one was the clay pot glass noodles, the second was the massaman curry, and then the pad Thai. Each dish had their own beautiful flavors. I was also served the black sticky rice with mango and banana. The rice was warm and the fruit was so perfectly ripe it was absolutely divine, don’t skip this dessert. 100/10“
