“A great experience with takeaway catered food.
While we have ordered from here several times, this weekend we had a birthday party where we served food from Bayleaf. I went in person on Wednesday and spoke with Terence who was tremendously helpful in suggesting amounts and taking our order. The order was ready as scheduled Saturday and everyone enjoyed the trays of food: biryani samosas sauces and naan- even provided serving tongs and spoons. It was an easy and delicious experience for self serve party food. Thank you to the BayLeaf restaurant! Highly recommend.“

The bowl base was filled with chilli paneer peaces (appetizer kind of thing) and above that was vegetable biryani.
I got 2 items for 1 price 😂.

“Came here for the first time- we’re Vegans, and sometimes it’s difficult to find an Indian restaurant that has many vegan options. The staff went out of their way to help us find the vegan options on the menu, and when they were out of some ingredients to make certain dishes (it’s Diwali, and so it’s a busy time of year) that featured mushrooms and tofu, they actually custom created a dish so that we could try more of what they have to offer. A great experience, and will definitely be coming back!

“We beat the rush. Cane in and ordered sat down and with in 15 mins had our food. There were those who ordered on line. The rush was so great some waited an hour before getting their order. We came in at 5:30. If you seriously need your order. Order between 5:00pm & 5:30pm or after 7pm. If you Can hold Out. LaZeez was that slammed. They with a full staff were that overwhelmed. Good food, great service. But choose your time in going. They only have so much room for flexibility. Maybe they need to buy the place next door and expand there kitchen?“

“During our trip through Staten Island, we stopped at Randi’s for a traditional Sri Lankan lunch, and it was a great find. They offer a lunch buffet with a nice variety of authentic Sri Lankan dishes, along with a selection of desserts.

The buffet is located on the second floor. Seating is somewhat limited, but we had no trouble finding a table. Every dish we tried was full of authentic flavor. My favorites were the beef stew, chicken curry, dhal curry, and the freshly made rolls and patties. They also had a small selection of Indian vada, which was a nice addition to the buffet.

The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for authentic Sri Lankan cuisine in the Staten Island area, Randi’s is definitely worth a visit. We’ll gladly stop by again the next time we’re in the area.“

“Okay, we've been coming to this truck since 2008 or so, when my son was a student at NJIT.I'm going to say that the best food here are the platters, especially the chicken platter; unfortunately my son insisted on the Samosa Tikki Sandwich. It was good, but the platters, with extra white sauce, and a sprinkle of red pepper, is worth the visit. Enjoyed the sandwich. The picture is only a fourth of the sandwich.“
