“Authentic Latin cuisine cooked by a native Dominican! Warmth, joy, and delicious food. I’ve been going for years and never leave hungry. Every time I visit the NYC/Jersey area it’s a stop on my list.Small business, family owned, local owned, POC owned, homemade, locally sourced ingredients, fresh food with vegan and vegetarian options available. “Review Update:It’s 8:21 am on 7/26/23, the hours on the store and online say they are open at 8am. Yet, here I am and it’s closed. This is a little frustrating as I have no idea when they will open and well, I have to get on with my day.Previous review below:Nice to have an African and Caribbean market in the area.It is very modern, clean, and well organized. Very friendly staff as well. They honestly have a plethora of items and is pretty well stocked- but I am taking off one point as I went on two different occasions (once for potato leaves and once for luncheon meat), they didn’t have either items. I was a bit disappointed because these are very standard items in African Markets.Besides that, great asset to the Teaneck area and looking forward to continue to patronize this business.“

“Its been a really really long time since I had Jamaican food that made me want to rate it. This place is really, really good. I had the curry goat and the minute I opened up my box I knew it was going to be on point. I haven’t had the beef patties yet but I’ll be coming back soon !!“

“Try the codfish cakes. Scrumptious! Curry is always good and oxtails are braised perfectly. The food is savory and seasoned well. Love the comfort on the restaurant, great place to try out some Antigua cuisine. The menu has American food also. I highly recommend Cafe Metro.“
