“This review is for their coffee but also their workspace at their 80th street location. As for the coffee — it’s great. Definitely more expensive than an already expensive coffee shop (iced americano is $9) — but it’s good for sure.

Service and vibes are very nice. Emilio at the 80th street location is really awesome.

Best of all they have a great workspace a few doors down that’s quiet and a great place to work.“

Stumbled upon Buttercup Bake Shop and they were so awesome! Totally worked with me and delivered the cupcakes with NO hassle. “Levain was packed with a line almost out the door at 9pm on a Tuesday. It maintained that pace for the 30 minutes that we were there. We got a lemon, and fudge cookie. The cookies were very good, though I thought they were almost too sweet, and too subtle on flavor, especially on the lemon cookie. The buttery flavor was intense in a good way though. It's a great place, I would definitely come back again, but with less of a line“

“I love the gluten free wraps here. I’ve tried all and my favorites are the Avo Tuna wrap, the Protein Powerhouse, and the Spicy Chicken Caesar wrap. The salads and grain bowls are also excellent. There’s plenty of seating in the upper level of the food hall. This is a great place to grab a quick and healthy lunch in the area.“

“I went there for the fried egg (probably Yo Egg) and it did not disappoint. I made my own platter with the sunny side up egg, toast, bacon, and tater tots. All were well made and delicious. Good toast for mopping the vegan egg yolk. Bacon was very crunchy (which I like, more like bacon chips). Tots were crispy. Excellent breakfast, wish I'd had time to try their other food. I was there when they opened at 9am and had the place to myself.“

While it looked packed they were able to seat us the bar within 2-3 minutes of coming in, coffees served quick and the food was out in no more than 10 minutes. The vegan options are plentiful and soooo good. I had vegan salmon benedict and the missus had the vegan penny benny. It was my first time and the vegan salmon is damn good here.“

“Shoutout to the Rittenhouse location. We are at Chop with our 4 year old son who just had surgery. I figured after the day we had let’s have some cookies. I placed an order from Levain on door dash. My wife after the long day she had put in the wrong address on the door dash order and the driver called screaming at me and wouldn’t come 1.3 miles to bring them even after explaining the circumstances. Door dash refunded my whole order without me even asking and I called Levain and they went above and beyond. They gave us cookies on the house and even threw in an extra chocolate chip and delivered them to CHOP. Not only are the cookies fabulous the hospitality is second to none. I am a lifelong customer to this location and want to thank everyone at the Rittenhouse location especially Mat who went above and beyond. Thanks again!“

Small, intimate seating and run by a passionate owner who makes even the syrups in-house. Great selection of coffee, niche teas like genmaicha, and very fair prices for NYC. A real gem!“
