“Place is a hidden treasure. Food is outstanding! The waiters were very welcoming, funny and very attentive without rushing us before we could ask for anything they were right there. The owner is super sweet with a beautiful personality. He makes you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. The food was phenomenal every dish was seasoned perfectly and portions were plentiful. The prices very reasonable for the service and food quality they provide. This is so far our favorite Italian cuisine restaurant I'm so glad we live close by we will be back. If I could give a 10 star I would!“

“10/10!!! We had such an amazing experience here ! We were visiting the area and were recommended this restaurant by our hotel attendant. I have to start off by saying our waitress, Monica, was wonderful ! She had such an amazing personality, was super friendly and helpful. She gave so many great suggestions of other places to try during our stay which was SO appreciated and helpful. Also, the food by Chef Ian was absolutely wonderful! I had the pan seared chicken which was to die for and the meatball appetizer tasted wonderful. Thank you for the wonderful experience and if we’re in the area again sometime, we will be sure to come here again!“

“Easily the best pizza in Teaneck, and one of the top pizzerias in NJ. Their Drunken Grandma pie is one of the best slices I’ve ever had. The garlic knots are cooked perfectly, with nice crispy exterior and soft inside. Staff is extremely friendly. Overall a fantastic experience.“

We were embarrassed, though, because we took somebody from out of town there and there are holes in the ceiling from leaks that have obviously been there a long time, unpainted plaster on the wall (with a ceiling leak above it), and the table was dirty and looked like it had not been cleaned well after more than one set of customers. With a little TLC EJ's could be one of our top choices for a dairy meal again. Until then, we won't bring anyone else there and will avoid it ourselves.“

“My family has patronized this establishment for years. When it was Jerry’s Pizza at the top of Teaneck Road. We enjoy it. Most times we get family Pie which is HUGE bbq chicken wings always cooked to perfection and chicken parm hero.The slices are delicious also.27 years and counting eating their food when we don’t cook.Definitely a go to for pizza Parties and school functions.Thanks so much for consistency and delicious food and great service.“

“Great Italian food and a decent menu, not much choice but not too much. It's located next to Post Office 34 and is very trendy. The view and service are great, but it's noisy as there isn't much to absorb the sound. We ordered focaccia, roasted peppers and pasta. Everything is great and super fresh.“

“We used to frequent the Astoria location which was always so great. The new Manhattan location is no different. Somewhat smaller, but just very cozy and very nice looking. Amazing food as always. “We happened to be walking by on a Friday night and my husband pointed it out. Our pasta was fresh and delicious and served so quickly. The staff was beyond attentive and professional. The bathrooms were gorgeous and clean. It delivered on all aspects. We had Zeppole with lemon curd for dessert and it was unreal!“

We dined on a weekend evening, the restaurant was quite busy, but Valerio and the team were very kind and welcoming, and they accommodated us with short waiting. The ravioli were well cooked (al dente) and tasted delicious! We also tried their tiramisu and it was spectacular! The whole time we spent there we felt as we were in Italy, definitely recommended!“

“We came here after spending some Times Square. We chose this restaurant because it was close to Grand Central the and the LIRR. It was early, about 4:00 PM so not many people there and a few people at the bar. The bar set up looked inviting for business, couples, and friends. Stock was very ample. We had a couple of drinks and then had the fried calamari and shrimp appetizer which was very good and as expected. The sauce had a hint of spicy which was what the menu said. It was very good. My wife had the shrimp risotto and I had the veal scallopini. Her dish was simple and yet I was expecting more flavor from the rice. No complaints but nothing special here. The veal was interesting. It was not at all like veal scallopini I have had at other restaurants. The description was the same as I am used to but the taste was not. Nothing negative here, just that the veal and mushrooms seamed to have been charcoal or wood fire grilled which was unexpected. That flavor took over the entire dish. It overpowered the expected flavor of the normal mushroom sauce. As I said, it was not bad, it was different. I probably would not order it again but I would still rate it a 4 out of 5 in terms of taste. Just not my thing. I would come back and try other dishes in the future just to see if it is a keeper. The jury is out on this one.“

“😊La Giaconda is a friendly restaurant with authentic Italian cuisine. We had a small family Christmas Dinner there and were treated like family. They have an extensive wine list and delicious food.“

“Walked in on a Saturday evening (on the earlier side), and we were able to get seated at the “chef’s counter.” We started off with drinks at the bar ($10 cocktails from 4-6 PM!), which had a nice vibe, before moving to the chef’s counter right in front of the kitchen. It was nice to be able to see the hustle and bustle of the kitchen and take in the aroma of the various dishes being prepared.

We started with whipped ricotta and fig bruschetta; the balance of savory and sweet made for a nice bite, but some parts of the bread were grilled a bit too long and were burnt. For mains, we had fettuccine with white bolognese and fusilli with basil pesto and spicy sausage. Both pastas were very good. The white bolognese had hints of liver to add to the layers and richness of the flavor. The fusilli had a brighter flavor, with a nice dash of heat from the sausage.

Dessert was torta di formaggio, which ended up being a chocolate cheesecake. The upper shell was hard, which added to great textural contrast. The orange cream also balanced out the decadence of the chocolate.

Service was friendly and informative. The vibe was a bit more fancy than your average neighborhood spot, but not so fancy to be stuffy.“
