“Last night a friend and I went there last night (10/24/24. We actually went for karaoke, which was supposed to start at 8pm. It started at 9:30. However, we decided to stay for dinner. Although there were only a few customers, it took over an hour to get our food. I also had an issue with the servers hair hanging out, while they constantly played with their hair. Hair should have either been covered or tied back.
Now for the positives: We liked the cozy, pristine atmosphere. The fried snapper and jolof rice was absolutely delicious. The fried plantains should have been ripe and sweet (like Cuban Petes). We didn't like the pepper sauce, which was extremely hot, and lacking flavor. The next time I will bring my tobacco. Yes, I said next time because it was my first visit, and I'll definitely be back for that DELICIOUS RED SNAPPER. I don't remember the name of the young lady. I think that she was the hostess. She was awesome. When she saw me sputtering from tasting that hotsauce she immediately brought me water. Her assistance in helping us select our menu was awesome. Thank you.“

By far the best chicken I’ve had in a very long time and the fufu and egusi was divine“

“I got the chicken jollof. The people are very friendly and nice. Rice was just okay but the chicken was definitely very good. I would definitely want to come back but I most certainly will not. I paid $27 literally for some chicken, rice, and cabbage. Call it a portion and a half but I did eat the entire thing. Really though, I can go almost anywhere in this city and get the same, if not better, for $12-15. I’ll be honest, I am not even sure how they remain in business charging those prices to people. Well, that’s my two cents minus 2,700. Up to you if you want to give it a go.“

“We visited and ate at a friend’s house. The food tastes great so we asked where it was from and the friend said Adidun.

This past weekend, I placed a same day order for half a pan of Jollof and half a pan of Turkey. Most times, based on my experience at other restaurants, individual orders tend to taste better than a large catered order. But I had faith. They were able to accommodate my same day order which I was happy about. Once it was ready, I drove out between 30-40mins just to pick up this order. IT WAS WORTH IT!

The turkey was not hard and chewy. The pepper sauce on it was perfect. Not too spicy and had good flavor. The rice had a Smokey flavor to it and is well balanced with flavor and seasoning. Omg. Solid decision to order from Adidun. Since my order, I’ve been calling the restaurant just to say how delicious the food is and for them to keep it up. Unfortunately I’ve not been able to reach anyone, so decided to just leave a review.

Physical location. It’s small and clean. When I arrived, no one attended to me. I saw a girl standing close to the employee only door so I told her I was there for a pickup order. After making some jokes with the girls around, which I did not understand, she disappeared to the back. I thought she went back to tell someone in the kitchen about it but I guess not. I sat and waited for a while. It became clear that my request was not relayed back. Thankfully a lady eventually came out from the back just to check on the buffet area. I went to her and repeated my request. She acted unaware but relayed the message. This is when finally someone came out with my order. So when it comes to service in the restaurant, I would say it’s a bit disorganized. Given that I drove far and had a journey to make back, plus I wasn’t sure if where I parked on the street was real parking, it would have been great to receive smoother, organized and quick service.

The food made up for the experience. If ever they answer the phone again, I’d place another order.“

“My order was quite enjoyable. I had some large fish that was topped with rice that had been seasoned and sauteed onions and peppers. Since I had never really had African food before, I ordered something that didn't really fit with my order, so I really appreciate that they phoned me. The ginger beverage was flavorful, zesty, and refreshing.“

Amala

“As a Lagos-born Nigerian living in Bergen County, I've spent years searching for authentic Nigerian food in North Jersey, and I can confidently say that Naija Buka is the real deal.
Their jollof rice has that nostalgic party-style flavor that instantly takes me back home. The egusi soup is one of the best I've had in a very long time—it was so good that it turned my Jamaican wife into a believer in pounded yam and egusi soup! A few days ago, I also tried their amala with gbegiri and ewedu, and it tasted like something straight out of a local canteen in Lagos.
Beyond the amazing food, the customer service is exceptional. The staff are always warm, courteous, and welcoming. Every time I visit, I'm greeted with a smile. They're also patient and flexible with my orders, which I appreciate because I often get overwhelmed by all the delicious options and want to try everything on the menu.
If you're looking for authentic Nigerian cuisine in North Jersey, Naija Buka delivers both incredible food and outstanding hospitality. I'll definitely keep coming back.“

“I’m a jamaican who loves African food dearly. I love the culture and food as a whole. A friend of mine recently switched jobs so I can no longer get the authenticity any more of the food. But i heard of this place from a friend and decided to try because i was craving saki with egusi and pounded yam. Food was absolutely amazing, just the right amount of spice in my book and the meat was very tender which i loved. You can tell they cleaned the meat very well as it had no smell to it. I can’t even express my enjoyment for the food. My only disappointment is that I ordered the saki, beef, and chicken and instead of getting the saki i got two pieces of meat. But other than that i had a good experience with this place. Also keep in mind i ordered this food from uber eats and the food took 40-50 minutes to get to me and the food was still amazing warm and hot. That’s a plus for me“
