“Waited an hour in line but the food was well worth the wait! They use the right amount of 5 spice season to make the chicken perfectly seasoned. Despite the long wait, you're not guaranteed a table. We were in the front. This place is not ideal for groups of 3 if you're trying to get into the back room. The hostess wouldn't even put us on the waitlist for the back room.“

“Another fantastic dinner at PS Kitchen. Highly recommend the Thai Chili wings, crabby cakes and Brussel Sprouts. Our table also had the Linguini Alfredo, Cesar wrap and the Thai Sweet Chili Sandwich. We didn’t like the pretzel bun but otherwise everything was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed. Staff are friendly and we did not feel rushed. Will definitely be coming again and highly recommend.“

“Had a brunch here by myself on Sunday for a bottomless mimosas time and had a blast. I ordered a burger and what made it the best experience for me is the warmth and hospitality provided by Rachel!! She is such a sweetheart and I see her every brunch I chose to come here. “Had a fabulous meal here with friends eating in warm and attractive outside seating. The crisp roast lamb (actually lamb neck cooked like osso bucco but with Middle Eastern spices) was one of the best meat dishes I’ve eaten in years. Really, a piece of art!! Go savor some!“

“I came here for my birthday dinner. The staff here were so friendly and helpful. They explained the tasting course thoroughly. The first course was a set of three little dishes and the rest was a sort of "choose your own adventure" type of thing. My brother, husband and I each ordered something different and we got to try most of the menu that way. The presentation was impeccable and the food was top notch. They presented me with a cute little birthday dessert with a candle. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.“

“This was a bustin crab place! I busted open those crab legs if you know what I mean. Ey yooo! My waiter, Anthony, was the man. “We found this gem of a bar/restaurant and visited five or six times. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff very professional and friendly. Eddie provided excellent service and Gabriel the owner is so welcoming and friendly and has time for everyone. The food was out of this world - particular mentions are Ravioli Zucca and the Brasato di Costolette di Manzo (short ribs to die for). The bomboloni (Italian doughnuts with chocolate and caramel sauces) is one of the best desserts I’ve had! We would definitely recommend this place. It’s in an excellent location opposite Central Park.“

“The place is nice, it smells like smoked food indoors which I don’t enjoy a lot but if you’re ok with that scent, the place is warm. A little snob, but maybe that’s the vibe they want to share around. We had reservation but it was delayed, and we couldn’t have a drink while we’re waiting. The food was tasty, but not crazy to wait for delays. However, the place is cute if you don’t mind those details. Some people of the staff, great, others a little snobby and not friendly. Extremely loud place too, if you like to have a conversation, it’s not the kind of place I would recommend. You should try it at least once to find out tho, maybe it’s fine for you. I like lively places but not the ones with such much noise that you can’t hear the person next to you.“

“Amazing food, drinks, and service! The birds of paradise drink was amazing if you like a little spice. They brought out bread (including gluten free bread) with a dipping sauce of olive oil, garlic paste, and peppers that was incredible. We split the caviar topped tater tots, tuna crudo, broccoli (served over yogurt, so unique and one of the best veggie dishes we’ve ever had), and the limone pasta on a gf noodle (gf noodle made in house and my non-gf friend said it was amazing pasta even among non-gf. Every bite was amazing. Top tier service. So knowledgeable about dietary needs. Cute ambiance. Can’t wait to return!Dietary restrictions: Very gluten free friendly! Can modify almost every dish. “Amazing place! My brother and I are both vegan and have a ton of allergies and the wait staff was super accommodating. The food is spectacular too - I took 2 animal eaters and a vegetarian to the restaurant and they couldn't tell the difference between the kebabs and meat. We had the "chicken", "beef", and kofta kebabs, along with the "chicken" gyros, "lamb" cigars, and hummus. I was a big fan of all the kebabs, and thought the "chicken" gyros were amazing too. The desserts were also great - highly recommend.Vegetarian options: It's an entirely vegan restaurant.“

“Ever since you reopened, the food has been exquisite. The earlier years when it was GB&G, the different chefs never really found themselves. Since the reopening and the re-emergence of the original chef, I think, the food is back to its glory as it was 15 years ago. Regardless, service has always remained superlative. I do miss the complimentary exquisite breads, intermezzo and after dinner edibles though.“

“Lunch at abcV is surprisingly good as we didn't expect the plant based food menu. I just wanted to grab some lunch with my wife. It was like stumbling into a secret society where the members wield spatulas instead of swords and are on a valiant quest to elevate plant-based eating from mere sustenance to an art form. They don't just serve food; they serve enlightenment on a platter, with a side of cosmic wisdom and a sprinkle of culinary wizardry. Imagine if a Zen garden and a high-end spa had a love child, and that love child decided to open a restaurant with high vibration foods, balance and beauty, wellness, wisdom, and love? So much love, I feel the urge to hug my waiter (consensually, of course) but my wife said no. It's all designed to nurture not just our personal ecosystems but the planetary one as well. Eating here, I can't help but feel like I'm saving the world, one bite at a time. And the food--it's like each dish has been kissed by Mother Nature herself, then sent to culinary school. Who knew vegetables could be this indulgent? I half-expected the broccoli to levitate off my plate, such was the level of enlightenment it apparently possessed. My wife and I shared a dish that I'm convinced had achieved nirvana, and for a moment, I saw the universe in a grain of quinoa. abcV is an experience that transcends the mere act of eating. “We came in last Thursday night for some pre dinner drinks while on vacation and we're so glad we found this spot! Our trip was drink/food focused and the bartenders here did not disappoint. My husband and our friend had a "Ramos Gin Fizz", (which was literally like the best cocktail I have ever tasted), I would have had one myself but I was already three deep into the Cucumber Mint Collins (which was also delicious)! There was a great live band playing and it was just what we needed after not being in the city for so long. Can't wait to come back!! Did I mention the bartenders were awesome? (It needed to be said twice).“

“This was our first time to Alfred Portale’s new restaurant and our entire experience was perfection! Everything we ordered was delicious. The seasonal soft-shell crabs were incredible—very nicely fried and presented beautifully over their perfectly paired sauce. We loved the Malfadine and especially the Lumache with its ragu bianco—sublime! For dessert, the olive oil cake was so moist and flavorful—even better than my wife’s—and the chocolate flourless cake was rich and delicious and surprisingly light. Our server Lani and staff Shah attended to our every need, the sommelier Michael made excellent recommendations for food pairing, and the executive manager David was an exceptional host who politely checked in with us and made us feel very welcomed. After learning that we had trouble deciding on which dessert to share, David and Lani even comped the dessert we didn’t order; such a gracious gesture. Our favorite Italian restaurant in NYC has been Ai Fiori for many years, but Portale is just as great, perhaps better. We look forward to dining there again soon!“

“This place rocked. We wanted something close to the High Line and this place popped up. We made a reservation via Open Table. After getting delayed on the subway, we were a little late. The hostess was understandable and we were seated at a table right away. It was busy and lively. We ate the sourdough bread, citrus salad and deviled eggs. It was all good. “A very pleasant pre-theater dining experience, so convenient to the show. We ordered just the green salad to start, which was delicious, fresh and refreshing. Interesting flavor combinations in the pastrami flavored duck and side dish of spaghetti squash for my husband. I chose the salmon which was absolutely wonderful, perfectly cooked and very flavorful, paired well with the risotto. Tables are nicely spaced compared to other area restaurants. A terrific go-to place for pre theater dining.“

“I’m so happy our original Christmas Eve reservation was cancelled and we found this gem. It was perfect. Romantic ambience, beyond excellent service, food was delicious, drinks were strong. My boyfriend and I shared: Appetizers: -Seared scallops: I know right, scallops. Generic usually? But these were in an amazing sauce which was devoured with our side of bread. -Octopus carpaccio: Perfect amount of freshness to balance the rich scallops. Main: -The wood fired fish for two: they brought the fish out from the kitchen to show us the fish in flames and that was very cute and appreciated -Meatless Rigatoni: I seriously held on to this dish to the very last moments even though I didn’t have enough room to finish it lol I was obsessed with the sauce Dessert: - Panna Cotta: the balsamic reduction was something I did not expect with this dessert but it was magical“

“Beer selection appears to be bottles only, but you're here for the food and the cocktails so it doesn't really matter.As for the food, everyone in our party ordered different items, and everyone was blown away. Duck confit, the most beautiful medium rare burger I have seen, tuna seared to perfection and a very tasty Fërgesë, finished by a very nice creme brulee. “I have been wanting to try Monkey Bar for quite some time. We finally were able to go this past Saturday. I want to start off by saying first off all the ambiance and decor is incredibly unique and beautiful.Secondly everyone from manager Jonathan who went over and beyond to our waiter and the bus boy Ash was kind, personable, and so attentive.Our meal was delicious, I loved that they did not rush for us to put in the entire order. “Had my wedding reception dinner here with 3 other couples. Comfortable seating, good food, great cocktails and great service. We never felt rushed or bothered and the food came out in exactly the right amount of time. My only wish was for the live music to be postponed later as it was a bit loud for us. Food is solid standards, nothing spectacular but all very good and reasonable portions. Look out for cilantro in the pasta if you’re sensitive to that.“

“This place is your classic dive bar with good food. At first look you would be surprised they even make food, but it's worth it! I'm not going to lie and say it's some of the best I've ever had, but it's surprisingly good & better than some of the inedible crap being served in other places around town (looking at you Tatra Hause ). If you're looking for a decent time in a classic dive bar with some food that hits the spot, then look no further. Just talking about it makes me hungry“
