“We ate here for my son's 11th birthday. The hostesses greeted us with pleasant smiles. Our waitress, Liz was very polite and accommodating. Our food was well prepared delicious and a gracious portion size. At the end of our meal Liz brought out a delicious brookie topped with ice cream in celebration of my son's birthday. “It’s a nice place with a welcoming atmosphere. Even on a weekday evening, the tables filled up quickly, which says a lot about its popularity.

I was surprised that the bread wasn’t complimentary, but the soft, delicious butter made it well worth the price. The food was very good, and the service was friendly and attentive.

It’s a BYOB restaurant, and if you don’t bring your own, you can have wine delivered from a nearby wine shop with no delivery fee, which is a nice convenience. Overall, I had a great dining experience and would definitely come back.“

“Had dinner there for the second time on Saturday night! It was very memorable. The food was absolutely fantastic. I had the eggplant with the Barata for an appetizer. It was so delicious and so tasty and my main course was the homemade linguine with lump crab and corn. We also got the meatball which was spectacular and then I got the cheesecake dessert which was one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever eaten. I absolutely love love love this place. Can’t wait to go back and eat there again.“

“Had a fantastic dinner at Allendale Social last Saturday. We especially enjoyed the Korean fried chicken and the heavenly miso cheesecake—both standout dishes.

“Stefan the new chef has a wonderful restaurant here with fantastic delicacies to choose from. Standouts are his Tuna sushi on rice cakes with caviar. Amazing. Also the steak frites with truffle fries and the tuna carpaccio...just wow. Stefan also had a delicious tapas served as appetizers a few weeks ago with anchovies and other types of seafood served on toasted baguettes. He is friendly and engaging and a great addition to the Ho-Ho-Kus dining scene. Bought St Eves from the previous owners about 2 years ago. Go and Enjoy!“

“We threw a drop-in Buffet dinner for family and friends at Houlihans for 30 to 35 people. The room is spacious and accommodated everyone comfortably. Our server Eileen was excellent and the food was delicious. Michelle who assisted with the catering was very detail oriented and help me plan a great event. “We dined at Robert’s for the first time. We were celebrating a relative’s birthday. The food was outrageous! The appetizers were amazing as were all of the entrees. I had chicken stuffed with mushrooms and I can honestly say that it was the best chicken I have ever eaten. The portions were plentiful. We had a large selection of desserts to choose from at the end of the meal. I chose one particular dessert but before mine came out, I asked if I could exchange it for one that someone in our party had in front of her. No problem. They accommodated me and it was beyond delicious. Also, the staff was very attentive during our whole meal. They could not have been any better. The only negative was the fact that there was also another birthday celebration going on at the same time and it was so noisy that we couldn’t hear each other talk. Despite that, I wouldn’t hesitate to return to this fabulous restaurant.“

This time we started with 3 apps that I tried. A salmon tatar, raw oysters on a half shell and shrimp. We like to eat and love our food lol. Soo sooo good- Then I ordered the tuna that had a perfect crispy crust on the outside and rare on the inside with a delicious wasabi sauce along side black rice and steamed bok choy. “First time their! Food was amazing. The short ribs melted in your mouth!. The arugula salad with hearts of palm and fresh cheese was delicious! The strawberry shortcake made in a tall glass was so creative and delicious! Can’t wait to go back! The service was excellent!“

“We have been shopping here as our main grocery store pretty much since it opened. While it is a smaller Whole Foods, it tends to have a good stock of a good variety of items, both fresh and packaged. It is generally clean (with one exception, see below) and most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is an Amazon Locker here, so you can get your Amazon packages delivered to this locker, do your shopping, and then pick up your package all in one trip. There are a two issues I very much wish they would fix. For one thing, the restrooms are consistently not clean. This is a suburban store and doesn't get the volume of customers that an NYC store gets, but they don't seem to be able to keep the restrooms in good order. My other issue has to do with what they choose to stock in a couple of categories. The first is orange juice. I always look for organic orange juice not in a clear container (so as not to compromise Vitamin C). I just want organic orange juice in an opaque container the way it comes -- not pulp-free, not extra-pulp, not with Vitamin D added, etc. They never stock this. My other stocking issue has to do with ice cream. They have all kinds of interesting flavors, several kinds of dairy-free options, etc. but I just want a pint of premium, organic vanilla ice cream, straight up. This can sometimes be found but often they don't have it on the shelf even though they carry all kinds of great brands that would offer it. If only this store remedied these two issues, they'd be five stars for sure!“

“I used to live in nyc. Since moving to jersey years ago, i have been looking for a place that does Falafel and gyro platters the new york way. This spot is exactly that and no other spot compares! Ive tried so many disappointing falafels in jersey. This one was perfect! Exactly the same as my fav cart in NYC. I used to have to go to nyc when i craved this so im so happy i no longer have to make that journey. Manhattan Halal Gyro has to be one of the most underrated restaurants in northern jersey. The team was friendly and lovely. The prices were insanely good! The quality was perfect. Good vegetables and loved the grilled onions on the platter. The sauces were exactly what they were supposed to be and the falafel was so perfect - soft but crunchy - exactly what i love in a good falafel.

This also tastes the same as the falafel i get when i visit family in the middle east.

“Having been here many many times, I continually enjoy the authentic northern China seafood and other dishes that this restaurant makes. Their seafood is mostly pan-Yello Sea style, that of Qingdao and Dalian. The dumolings here are also great, honemade with thicker skins than usual. Service is fine, food arrives pretty fast. The facility is a bit run down, but that doesn't destract the tasty food they offer here.“
