“"LOVED IT":The Roasted Vegetable Trio Masamun Curry (GF, VG) was incredibly creamy and had the perfect balance of tangy and sweet flavors. The squash and cauliflower were cooked just right. Every bite was bursting with so much flavor, it made my eyes roll back in pleasure. The Shrimp Pad Thai (GF - we omitted the egg) nailed the classic sweet and tangy Thai taste. The noodles were cooked to the perfect consistency. It was so good, I quickly slurped it all up like a dog eating your birthday cake. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, and very friendly - great service."LIKED IT":The atmosphere was lively and packed with people enjoying their food and company. It's a fun, energetic vibe being surrounded by the buzz if that's what you're in the mood for."MEH":The Om Gai Pad (GF) was the dish we were most excited for but ended up barely touching. The smell was off-putting to me. The flavor was kind of like an old sock...maybe that funky taste was intentional, but it just didn't work for us.The price. Not awful and expected for the quality of the food.Dietary restrictions: GF and VG are clearly marked. They can also omit eggs to make more VG options.“

“Loved my entire meal! We ordered the crying tiger (highly recommend), the crispy fries whole branzino with chu Chee curry, and the chicken wings. I cannot stress enough how truly tasty every dish was. Cannot wait to come back with more friends so we can try more dishes because I cannot NOT reorder these dishes.“

“Hands down best Thai food I've had. Fish and pork dish were cooked perfectly. They also aren't kidding around with the spice level here either. The crab curry that we had was spicy but it was so delicious. The bass was delicious and the pork meat fell right off the bone. I wish I lived near the area because I would definitely eat here often if I could. I hope I can revisit this place one day.“

“Their menu is extensive but I got classic things like the curry puffs, crab rangoon, and pad khee mao which were all great. The pad khee mao was quite spicy and I can handle a good amount of spice so I would ask for it not so spicy if you can’t handle too spicy. Very delicious and flavorful though!Beautiful lighting sitting outdoors by the way!“

“Such a lovely low-key friendly neighborhood eats. They've just been opened for couple weeks. Liquor license is coming soon. Love all the dishes we had. Very fresh ingredients and herbs being used, including micro greens and edible flowers. Drinks served now are only soft drinks but like I mentioned earlier; their liquor license is being issued right now. They should start serving alcoholic beverages in couple weeks. What we had today for three of us: Drinks - Raspberry Lemonade - Very refreshing beverage with a perfect combination taste of sweet and sour. Perfect for the hot summer day. - Thai Iced Tea - Typical signature non-alcoholic iced tea from Thailand. They made it perfectly - not overly sweet like most Thai places. - Thai Iced Coffee - Another signature Thai styled iced coffee. And again, perfectly made. Appetizers - Chive Pancakes - Big portion enough to share as a starter. Soft in the inside and crispy on the outside. Love it! - Thai Dumplings - Thai styled steamed dumplings with chicken and shrimp. - Fruit Salad (Special of the Day) - Mixed fruit salad bowl mixed of red apples, green apples, mangoes and grapes tossed with mixed of lime juice and other fresh ingredients of herbs and mints. Perfect for the summer. Entrees - Pad See Ew - Very tasty sautéed noodles with sweet soy sauce and flat noodles and Chinese broccoli and eggs. We chose to have it with fried tofu. - Duck Basil - Love, love, and love how they cook the duck with fresh Basil leaves and bell peppers. The duck meat is there - not dried out - still juicy and tender. Perfectly cooked! - Seafood Pad Cha - Again love the fresh ingredients and herbs used for this dish; especially, peppercorns, fingerroot and fresh lime leaves which they used in the dish. Dessert - Fresh Mango Sticky Rice - Not overly sweet for the Sticky Rice. So it was perfect for a hot day like today. Thank you, Glin for a lovely meal and very friendly attentive service. It was very enjoyable. We do appreciate the way you cook and use lots of fresh ingredients in your dishes. Stay true to your way of cooking. ***Love*** We'll be back soon and will try other dishes. Once again - Thank you. **The Uthairungsri Family**“

“Stopped by a few weeks after opening. The food was excellent. Me and my boys ordered a little bit of everything. Drunken noodle was great. Duck was great. Drinks were nice looking but I don't remember what I had so, I'll try it again. Wasn't super enthused on that front but definitely a fire spot to check out. Date night gem .“

“In NYC for a few days and visited OBAO - and couldn't recommend any higher. Our waiter, Beer was excellent - running us through the menu and giving us recommendations (two of which we took up).I highly recommend the short rib massamam which was recommended to me. A favourite of mine, OBAOs was hands down the best Massamam I've tried.Massive shout out again to Beer - for going above and beyond to making our visit memorable.“

“I ordered delivery from Malii and the order came very fast. The larb salad with chicken was very tasty, and super moist. I did think there could be more lettuce in the salad, as it wasn't very filling. My friend got the Cashew Nut with Vegetables and Tofu which was also yummy, but not enough quantity. The price is reasonable for the amount of food, but I would order an appetizer next time to stay full.“

“I came for lunch with a party of two and was amazed by how great and flavorful everything was!The lunch specials are a great deal, allowing you to pick from an entree, an appetizer, and soup/salad. We got two lunch specials, one beef pad thai and one chicken pineapple fried rice. The pineapple fried rice wasn't as savory as I had hoped, but the pad thai was perfect! The pad thai noodles are cooked to perfection and the flavor is balanced perfectly. I came back the next week and tried the pad see ew as well, which was also amazing. I highly recommend getting a noodle dish and coming for lunch, walk-ins are fine but they can get a bit busy.“

“Bangkok Supper Club is undeniably the best Thai restaurant in NYC. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with a cozy and warm atmosphere that sets the perfect tone for a memorable dining experience. The host's warm welcome adds to the inviting ambiance, making you feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the food--it's simply outstanding. I highly recommend trying the Lin Yang (beef tongue) grilled charcoal, a dish that bursts with flavor and tenderness. Another must-try is the octopus with fried onion, a delightful combination of textures and tastes that leave a lasting impression. What truly sets Bangkok Supper Club apart, though, is the exceptional service. I can confidently say it's the best I've ever experienced. The servers Pat are attentive, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond to ensure your dining experience is nothing short of extraordinary. Overall, Bangkok Supper Club is a gem in NYC's culinary scene, offering not just incredible food but also a welcoming atmosphere and top-notch service that make every visit a delight.“

“I usually don’t step foot in Brooklyn but when you’re here, might as well try what is heavily recommended, and that came in the form of Ugly Baby! We were instantly welcomed and you’re treated to a cozy little place that is so colorful! It instantly cheered up my cold wet self since it was raining outside. The waiters were so patient with explaining the levels of spice, and so so sooo attentive with everything! The food was amazing, we had the Panang Nuer (Beef shank and cumin red curry) and the Gai Nor Mai Dong (Chicken thigh, pickled bamboo shoot, red curry) this was their fabulous winter menu! Endless amount of refillable rice, since I had a lot of them, was a must for all the meat we got in the Panang Nuer! Gluten free is also marked clearly on the menu with an asterisk. Highly recommend coming here! A short walk from the train station!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free clearly marked!“

“My favorite Thai restaurant in the area! The food here is consistently good, as we came here 2 years ago and upon ordering the same dumplings and soup, everything tasted exactly as amazing as it did our first time here. The food here is a little pricier than your typical thai restaurant, but it's totally worth it! The purple blossom dumplings are a delight to look at and super tasty. Another must order is the galangal soup, which was so tasty. I've never had galangal soup with fish before, and this was heavenly! The jasmine tea baby back ribs were delicious, but I couldn't really taste the jasmine tea. I will probably skip the ribs the next time I come and go for the massaman curry instead. Our favorite entree here was definitely the massaman curry. The chicken kuay teow kua was a little disappointing as it didn't have much wok hay but the flavor was pretty good.“

“Solid northern Thai restaurant, love seeing that they have specialty northern Thai dishes and the classic Thai dishes. We tried the spicy stir fried basil with chicken and a northern Thai specialty pork belly and mango sticky rice. Both were delicious (wish the pork was a tad bit more tender and the mango sticky rice had more sauce). There was a 20ish min wait on Saturday night around 7pm so prepared or come early as the restaurant isn't very big. Would come again and try the grilled fish!“

“+ the royal pad thai and the pad thai with chicken were very tasty. “Vibe is great and the place is so nicely decorated! So pretty and the food was good too. We got pad thai with crispy duck, sautéed beef with eggplant, oceans 4, crab Rangoon, lychee shrimp, brooklyns steak. Highly recommend the oceans 4. The oceans 4 curry is amazing.Be warned, the lychee shrimp is literally shrimp with canned lychee on the side. Shrimp was still good tho.“

“We order take out from here often but dined in before too. The things we order most often are the Larb Salad, the Tom Kha, the short rib either in Khao Soi (as pictured here) or the curry version, Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, basil rice. I like how they have the options of crispy pork belly and crispy duck but after trying it 3-4 times, it's almost always overcooked and dry. Almost like it's been refried several times and becomes tough. Instead I'd recommend the rib since it's pretty tender. Definitely get Khanom Tuay if you like coconut, mochi-like, dessert.“

“Cute restaurant and great service. Chicken curry puffs were made with mochi (or tasted like) which was interesting.Sriracha wings and the pork skewers did not impress us.The garlic steak stir fried udon was pretty good, I asked for it to be more “al dente” and I think they tried.“

“I've never had Malaysian food and this restaurant definitely set the bar high for future Malaysian meals! Everything was so good and the portion size is very good. Got three entrees and an appetizer for three people and it was more than enough. My favorite dish was the curry laksa soup! The Thai iced tea is delicious and comes in a very fun cup! I gave this place four stars though because of the service. We had a reservation for 8pm and was not seated until 8:25pm. Seems like this is pretty common if you read other reviews so definitely expect a wait.“

We ordered: Tum poo-plara = papaya salad with salted crabs I asked for extra spicy 20+ peppers, they came through! So good, so authentic, so spicy! Gaeng Om Kai: spicy chicken dill soup My fav! Husband approved! Lahp moo: minced pork salad I asked for extra Thai peppers All in all, this was authenticity at its finest.“

“One of my favorite cheap eats in Manhattan. I cannot explain how much I love this place. You go up to the counter to order and the food is ready within 5 minutes and served directly to your small table. And even though the restaurant itself is tiny, there always seems to be an open seat as people eat and leave very quickly. I ordered the Fried Chicken Rice and it was delicious!! Although there isn't a lot of chicken, the fried bits are fried to perfection as it isn't too oily and full of flavor. I especially liked dipping it into the sour and spicy sauce which elevated the chicken. The rice is also to die for as it is seeped with chicken broth, you can just eat this alone without anything else. Also, the soup is incredible as I love how much white pepper they put into the broth, the flavors are so incredibly intense. I love ME Chicken Rice. Probably top 10 favorite eats in NYC!“

“The food was delicious!!!! A friend told me that it would be very spicy, but I didn’t find it to be so. (Definitely had a zip to it but not too extreme) Service was attentive and pleasant. The only downside was the seating. The chairs were more like elementary school short stools. Quite uncomfortable, but I’d definitely go back just for the food!“

“Elevated Thai food at this place here. This restaurant is truly delicious, and the outdoor seating is beautiful. I would recommend!!1. Gai Yang - marinated grilled chicken thigh, with a sweet chili and jeaw sauce. The chicken was actually perfect.2. Kanang Pad Krapow - sautéed brussel sprouts with basil, chili, and maybe some fish sauce. Really delicious.3. Som Tum Thai - papaya salad. This was good.4. Crab fried rice - it was not the best. I wouldn’t recommend it, plus the price point of $29. I would stray away from fried rice options here. Almost flavorless without the sauces on the side.5. Yum Nua Yang - BBQ steak salad. Shallots, chili, lime. One of my favorite Thai dishes.“

“We stopped by for brunch at peak hours without a reservation and the wait was only 30 min for 4 people. First of all, the Thai Tea French Toast ($15) is an absolute MUST HAVE. It was a unanimous favorite- the salted condensed milk and Thai Tea butter are heavenly. The stuffed cabbage ($25) was also a great choice because of the sauce. The phat see ew and phat Thai ($25 for beef, $24 for chicken) were solid choices, but I had expected a larger portion for that price. The disco fries ($13) and roti ($12) were okay. For drinks, we shared a punch bowl, which was STRONG and definitely enough for 4-6 people. Some dishes had a long wait and I did think the cost was high for the sizes, but I would still recommend coming at least for the French toast!“

“I have been coming to this establishment since it was legit a box on the block. If you walked too fast you'd miss it...and I'm so excited and impressed on how they've transformed to become such edgy, dateworthy and "Instagrammable" sit down dining restaurant.Prices & Food: very reasonable, includes lunch time specials that won't dent the pockets. I haven't had all of the dishes on the menu but the ones that I have had I enjoyed. I ❤️ the fact that they stay true to their roots regarding heat levels. They don't dummy it down for us NYers..you came there remember! On the flip..they should stay true to their roots and not serve fried chicken wings the way we do up here. That was a miss ?Cleanliness: ? they nailed it! The bathroom decor is something I'd be inspired to copy and VERY clean, smells good, etc. I hold a sanitation certificate so EVERYWHERE I go I'm looking in corners, looking at the ceiling, under the tables..I need to know my area is clean to enjoy my food! 5stars!Service: No complaints. Each server has been attentive and patient; never really hovering to rush me and my party out so much appreciated ?I would very much recommend coming here. Nice for a solo date or bring a party. The place is inviting and seats about 40 people in total I believe. Warm months brings outside dining, never done it, but it looks ?Wheelchair accessibility: Establishment provides outdoor dining and has a ramp! Thoughtful!“

“I don't know if it's a hidden gem or just a gem in the Financial district. My husband, mother in law and I had dinner here last night, and everything was fabulous. The waiter was very accommodating, as we requested hot water instead of regular cold water because of my mother in law, they were very nice and provided a beautiful teapot with small tea cups, such a cute detail! For food we shared the appetizer platter, coconut soup and a pad Thai. The food was incredible, so flavorful! The place itself is beautiful, we loved the decorations and the choice of cutlery and dishes. One can clearly notice that a lot of thought went into creating this place. “Ok and here we go I am part of an aircrew staying at the Lincoln Harbour Sheraton and wanted some non hotel restaurant food for a change. We tried Hi So, not knowing what to expect. We walked into the most basic and bare looking restaurant I have been to in many years (do not let this put you off) and took a table for 3! The girl on the front desk was very friendly and took our orders. We all had different starters and main courses! when they came, you could tell they had been made fresh and not half pre pared and actually really hot (which is not my experience in most restaurants I have tried in America) I don’t have enough space to talk about what we got but suffice to say it was all exceptionally good! In fact it was so good that we have eaten there 3 times now. Do not let the appearance of this restaurant put you off. Everything we tried on all 3 visits was better than anything we tried in this area and trust me, we eat out every night. Price range compared with all the other restaurants in this area is fantastic. They even allow you to take your own wine or beers and supply you with the glasses and cork screw. We now stay at weehawken on a regular basis and I will definitely be going back to Hi So Thai. Stars out of 5? I would give 6 if you are willing to look past the very basic sitting arrangements. Give this place a go. You will be happily surprised and there is something on the menu for everyone.“
