THIS WAS REAL COMFORT FOOD THAT WASN’T SKIMPED ON OR LACKING!!!… AS A MATTER OF FACT, I’M ORDERING AGAIN TONIGHT!!!… I HAD ENOUGH FOR TWO DAYS UNTIL MY GREEDY GRANDSON CAME THE NEXT DAY & SAID, ‘NA NA, WHAT’S IN THE PLATTER?… CAN I HAVE SOME?’…. THERE WENT MY NEXT DAY’S DINNER!!!.. BUT DON’T WORRY, I’M ORDERING AGAIN TONIGHT & WILL HIDE IT!!!’??. BUT ORDER YOURS, REALLY GOOD FOOD!!!!??. (NICE LADY, I PRESUME OWNER WHO ANSWERS THE PHONE!!!)“

“I had food catered from here for my family reunion on 8/30/2025 for the first time and it was delicious fried & barbecue chicken, yams, string beans, mac&cheese & cornbread We were very pleased with the staff as well Thanks for everything . Want delicious soul food this is the place to go.“

“This cute little cafe is my new favorite spot! I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. Although I got take out, this eat in cafe was very clean and nicely decorated. The pretty young girl with the head wrap that took my order was very friendly and greeted me with a smile. I had the combo bang bang shrimp and chicken wing platter with Mac & cheese and yummy yams. The shrimps were big and delicious. The wings were very crispy and had a decent flavor without any sauce. The Mac & Cheese was pretty good too. I also tried the pepper steak over white rice that my daughter got and that was really good too! I think I’ll get the pepper steak next time.“

“Where a do I begin? A hidden jem surrounded by culture and love. I have been ordering from the owner for many many years and have followed wherever his team has gone. Low and behold he opened a resteraunt/catering. I’ve had him cater a baby shower, funeral and graduation party. I’ve had attendees ask who did the cooking and I can’t praise them enough. Delivered on time hot and ready. Having a cousins family reunion Saturday and who did we call Mylestone…thank you for all the many years of great food, exceptional service. Please try everything on the menu you won’t be disappointed!!!!!!!!“

“I don't want to be that person that give a low rating, so I'll still give 4 stars. I visited the restaurant for the first time in over 10 years. I just remembered that I enjoyed the chicken breast sandwich last time( I usually hate fried chicken breast because people overcook it). I ordered the chicken breast sandwich today and it costed close to $12 for it😑. Mind you they have menus with no prices so I was kinda surprised by the price. I got to the car and there was a band wing and a small overcooked chicken breast! I'm super disappointed because I was really looking forward to that sandwich. Hopefully next time is better. I'll give them another chance since I unintentionally went within 30mins to closing. Idk I guess we'll see! I know I used to love the banana pudding too so I'll probably try that again too to see if it's still good.“

“Traveling to Philadelphia, I wanted to support a black-owned business. I found BlackHen like most people (through social media of course). The name and the bold decor caught my eye. So creative! I made reservations on Open table (as it's a smaller venue) HIGHLIGHTS: Bri was our waitress , she was very polite and kind. I ordered the 4 wings, with collard greens and candied Yams. I also ordered a Mac and cheese. Oh my goodness... the food was all that. I thought I was in the South. Everything came out hot 🔥. It was crazy delicious. Chicken was fried just right and seasoned so well. My taste buds waa trying to figure it out! Greens were just right not too vinegar and not too sweet. They also had a "kick' to it. Candied Yams could really be the dessert. It was good. The Mac and cheese was.on point. ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT: The meal didnt come with bread or cornbread (I didn't realize it till I was finished) Music- I thought i saw somewhere, that R&B music waa played. Rap (with explicit language) was the only thing in rotation. My daughter is 15 and she commented to me about the music since there waa a family there with two minor kids Please dont look at this as a negative review. Whenever. I'm in Philly. I WILL visit again. The branding caught my eye, but its the food that will have me return.“

“I'm giving you a 20 star first time I've ever ordered oxtails always just order fried fish and chicken and shrimp and sometime grill shrimp first off let me say that the beautiful young lady that work the front is amazing always smiling very sweet second the food is always hot and fresh but baby the oxtails in gravy the cabbage potatoe salad and rice is top that food was so good I was sucking the bones this store is the truth and the food proves it if you want good soul food in the city of Philly please please go to blu bay the best and I was asked if the oxtails better than the Jamaican stores the oxtails supercede the Jamaican restaurant one of a kind I will continue to go back more and more love it blu bay keep up the good work ?“

“Listen, I order from KeeBooms online often, thru DoorDash. I went to the building in West Philly for the first time the other day. Wasn't expecting to have to order from a side window, but I digress. Her food is always delicious to me! I know I know how to cook, so to eat from another chef that cooks almost like I do, I'm grateful for that. The only other thing that I had a complaint about was the pricing was NOT correct on the outside menu. I suggested to the young man that took my order, that the prices should be changed to correct numbers, because it looks like you're overcharging people for their orders. Other than that, KeeBooms gets a 10/10 from me.“

“So the ladies at the back are great. They don't speak much English, so if you go speaking English they won't really understand. But, the man in the front speaks English.

Now the man at the front he appears nice, but I think he makes up prices based off how he is feeling at the moment. Because I normally get the something each time I go. Down to the size of the platter, and the food in the platter. So the price should be the same, because I get the same thing each time I go. Some days I pay $18.00, some days I pay $20.00 and recently I paid $22.00. When I asked him why it was a different prices, he got very spicy with me. That was the last time I went there.

My boyfriend is Haitian, so the next time I go back he will be with me. If he can't go with me I won't be go.“
