“Visited Alkumah to try the Viral Crunchy Shawarma wrap and it definitely did not disappoint! The sweet sauce on it provided a tangy flavor that complimented the wrap. It was super filling and I was full before I finished eating it. The crunchiness of the wrap was just perfect and it was still hot and toasty as I ate it. Highly recommend a visit!“

“My only complaint is that the lone worker today, when I was paying with a credit card (without tap) took my card and tried to use tap. Before she took my card I was going to put it into the card processor. When I pointed out that it doesn’t have tap, she (2x’s) typed my card information into the register screen and it was declined (plenty of credit was available because I got gas with it shortly after). I then used my debit card which she just took from me and again tried to use tap (again not a feature on that card either). She was finally able to put my card information for the debit card and it went through. If she had let me put my card in in the first place there would have been no problem with the original transaction attempt. I feel some of the staff might need better/more training on using the register.“

“Great food with great service from happy people. Our waitress was so nice and attentive to our group. My niece casually mentioned she liked the ice (to chew on) and the waitress somehow overheard this and brought her a glass of ice. When she said she wished she could take it with her the nice lady reappeared with a plastic cup of ice to go. The whole evening was like that, almost like being in a family kitchen.“

“First time I had Indian food was a few years ago in NC, and I was NOT impressed. We were up visiting my sister in Ridgewood and we went out for fathers day dinner at Tabla. We ordered a bunch of different appetizers and entrees and we shared them all. I was absolutely impressed. I totally enjoyed EVERY item. I especially liked the curry fish with coconut milk. The had sandwiches as well. I decided to get the Popeye slice (spinach & ricotta) and a prosciutto slice. Oh my goodness was amazing!! They had about 10 flavors of gelato to pick from as well. I got a scoop of the pistachio & a scoop of fruity pebbles. I was told by the owners daughter who was at register (very polite & friendly) they make them in house. I had to drive little of 30 min to get there. If you’re in the area stop by or if you like me take a ride. You won’t be sorry. There’s a fountain outside where you or the kids can cool off. We have ordered from them twice so far and their food is second to none. You can taste their passion for food. My husband ordered the Chicken Napolitano both times and said it was out of this world delicious. My son ordered Rigatoni with Vodka sauce and practically licked his plate clean!! I ordered Chicken Marsala and Chicken Sorrentino and it was one of the best I have ever had. Yes this is coming from a Jersey Italian whose family once owned a restaurant in Newark so my standards are very high. From walking in and checking my coat, to the live piano player, to the incredible and impeccable service of our bartender/server, Noah. Everything was five stars all around! It’s a newer place on Main Street I have been meaning to check out and it didn’t disappoint. I made my own salad bowl with salmon that was cooked PERFECTLY truly amazing. Everything was so flavorful I ended up not even using the dressing I picked it simply wasn’t needed in my opinion so now I have some sauce to make something at home with! It ended up being around $35+ but that’s because I got a lot of add on and honestly I don’t regret it at all. It was a treat yourself kinda tab lol. “We ordered TOM XAO CARI XA OT CAY which is stir fried curry and lemongrass, HU TIEU XAO CARI CAY which is rice noodle w/curry chicken and Pho Do Bien which is rice noodle seafood soup.
My take was a little different than my husbands, so I’ll give you both. The price were very reasonable, albeit the portions were more like lunch size, but for me it was enough.

The dishes had a decent amount of noodles but could have used a bit more protein and vegetables. I thought the curry dishes had a nice sweet curry flavor but I didn’t taste any spice in either dish nor did I get a taste of citrus from the lemongrass. I still enjoyed it and would
go back again and try some other dishes.

My husband on the other hand had a different experience. He said the soup was good but felt the curry dishes were very bland and lacked flavor especially salt and spice. I am not sure he will be going back with me. 😂

Overall I recommend you check it out for yourself. The jury is still out for us, but I would try it again.“
