Full of flavor and just the most delicious, yet delightful, crispy corn tortillas dipped in Birria Consome. I'm sure you can imagine how good it tasted. The service is 5 Stars too . All the young ladies give 5 Star ? service & The Manager is easygoing & laid back. Very friendly and professional. ??. Takes care of you. ? ?10 out of 10 RECOMMEND. “WOW!!! This place is amazing!!! My husband is what I call a “food snob”, and he absolutely loved this place!! He got the Chicken Breast Mole and he said, “Wow! It’s like I’m eating this in someone’s kitchen”. Meaning, It’s authentic, flavorful and oh so DELICIOUS!!!! I ordered the Pizzabirirria and it was INCREDIBLE!! Such a large portion, so filling and the dipping broth that comes with is divine! You can easily share a pizzabirirria between two people. I had to take half of it with me.We were just passing through on our way to Texas and my husband wanted authentic Mexican food and so I turned to Google. After reading so many 5 star review for this restaurant, we decided to give it a try. And this place did not disappoint!!! We are so glad we stopped here! The waiter was very very friendly, the food came out pretty quickly and the horchata was delicious. It tasted like honey milk. You can tell it is a favorite place of the locals because there was a huge line for take out, along with a full restaurant. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic and delicious Mexican food!“

“Stopped at La Reforma during a business trip and came away very impressed. Great food, drinks and vibes. Service was also outstanding. Even during peak hours my waitress was very attentive. The food was perfect. Had the carne asada torta and it was probably one of the best ones I’ve ever had (I’ve had many). Perfectly cooked and very filling. Those chefs know what they’re doing. Topped it off with a Golden West IPA - delicious. Can’t wait to be return!“

“Very nice place! Good food, good quantity for the price and lots to look at! There was a line but it moves fast. So fast I didn't get to read everything before it was our turn. Parking lot and street parking ok but had to look for a few minutes. Will go again.“

“I got the Bistec Rancheros. The beef has amazing flavor and goes so well with the eggs and potatoes. SO GOOD! A nice little place, with amazing food. The portion size is also large. I could not finish it in one sitting. The salsa and chips. Also very good. The chips also come with a cheese sauce. I got the horchata to drink. Very good. I am not a big horchata fan, but I will drink it again next time I come. Not too sweet.“

“This place is the place to be. I have been in Albuquerque for three weeks now and on my last week I found out about this place. Hands down, one of the best places ever. No disrespect to the other restaurants. There is something about this place that makes it feel like you are at home and welcome. Take your shoes off and enjoy a great meal, great service, and great conversations. Dee who was my server recommended some awesome meals and she also surprised me with one as well. Thank you. I’ve been there 4 times and everything was delicious. Thank you to Gerry and to the staff for their awesome service, and their 5-star laughter and hospitality.“

“It's an old, local eatery. The service was great. We enjoyed the food. You're going to get honest, simple, unpretentious fare. Don't expect a Michelin star or silver service. This is the place locals go for an easy meal.Parking: There is free parking at the restaurant. There may be additional street parking nearby.“

“I've been eating at padillas for decades and we'll have to say that the food has been very consistent over that time and it's always delicious. If you're not a fan of onions then my suggestion is your tell your waiter or waitress to hold the onions because they're very liberal and the amount of onion they put on your food, I don't like onion. The tamales are very good probably the best in Albuquerque and the blue corn chicken enchiladas are also just very delicious.“

“We were staying at The Clyde for a conference and some of our people found this little place, and boy we were thankful they did! The word spread fast through quite a few groups from our conference because they did not disappoint! For lunch yesterday, our group had Zak's Famous Club, Monte Cristo, Tosatadas Compuestas, and Pasolé which were all amazing. This morning we had Carne Adovada and Eggs, Good Morning Relleno, and another round of Pasolé for one because she loved it that much! They also have a $5 handheld breakfast burrito that you can grab on the go! The chips and salsa were also yummy! And to top it off, the staff were very nice! I can honestly say, we as a group, highly recommend stopping in. Thank you Baca Boys Cafe staff!“

“We hadn't been here in a while but were in the area killing time before another business opened. This was a Sunday morning around 11:15. It was fairly busy. Everything was excellent! We haven't been to a restaurant with service this good in a very long time. Our meals were very good and came quicker than expected. At almost every restaurant we frequent the service has greatly declined and we all seem to have become accustomed to that new normal. However on this day at this location it was exceptional. We will definitely make an effort to return again soon.“

“I got a chicharron burrito (lunch style- meat, beans, onion and green chile). The other reviews that say they have big burritos are correct! This thing was ginormous! (Like the same size as a chipotle burrito!!).The burrito was great! Chile had perfect heat for this white boy ☺️ they give salsa too but I didn’t try it.Speedy service and lots of smiles. Great place to eat“

“The food was delicious!!! We ordered To Go, which took a bit long, but worth it! It was made with lots of flavor and love. I normally like red sauce, but it was hot for me this time and the green taste was great! Driving in was pretty tight. I drove in with a big truck and it was a challenge parking in and getting out. Cars shouldn’t have much of a problem. I totally recommend giving this place a try.“

“The absolute best New Mexican & Mexican restaurant!! I used to live in Albuquerque and I would get the chicken Gorditas once a week. My family loves the enchiladas and burritos. Now that I live in the PNW I miss it so much. Whenever I travel to NM this is always a stop for me.“

“Perfect! I have been New Mexican cuisine elsewhere. NOW, I am going to frequent this place where I can eat authentic Mexican cuisine. The other place I visited for years never claimed to be a Mexican restaurant. It is simply that Mexican is better than New Mexican. The food was delicious.“

“This place is in the old Quarters. We were looking for ribs for a family get together and were reminiscing about Quarters ribs. Discovered that La Serinita has the same ribs, same recipe, same sauce! They were everything we wanted. Also got Mac and cheese and coleslaw. Everything was a huge hit. And I won't gloss over the amazing service! Marco was so helpful in taking my order and making sure I knew how to hear everything up! Can't wait to go try some of their own recipes soon and have one of the margaritas on their menu!“

“Was on the way back from a VA hospital appointment before lunch and stopped by with my wife at this small but authentic Mexican Food restaurant to dine in. I had the Machaca with eggs and she the stuffed sopapillia and both were delicious! There were a couple of folks dining in when we arrived and our food order came out quickly. By the time we were finished there were more folks trickling in. Overall a nice place to eat lunch, with good Mexican food at a reasonable price!“

“Love this place for their Dogos! Totally crave-able!!! Can't go wrong with a bacon wrapped hot dog smothered with sour cream, ketchup, grilled onions and a hot sauce that makes your mouth tingle. Pair this with their Alegre style french fries, which is loaded fries of lettuce, cheese, tomato, cilantro, onion, salsa and your choice of protein. I liked the Al pastor better than the carne asada.“

“You never know where I'm going to show up! This time, I'm on the chase for horchatas ;-). But... if you know me, I'm one for all things non-traditional! This one was at #elpaisataqueria in ABQ and definitely will have to come back here and try their burritos! It's essentially a walk-up window with picnic table benches to sit at. I chose banana... and it was absolutely delicious! Best part? It's only $3 for a large ;-) talk about a nice way to get in the potassium ... #gourmetrecovery #horchata #potassiumbomb“

“Went here cause it was listed as top 6 burger places in ABQ. The burger itself was good but it had way too much stuff on it. I think I tasted ham, bacon and some sausage links along with the burger. Super saucy but the fries were delicious.“

“Growing up in Albuquerque developed in me a true love for "Red or Green" culture. Living out of state now makes me crazy living without it, so, when I visit I want the real deal food of the "Burque!" Tia Betty Blues is my new favorite. My Navajo sculptor friend, Natiya, introduced me and now I'm hooked. You can see in the pictures the food, and they don't skimp. Look at the size of that Carne Adovada burrito compared to his hands. It's massive! I got a 4-egg omelette smothered in green chile with calabacitas (zucchini and corn), and my other friend had blue corn waffles with strawberries.Next time I'm in Albuquerque this will be the first place I go, and probably more than once. I highly recommend it, especially in warm weather, when you can sit outside. I think the owner also has the Waffleria (?).Parking: Parking lot is somewhat small so go at times of least business.“

“Visiting for a day and went here for breakfast, let me tell yall they did not disappoint. This was the best breakfast Cafe we have been to. The food was hot and good proportions. It's been a few hours and we're still full. The Santa fe skillet my wife had was so delicious and my chicken fried steak was cooked perfectly. Our server was awesome and made us feel at home. The green chili and chili sauces were both phenomenal. Next time we're in town this is the only place we will go for breakfast! Wish we had the servers name so we could shout him out!“

“What does a pharmacist turned restaurant owner who is literally a one man show do when his name is the restaurant? If you are Ben Michael, you are the host, waiter, bartender, chef, bus boy cashier and entertainer. Cash only. Entrees are $15-$33. The guy is literally amazing as his friend says, Renaissance man who whips up the Southwest dishes. But if you are lucky and not in a rush, he opens his piano for a little sing a long. If you come, be prepared to wait for the check, but you'll leave smiling.“

“We cannot say enough wonderful things about Monroe’s New Mexican Restaurant! We have eaten in both restaurants, ordered takeout, and had small gatherings catered many times over the years. Every experience has been positive. Recently, we hired them to cater our wedding reception for about 140-180 people at a private venue. We worked with Sarah to plan the menu, calculate quantities of food needed, and plan for the delivery and service at the event. She was very helpful, professional, and responsive to both email and phone messages. Monroe’s catering was fantastic! The staff was super friendly and professional. They set up quickly and quietly, served guests with a smile, packed up leftovers nicely, and cleaned up, leaving the area neat. The food was fantastic and tasty as usual for Monroe’s. The quality of the food and service was exceptional and the prices more than reasonable. We could not have asked for a better catering experience on our special day!“

“I decided to try a new local restaurant for breakfast today and had heard really good things about Mick's Chile Fix, and since I was looking for a good chile fix I decided to try it. This place is awesome. I ordered takeout but the diner was super quaint and comfortable, it looked like a fantastic place to have brunch and it smelled amazing! The little gift store they had on the side was super cute too. I ordered a regular sausage breakfast burrito smothered in red and the portions they gave me were absolutely massive. Definitely a 2-day breakfast. The red chile is really rich and flavorful, I'd say a medium heat with enough kick to make my nose run, and the meal was delicious. 12/10 would recommend to anyone looking to support a local Mom&Pop-style restaurant while getting Grade-A+ New Mexican food at the same time. Will have to try the rest of their menu.“

“I was in the mood for enchiladas but I picked the wrong day for that when I visited for the first time at The Whole Enchilada. It was taco Tuesday and the green menu was my only options. The service was great from the moment I walked in. The woman who greeted me was so nice and pleasant. The place wasn't empty. Hard to tell from the outside. Everything was clean and folks looked to be enjoying themselves. I ordered carne asada tacos. Plain because I'm not a fan of fresh onions or cilantro. She gave me a couple tiny plastic containers to get sauce from the front and they were delicious and flavorful. She brought me the menu for all the other days. Recommended the sirloin tacos next time stating a different cut of meat than what I had. Asked if I liked seafood because she said the ceviche was great. Not a fan but I have family that love it. Note: if you do order tacos on a Tuesday, you get 4 but they have to be the same. I'll return because the carne asada was nice and tender and I still want enchiladas.“

“I didn't even know this place existed until I passed it on the road today. If you like fresh ingredients and a lot of flavor then this place is for you. I got the vegetarian burrito and it had cilantro, beans, cheese, spanish rice, avocado, and even potatoes I think. They also gave me an avocado crema on the side which was reallly good and fresh, not like the cheap watered down kind you get at most places. My only complaint is that the bottom wasn't closed up so it was kinda messy to eat, as you can see in the picture. But it didn't matter because it's probably the best Mexican food I've tried in Albuquerque so far, I think everyone should try it!“

“Food and service is great and I have not had a bad experience but the only thing I don't like is the interior. It could use a definite remodel and don't get me wrong, it's not dirty or gross, it's just old that's all but other than that it's a great place to get breakfast because I believe they only open for breakfast and that's it.“
