“4940 is an upscale restaurant with nine(ish) tables inside and another eight or so outside. They specialize in high-end cuisine and specialty cocktails. Having enjoyed dining with them a time or two, they will delight you with unique and rare tastes.

For the price point I expected a bit more however the food itself was exceptional. I understand that this is very nitpicky, but at this price I find it is important. I was personally nonplussed by the high-end ice cubes served in their mixed drinks. I understand it looks classy and cools the drink for longer, however the end result is that 80% of the drink is occupied by an ice cube. In a $16.00 cocktail this doesn't appease.“

Vegetarian options: Genuine Vegetarian options are limited and if you live in New Mexico you know most ALL chilé and/or beans are made with lard or meat broth. But truthfully any meal can be made vegetarian if the person ordering is mindful and orders accordingly.“

“My husband and I have not been to Slate Street for probably about 20 years. It was always fun. We went for my son's 21st birthday party. There were about 20 people for this celebration. It was such a wonderful experience. We were treated like royalty. We had the best waitress. She took great care of us. She learned all of our names. She talked to us like we were friends and have known each other for years. If you go in, ask for Kim. She is an exceptionally good waitress. She made our night special and everyone in the party totally enjoyed her. Everyone seemed to be very happy with their food. I will have to tell you, beware if you get the ribeye steak sandwich. It was uneditable. We were unable to chew it because of Gristle and fat. It was tough to chew. Kim, our waitress, was quick to give us another dish of our choice plus reimburse the meal that we did not enjoy. Other than that, everything was great and fun. Everyone enjoyed playing pool and darts. We had an absolute blast. We will definitely be returning for a fun and eventful evening.“

“If you do not have allergies, I recommend Milly's as the food is very tasty. HOWEVER, if you have allergies, I do not recommend it. I told my server I had a soy allergy and she needed to make sure the kitchen was aware. I noticed she did NOT make note of it on the order form. I should have questioned it when my food arrived but I did not. I am speculating that they use soy bean oil in their fryer. Fortunately my allergy is moderate instead of severe so I was "just" MISERABLE for 2+ days. I contacted them through their website but never heard back from them so I am guessing they do not care. Sad since their food is good and the service is as well.“

“We are driving across country and are now headed back home to SC. We really enjoyed our Mexican dishes. I enjoyed my tamales but my favorite was the pinto beans. I’m serious.“

“We were there for a large business event, all of the lunches & dinners were part of the event, so I didn't try anything from their dinner menu, but I did come in the last morning I was there for breakfast. The buffet was super unique, a refreshing change from the "same ol' stuff" you typically find for a hotel breakfast. Their spin on eggs Benedict was probably my favorite, had a biscuit in leu of the typical English muffin, and the meat was more of a pulled BBQ style than typical breakfast fare. Their brisket and red potato hash was also awesome, a great hearty option for a "meat and potatoes" sort of eater like myself. Atmosphere was nice, very well kept facility, which is typical of this entire resort. The prices are not cheap, the breakfast buffet is $29, so it should be good, in all fairness.“

“While it is great to have a live band, and the band was really good, it is too loud no matter where you sit in the bar to hear anyone talk, even right beside you. Their food was excellent and good-sized portions.

Parking: The parking is tight if you have an SUV.“

“The breakfast food came quickly but the bacon was very crispy it would have been nice if they would have asked us how we wanted it because it was not that good crispy to the level that it was almost burnt and falling apart. It was like that on the side and in my burrito so maybe they were just trying to use up some bacon that had been cooked too much“

“We've been customers of Flying Star since it opened as Double Rainbow in the 1980s. They prepared our wedding cake more than 30 years ago, and we often take out-of-town guests there for a special treat of local, delicious food. We also like dining on their patios. But Flying Star went above and beyond for us recently. I had a big birthday (one of those ending in zero) and they had retired my favorite dessert item from their menu. I emailed them, and John Jones, a manager, responded quickly. I sent him a photo of the item, and he arranged with his bakers to make us a special order. John was great, the bakers flawlessly resurrected my favorite treat, and the staff at the Rio Grande store were very upbeat and friendly when I picked them up. Flying Star's extra effort made my day!“

“I had lunch with my wife today at BJ's and our server Ally made it the most fun and delightful dining experience we have ever had. They have a unique variety of food and something for everyone. The cali club flatbread was delicious and i really appreciate how the kitchen is willing to modify dishes depending on preference. Ally really made trying the in house brews a great experience. Let me tell you she knows her stuff! If you want to learn about some great beers here in town go to BJ's and ask for Ally. She was extremely gracious and patient with all of our questions and curiosity. Props to her for recommending the beer flight which was a great idea because we were able to customize our tasting experience. The Oasis Amber and the Grand Cru are our new favorite. So glad we came in and will be back soon!“

“Today is Memorial Day and the staff was shorthanded. They had multiple people call in. With a crew of a cook, a bartender, and a waitress, they busted their butts and did everything that they possibly could to make sure that everybody was taken care of in a timely manner, some were not so patient, others understood. These guys are great, the food is good, Justin is the best manager, he is calm, and he takes care of everything with pride! Thank you for everything guys. We will definitely be back!“

“Our visit on March 20 was a pleasant discovery. We were in Albuquerque only for the night on our first road trip in a long time. We were seated immediately and even though they were busy the social distancing was great. All of the staff had masks. The selection of food was good and the tastes were great. Some breweries focus on beer and sacrifice the quality of the wine. However, we found our wine to be very good. Our server, Noel, was outstanding. She was attentive without being intrusive. If you have the opportunity you might ask to be seated in her section. Two thumbs up for Craft Republic“

The espresso martini as delivered by the staff was sweet and chocolatey; tasty enough that you won't want to put it down, and a welcome refreshment for a traveller.Service was prompt and attentive without being overbearing, and the food came out quickly. I was glad for the meal, pleasant atmosphere, and a nice room just upstairs.“

“Knowing the world is short staffed, I rarely go out dining and if I do, I do not expect good service. However, I frequent Juniper since it is on my way home and after a long week, I can easily stop in for a lemon drop and ribeye. This is the place I recommend to all my clients and fellow associates for dinner and drinks. I appreciate the spaced seating, the to die for bread rolls and how about those Brussel sprouts and mushrooms?! The fireplace is a nice touch and sets the tone for the evening. Bonus, I play a $50 bill on my way out and occasionally it pays for dinner and gas.“
