“Yesterday we had the privilege of eating at The Narrows Halofax, Nova Scotia's #1 Public House and number #12 in Canada. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere and personable host made us feel like we were home! All of the waitresses were incredible and ours went over and above to make us happy and we truly had the best time. Service was a little slow and unfortunately our order got lost and it took a while to get our food. Kitchen tried to rush the meal to make up for the delay and our spinach dip was still cold in the middle. Overall the food was good and I would return to try the food again.“

“Had a meal with my family here and I hadn't been to Midtown in many years. Food was as I remembered, hit the spot. And our waiter may have been the best waiter I've had in Nova Scotia in a long time. My family has had a very difficult week and my daughter was having a rough evening but the waiter, Colin, knew exactly how to talk to her and he was genuinely kind with my boys. This definitely eased my own stress as well, and later in the evening my daughter brought up how nice he was. I don't usually leave reviews but my experience this evening was a reminder why I love Halifax. Thank you“

“Went here for an early week lunch. Here is mine and my fiancé’s opinions.

Atmosphere - 8/10 (Irish music a bit louder would be great to help separate conversations of nearby tables) but loved the vibes and the flags around (even had the Republic of NL flag… the best flag in my opinion).

Service - 8/10

Food:
- potato skins 7.7/10 (needed a bit more cheese)
- Sweet potato chips 8/10
- Bruschetta 3/10 (dunno if it had cilantro in it but it gave soap vibes)
- Fish and chips 7/10 (if they used Cod it would easily be a high 9)

Drinks: 8/10, loved how they had Guinness 0.“

“The staff at LHTavern were great even upon entering. Our Elders were having a luncheon there and many attended.. the staff serving and working the luncheon were awesome..
Pros at their work services...friendly and quite polite..I thoroughly enjoyed everything..thank you Jan and Mike for your everyday gifts of your work ethics as our Host and Hostess.
My food..the panned cooked haddock with veggies...real mashed potatoes and coleslaw.tartar sauce etc.. was a large serving which I dang near licked the plate clean.

While shooting an event, my bag was stolen and not only did the event coordinator help me sort things out on the camera, but Mike the bouncer actually FOUND my backpack AND all of my gear (minus bank cards) in a nearby lot!! I could not be more grateful for the AMAZING staff who not only kept me calm, but no joke, FOUND ALL OF MY GEAR AND SAVED THE DAY!!! “Me and my boyfriend were looking for a late night date spot, and Millstone was exactly what we hoped for. The food was delicious, especially his hot honey burger. The portions were generous and reflected the prices well. The service was quick and exceeded any expectations we had. Our waitress was the nicest we’ve had out dining in a long time. “This is our local taproom. I just love this place. Great bunch of people...staff and patrons. A great place to relax and enjoy some good conversation. The beer is the best in Halifax if you're into craft beer. Always a great selection and the beers rotate frequently so you never get tired of drinking the same thing....unless of course you want to. They have some specialty snacks to enjoy with your favorites beer too. They do not serve food, but you're welcome to bring in whatever your heart desires, in to eat. Jesse's Pizza and CHKN CHOP are just steps away.A couple of my favorite beers are 12 Years to Zion, DOA and Flat Black Jesus. I'm sure you'll have your own favorites.“

“A very homey and romantic atmosphere. The subdued lighting is reminiscent of the kind of place you take your mistress. The charcuterie board which my wife and I shared was quite excellent. The beer( North Brewery’s Malternate Reality IPA ) was exceptional and my wife “loved” her Red wine spritzer Shiraz. Our server, Scotty, was the most engaging and friendly person I’ve encountered in a Bar or Restaurant in Nova Scotia and I’ve been coming here for 22 plus years. A sublime experience.“

“We came here on a whim. The place looked like a typical bar you'd find on a long drive however it had a Nintendo section which was honestly cool. It was filled with locals who were generally very happy and talkative with the bartender and staff. I actually found this very enjoyable as if gave the place a very friendly and family like vibe. The fries could have used more seasoning, when I brought it to the waitresses attention she let me know they do have a seasoning but they only put it on via request as some people dont like it. (I highly recomend asking for it.) but beyond that it was filling, it was tasty.
