“It is so good! I came to Halifax last May with my wife and we had the fortune to eat at Finbars. In August we moved to the Bedford area, and Finbars is one of our favourite pubs. The service, food and atmosphere are so good. 10 out of 5. I describe its food as gourmet.“

“Pricey, but quite worth it.I had the beef spare rib dinner. The flavour and texture of the meat was excellent, but I was a little bit disappointed with the serving size. Specifically, I wanted more potatoes. The portion of beef was fine.The onion rings and deep fried pickles were also excellent. Some of the best fried food that I have ever had, to be honest.“

“There were 4 or 5 of us who ordered the potato skins, and not one person enjoyed them. Usually there is a bit of potato on the skins, nope. There is no mound of skins here just a flat little plate of very crispy skins off the potato and the cheese is stuck all over the paper they laid them on top of. I had no drinks, just potatoe skins and my order came to over $19. I did ask for extra sour cream because I do love a little extra with my skins but I didn't need it with this order. The servers were wonderful, great, very polite and hard working. Unfortunately Not impressed with the food, size of portion and above all the price.“

“My husband and I had lunch here after seeing the Navy Museum. We had the Bologna sandwich and Hot Chicken and dressing. They were both amazing!! So delicious! Loved the ambience and friendly servers. Highly recommend this restaurant and will be back next time in Halufax!“

“If old buildings aren't really your thing then the atmosphere might not be for you, but the food and staff are consistently very good! I appreciate that it stays open late, but to also offer some of the best pub food in Halifax at reasonable prices on top of that? GOAT “

“Stopped in with hubby and the doggies for lunch. Was thrilled we could have the dogs with us at the table on the patio and that there were water bowls provided. Service was a little slow and unfortunately our order got lost and it took a while to get our food. Kitchen tried to rush the meal to make up for the delay and our spinach dip was still cold in the middle. Overall the food was good and I would return to try the food again.“

“My husband and I tried Jenny’s Pub for the first time today. Words cannot describe how delicious the homemade fluffy pancakes with fresh blueberries were! My husband’s steak was delicious and prepared perfectly. Home fries were equally amazing. The staff were very kind, the atmosphere was pleasant and the restaurant was extremely clean. “Charlie's is wild. Whenever I have friends in from out of town, we go straight here. Two pool tables in okay shape, and one of those juke boxes you play with your phone. Karaoke on Monday is really fun, and ruled with an iron fist by weirdos (the good kind). I'm a regular there, so it's a warm place for me, but if you don't work on being part of the community there, it can be a bit of an uphill battle. Very LGBT+ friendly, maybe the closest thing to a queer bar in Halifax unfortunately. Bigots keep out.“

I had called and reserved a round table, then got worried that it was in the Snug area and panicked a bit that it was going to be a short table. I've only been here once during burger week and seen this area with the comfy chairs.There was no need to worry at all the table was perfect, we had the whole room to ourselves. Probably for the best with all the loud laughing. Such a good night, great atmosphere, waiter was great and didn't mind our shenanigans. Everyone enjoyed their food!Others had chowder, nachos, onion rings, wings, fish and chips..I went with the Pesto chicken sandwich and upgraded with truffle fries.(Roasted Chicken Breast, Red Pepper Pesto, Balsamic Glaze, Caramelized Onions, Fresh Mozzarella, Arugula On Ciabatta Bread)“

“Been a long time since I went to Gus' pub. As much as I hate the new covid regulations the staff there followed them to a T. The bands were great, especially Blood Print. It's amazing the talent they have for all being under 17 years old. They are gonna go far. I'm glad Gus' pub does all age shows now? kids need that“

“Ordered food for my entire team… it was a huge order. They managed to have everything ready in 30 minutes. The food was hot, and soooo incredibly good. The guys couldn’t stop talking about the burger week burger, and how amazing it tasted. We all loved the French fries, and everything else we ate! The service was amazing both on the phone during the order process, and when I went to pick it up. We can’t wait to order from here again, and visit with our families! Thank you so much.“

“If you're looking for Fish'N'Chips in Halifax, you'll find the classic at Irish Alehouse. In a rustic atmosphere, air-conditioned, with live music, our evening was a complete success. Plenty of portions, nice and greasy and simply good.“

“We fell by chance and enjoyed a cozy place with live music where you can dance too, we brought a domino, we played and drank some beers, snacking and listening to good music, the atmosphere was very pleasant, there is an entrance fee of 10 per person but live music is worth “

“Well, I must say the service was fantastic and Alexa. She was so adorable friendly kind helped us with the menu finding a selection. I love this place ever since I was small. I came back here and it’s amazing. Everything looks the same so bright an elegant. The feeling is nice. the price is great don’t matter how much it would be. I would pay for it just because of the environment but the food is also amazing, the people in here are friendly Kind I would recommend this place to everyone what a lovely experience. It’s good to be back after 30 years if I come back to Nova Scotia this would be the first place I come to and I hope Alex is here thank God for this establishment and for this speech, I hope I get a discount next time I come maybe a free meal. lol ?????? ??? “Hidden gem! Food was excellent. Their onion rings are home made. Cuper chunky and crispy. The chicken caesar wrap was really big and full of tender chicken. Chicken curry was great also. Will be coming again as food was great and not overpriced.“
